Before Xie Yuan could fly into a rage, the burly men in suits behind him swarmed forward. "You're looking to die, kid!"
The first three men charged, swinging fists the size of bowls.
Chen Erbao was completely unafraid. He shifted his body slightly to the side and snapped out a side kick.
"BANG!"
The leader went flying with a WHOOSH, while the other two were knocked unconscious by two of Chen Erbao's whip kicks.
In less than two seconds, all three burly men were unconscious!
The crowd gasped in shock once more.
Xie Yuan and Cao Yang stood frozen in shock, instinctively taking a few steps back.
'No wonder this kid dared to cause trouble. He's actually got some skills!'
"I told you, this has nothing to do with you. I'm warning you not to get involved. Do you understand me?!"
Chen Erbao jabbed a finger toward Cao Yang's face, enunciating every word.
Cao Yang's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot, but wary of Chen Erbao's strength, he was momentarily at a loss for what to do.
"Brother Chen, since you're here to..."
He was about to try and placate Chen Erbao while waiting for reinforcements from the Xie Family, but Chen Erbao cut him off mid-sentence.
Chen Erbao stared at him mockingly, his eyes filled with contempt and derision. "Someone like you thinks you're worthy of calling me brother? You're nothing but a skulking rat who's afraid of the light. Now, get the hell out of my sight!"
His final roar was like a clap of thunder, making everyone's ears ring.
The crowd stared at Chen Erbao in horror, backing away to put more distance between them.
No matter how great Cao Yang's self-control was, he couldn't tolerate being publicly humiliated like this. The rage on his face was practically boiling over. "Yang Bo, teach him a lesson!"
Behind Cao Yang, Yang Bo flashed forward to block his path, his gaze fixed solemnly on Chen Erbao.
When Chen Erbao had kicked just now, others couldn't see it clearly, but he had seen it perfectly.
The speed of those two whip kicks had startled even him.
'When did the mainland produce such a monster?'
He looked at Chen Erbao seriously and cupped his fists. "Yang Bo of Hongmen. Let us begin!"
'A practitioner?'
A thrill ran through Chen Erbao.
'Fighting someone like this is what makes it interesting. I hope this Yang Bo can give me a surprise!'
He mimicked Yang Bo's gesture, cupping his fists with a smile. "Likewise. Just a nobody named Chen Erbao!"
Seeing that Chen Erbao didn't announce his martial arts school, Yang Bo paid it no mind. He spread his feet slightly and raised his hands into a fighting stance.
His muscles tensed, stretching the fabric of his once-loose short-sleeved shirt. Yang Bo's entire aura changed in an instant, and he seemed to grow taller.
Chen Erbao also assumed a ready stance, preparing to test Yang Bo's mettle with his Misty Step.
Their eyes met, and in the next instant, they charged at each other almost simultaneously.
Yang Bo's hands were like steel as he accurately grabbed for Chen Erbao's arms.
Fearless, Chen Erbao met the attack head-on. His arm seemed to carry immense force, and the air hummed as he swung it.
Seeing things were going badly, Yang Bo changed his technique mid-air. He lunged forward, ramming his shoulder into Chen Erbao's chest.
Though Chen Erbao didn't know Hong Fist, he could still recognize the move. 'Holy shit, that's an Iron Mountain Lean!'
'Does Hong Fist even have this move?'
Chen Erbao didn't know, but he could already roughly gauge from Yang Bo's speed and power that this guy's strength was only about on par with Chuck's.
He brought his palm down lightly, striking Yang Bo's body.
"PFFT!"
The Power of Three Elephants erupted, and Yang Bo's face went white. The palm strike sent him staggering, and he nearly fell to the ground.
"A Grandmaster!"
His eyes filled with terror. Without a second thought, he tucked and rolled, narrowly dodging Chen Erbao's follow-up whip kick.
'How can there be a Grandmaster this young?!' he roared internally.
He had just rolled to the side when Chen Erbao's kick lashed out.
"CRACK!"
The vicious kick broke several of his ribs, sending him sliding across the floor.
Before, given Yang Bo's close-quarters combat experience, Chen Erbao might have had a bit of trouble. But now...
It was over in a single move!
'With a three-ton punch, who besides a Grandmaster of the same level could possibly block it?'
'Even someone with skin of iron and bones of bronze would be bent out of shape by that punch.'
In less than ten seconds, Yang Bo was lying on the ground, coughing up blood, unable to get back up.
Cao Yang was completely dumbfounded.
He never imagined that the expert personally sent by his powerful backer would be defeated in an instant!
'Is this guy even fucking human?'
Cold sweat beaded on his forehead, and a sliver of regret pricked his heart.
Chen Erbao looked at the trembling Cao Yang and Zhou Yuan and slowly walked toward them.
Seeing him approach, their legs went weak, completely useless.
Chen Erbao looked at Cao Yang expressionlessly, gave him a cursory glance, and then dismissed him completely.
To him, this kind of person was just a small-time thug, a hopeless case, not even worth his time.
This dismissive attitude filled Cao Yang with humiliation.
'It's like I'm a stray dog he can't even be bothered to kick!'
Chen Erbao walked up to Xie Yuan. "Still want to call for backup?"
"N-No! No more!"
Xie Yuan's legs were shaking so hard his teeth chattered.
Chen Erbao nodded and pointed to the raw stone behind him. "I'm taking this stone. Any objections?"
"None!"
Xie Yuan nodded decisively.
"And you're paying my tab for today?"
"I'll pay!"
Chen Erbao turned, picked up the stone, and selected a few more raw stones. He gave Wang Mian a nod and strode out the door.
'Things have gone south, so there's no staying here. Getting a few Spirit-Containing Objects for free is more than enough!'
After Chen Erbao and Wang Mian left, Xie Yuan and Cao Yang, still shaken, were helped to a seat by their underlings.
Yang Bo also managed to get up, clutching his chest and coughing up blood, his expression grim.
"We should get you to a hospital first!"
Cao Yang sat for a long time, trying to calm the fear in his heart, before finally speaking to Yang Bo.
"No need... COUGH, COUGH... I'm fine. Just a few broken ribs!"
He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and looked gravely at Cao Yang, his voice low. "Boss Cao, we can't afford to provoke that man!"
"That motherfucker! He humiliated me in public! If he doesn't die, my name isn't Xie!"
Before Cao Yang could say a word, Xie Yuan slammed his fist on the armrest of his chair. His face was impossibly dark, his voice cold and sharp.
The bystanders in the area had already been cleared out.
Yang Bo hesitated. Seeing that Cao Yang seemed tempted by the idea, he quickly spoke up. "Boss Cao, that man might be a Grandmaster! We can't afford to cross him! You might not see another Grandmaster that young in a hundred years, past or future. We should stay far, far away from a prodigy like that!"
He'd been thoroughly beaten; he no longer had any courage to even think of resisting.
Cao Yang didn't really have a concept of what a Grandmaster was, only that they were incredibly powerful.
He said hesitantly, "No matter how strong he is, can he block bullets with his bare body?"
Yang Bo sighed. "He can't block bullets, but... who could possibly hit him? I know I couldn't."
"I don't care! I want him dead!"
Xie Yuan grew more frantic. The red mark on his face hadn't faded, and one side of it was swollen like a pig's head.
