Chen Erbao had no time to explain. He pulled her out of the car and ducked behind a building, watching his Range Rover from afar.

Sure enough, a moment later, the Honda pulled up next to the Range Rover. Three men in suits got out, circled the vehicle, and stood by the side of the road, whispering among themselves.

Chen Erbao channeled Spiritual Power into his ears and quickly overheard their conversation.

"Quick, tell the Young Master! They're out of the car!"

"Hey, Young Master, we followed him all the way to a factory. They got out of the car here!"

One of the men took out his phone and made a call.

"Good! Find a place to hide and keep an eye on him. We're on our way!"

The voice sounded very familiar to Chen Erbao. After a moment's thought, his brow furrowed. 'Ma Qiming?'

'That son of a bitch just won't give up, will he?'

'He still hadn't settled the score with Ma Qiming and Wang Ming over the Master Chuck incident, and now they were coming after him!'

'Damn them all!'

Killing intent flared in Chen Erbao's heart. He flicked his finger, and several sharp blasts of force shot out, traversing more than thirty meters to knock the three men to the ground.

Lin Rui, standing beside him, saw everything clearly and was momentarily stunned by his actions.

"Brother Er Bao, are they..."

"Xiaorui, it looks like some enemies of mine have shown up. I'll spend the afternoon having fun with you, and then I'll take you back to school tonight," Chen Erbao explained.

Lin Rui's expression changed at his words. "No, Brother Er Bao, I want to stay with you!"

Chen Erbao stroked her hair and comforted her, "Don't worry. They're far too green to mess with me. But having you with me would be inconvenient. You should go back to school first... Besides, I've been in Binhai long enough as it is. I need to head to Dian Nan in a couple of days. I'll come find you at school before I leave, okay?"

"Brother Er Bao!"

Lin Rui was extremely reluctant to leave him, but she also understood the priorities. Seeing his insistence, she could only hug him tightly. "Brother Er Bao, you have to be careful!"

Breathing in Lin Rui's faint, sweet scent, Chen Erbao felt an indescribable sense of peace. He smiled. "Don't worry. They're just a bunch of ordinary people, no match for me at all. I still plan to explore all of Antique Street in the next day or two, and then I have to go to Dian Nan to find something. I'll let these pathetic clowns look for me for a while. I won't be in any danger."

Hearing this, Lin Rui finally relaxed. She looked up and gave Chen Erbao a light kiss on the lips. "Brother Er Bao, I'll listen to you. But you have to promise you'll come find me before you go!"

"Of course... Didn't you say you wanted to try an escape room? Let's go right now!"

"Okay!"

After another moment of tender affection, Chen Erbao led Lin Rui back to the Range Rover. He casually tossed the three trackers to the side of the road, got in, and drove away without a care in the world.

'He didn't have time to deal with Ma Qiming right now. Once he found all the Spirit-Containing Objects, he could take his time dealing with those sewer rats.'

Upon reaching the bustling city center, Chen Erbao took Lin Rui to an escape room.

They paid the fee and were grouped with three strangers. An employee then led them into the pitch-black escape room.

Although there was only a sliver of faint light, to Chen Erbao, the room was as clear as day.

Lin Rui, however, was completely immersed. She clung nervously to Chen Erbao's arm, cautiously scanning their surroundings for any sign of movement.

Chen Erbao found it boring, but seeing how invested Lin Rui was, he forced himself to shut down his highly developed five senses and play along.

He had no choice. If he didn't shut down his senses, he'd be able to hear every single move of the staff member next door playing the role of the ghost, which would make the whole thing utterly boring.

Without his enhanced perception, Chen Erbao could at least feel a tiny thrill.

'Just a tiny one. Not a drop more!'

'After all, he was a powerhouse who could punch with the force of three tons. No ghost or monster could genuinely scare him. One punch, and even Sadako from *The Ring* would be coughing up blood!'

As the game progressed, the staff began using various scare tactics. They would occasionally swing open a hidden door, let out a few roars, or make some other loud noise, which sent Lin Rui and the other woman in their group screaming.

Lin Rui burrowed deep into Chen Erbao's arms, her face pale.

This was her first time playing an escape room, and she was both curious and terrified.

Chen Erbao stayed with her, and they spent half the afternoon in the pitch-black room.

Even after they left the mall, Lin Rui still looked shaken.

"I'm never doing that again!"

she said, her heart still pounding.

Chen Erbao chuckled. "You're a martial artist now and you're still afraid of things like that!"

"But those were ghosts! It's different..."

Lin Rui retorted.

Chen Erbao instructed her, "When you get back to school, you must diligently practice the Pure Maiden Divine Skill. It contains many techniques for self-defense. You need to practice them often so you can protect yourself if you're ever in danger, understand?"

Lin Rui nodded and clenched her fist, saying earnestly, "Okay, I'll definitely practice hard!"

Chen Erbao spent the rest of the day with Lin Rui at a museum. As evening fell, they had dinner, and then he took her back to the Vienna Hotel.

Back in the room, Lin Rui packed her clothes and luggage, then hugged Chen Erbao for a long time, unwilling to let go.

Chen Erbao smiled and rubbed her back. "Don't worry, I'll definitely come find you before I leave... Hurry up and go now, or the school gates will close!"

They drove to the entrance of Binhai University, where Chen Erbao helped Lin Rui carry her luggage to the women's dormitory building before finally letting go of her hand.

"Brother Er Bao, you have to be safe!"

Lin Rui called out worriedly as she watched his retreating figure.

Chen Erbao waved without turning back and walked away.

...

By the time he returned to the hotel, it was already past ten o'clock. Chen Erbao looked at the empty room and sighed.

'He really wasn't used to being alone all of a sudden.'

After composing himself, Chen Erbao took out the longsword wrapped in black cloth and sat down in the living area to study it.

He ripped off the black cloth, revealing an ancient-looking Sword Scabbard.

Unlike when he'd observed it from a distance during the day, upon touching it directly, Chen Erbao could clearly feel a faint pull from the Sword Scabbard's surface, as if it were trying to draw the Spiritual Qi from his body.

'Let's see just what's so strange about this!'

Puzzled, Chen Erbao gently stroked the Sword Scabbard with one hand, while his other grasped the hilt and suddenly drew the blade.

SHIIING!

The clear, ringing sound of metal scraping against metal echoed through the room. Chen Erbao's eyes lit up as he gazed at the sharp blade.

'This... this sword is something special!'

He stared, momentarily stunned and speechless, at the sharpened blade.

He circulated his Spiritual Power and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the longsword actually contained a dense amount of Spiritual Qi!

When it was sheathed, he couldn't feel even a trace of Spiritual Qi. But now, without the Sword Scabbard to conceal it, a dense wave of Spiritual Qi washed over him. It was far richer than any of the Spirit-Containing Objects he had acquired before!
