"How much is all this?"
The bald man's voice was trembling.
The quantity was simply staggering.
Chen Erbao scratched his head, a simple and honest look on his face. "I weighed it at home before coming. It's about a hundred kilograms."
"This amount really isn't much."
"But like I said, if you give me a fair and reasonable price, I can provide a steady, continuous supply."
"I'm not lying."
The bald man was stunned.
'Holy crap, this guy is blowing my mind.'
They'd been trying to buy for months and had barely collected any, and Chen Erbao just shows up with a hundred kilograms?
'And he can provide a steady supply?'
'Who the hell is this kid?!'
On top of that, what a humblebrag.
'A hundred kilograms.'
'A fucking hundred kilograms.'
'And he says it's not much?'
'Does he even hear himself talk?'
Their shop had started buying late, but even the branch in the city, which began purchasing wild Gastrodia two years ago, had only managed to collect less than twenty-five kilograms in total.
Chen Erbao had brought four times that amount in one go!
'And he said it wasn't a large amount!'
The bald man felt like grabbing Chen Erbao and kissing him on both cheeks.
Seeing the bald man remain silent, Chen Erbao got a little anxious. "Brother, are you buying or not?"
"A lower price is fine, too."
A hundred kilograms of Gastrodia might not be a huge amount for Medicine King Hall, but it was a different story for any other place.
Forget about a fair price—among all the places in Cyan Mountain Town that bought medicinal herbs, none besides Medicine King Hall could possibly handle this quantity of wild Gastrodia.
Let alone a steady supply in the future.
If Medicine King Hall didn't buy it, Chen Erbao would have to consider going to Sihai County, and he'd be completely in the dark about the situation there.
The bald man saw that Chen Erbao had misunderstood and quickly explained, "We'll buy it, of course we'll buy it."
"And the price definitely won't be low."
"Brother, it's just that your Gastrodia tubers are so big, we can't be certain they're wild."
"How about this? If you trust us, I'll go get our Shopkeeper to come down."
"If we can confirm it's wild Gastrodia, we can give you a price of at least thirty-five hundred per *jin*!" (A *jin* is half a kilogram).
"What!"
Chen Erbao thought he'd misheard.
'Thirty-five hundred a *jin*?'
'A hundred kilograms... that's seven hundred thousand!'
'Am I about to get rich overnight?'
Chen Erbao's head was buzzing.
"I trust you, I trust you."
The bald man also breathed a sigh of relief, terrified of losing a major client like Chen Erbao.
"Then I'll go get the Shopkeeper right now."
Just as he was about to head upstairs, a clerk hurried over. "Third Brother, there's a batch of herbs over there you need to go supervise."
The clerk ran off before the bald man could even refuse.
The place was hectic.
The bald man's head was about to explode. "Brother, I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit."
Chen Erbao was getting impatient. This was a deal worth hundreds of thousands, after all. He couldn't rest easy until it was settled.
"Don't you just need your Shopkeeper to come down and confirm if this is wild Gastrodia?"
The bald man nodded. "But I really can't get away right now."
Chen Erbao said, "How about I go get your Shopkeeper?"
The bald man's eyes lit up. "Sure."
He'd had the same idea, so it was perfect that Chen Erbao suggested it himself.
"The Shopkeeper is on the second floor preparing herbs. It's the second room on the right when you go upstairs."
"Just leave the Gastrodia here. We have security cameras, so it won't get lost. If anything does go missing, we'll compensate you for the full amount at the thirty-five-hundred-a-*jin* price."
'A big shop like this wouldn't try to cheat me.' Chen Erbao didn't waste any more time and headed straight for the second floor.
The second floor was much quieter than the first.
Chen Erbao immediately went to the first room on the right. Just as he was about to knock, he heard a voice from inside that could melt your bones.
"HUFF... HUFF... A man... I need a man..."
HISS...
Chen Erbao's scalp tingled.
'This is the town, after all.'
'People here are so open-minded.'
'Just from her voice, I can tell the girl inside must have a clear voice and a soft body—the easy-to-pin-down type.'
'But in broad daylight, and in a place like this... isn't that a bit much?'
'Wait a minute!'
Chen Erbao suddenly remembered the bald man saying the Shopkeeper was on the second floor preparing herbs. 'If she was preparing herbs, how could there be a commotion like this?'
'Could it be... she mixed up the properties of the herbs and...?'
The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed. Chen Erbao's face turned pale. 'If this goes wrong, someone could die.'
He kicked the door right open. When he saw the scene inside, his eyes went wide.
A stunningly beautiful woman with fair skin was lying on the floor, her face flushed and her eyes glistening.
She was wearing a black-and-white striped women's blouse, light blue denim shorts, and a pair of white, open-work high heels.
Only a few buttons around her navel were fastened on the striped blouse, with the rest undone, creating a huge, V-shaped opening.
One strap of the white camisole underneath had slipped down to the crook of her arm, causing most of the fabric covering her chest to fall away. Chen Erbao could clearly see a large expanse of snowy white skin that had spilled out.
Soft, white, and tender, they looked like freshly steamed buns, the kind that would spring right back if you accidentally poked a dent in them.
Her upper body was one thing, but her lower body was the real spectacle.
One of the white, open-work heels was still properly on her foot, but the other was halfway off. A single toe was stuck inside the shoe, while the other four were exposed, revealing the pale arch of her foot to Chen Erbao's gaze.
Looking higher, her flesh-toned stockings were torn in several places, clearly ripped by hand. Her light blue, hip-hugging denim shorts had been pulled down to her knees, held up only by the stockings; otherwise, the little white lace panties underneath would have easily been taken off.
But even so, they hadn't been spared.
The very tip of the inverted triangle of fabric had been pulled open, and with her thighs spread wide, the scene within was completely exposed.
Her lips were slightly parted, glistening droplets at the corners, while the pulled-aside crotch of her panties failed to hide the tender, pink lips beneath.
Not only that, but her mouth was stuffed with several stalks of cordyceps, and other herbs had been tucked into her panties as well.
Right then, the beautiful woman, her face flushed, was arduously using her soft nether lips to rub against the cordyceps stuffed inside her, while her other hand fumbled for a large ginseng root nearby.
Chen Erbao only needed one glance to be frozen in place, utterly stunned.
'She's clearly planning to drench that ginseng in her scent.'
He didn't have time to hesitate. He immediately snatched up the prescription he'd seen tossed to the side.
The moment he saw the beautiful woman, Chen Erbao was certain that her condition was caused by taking the wrong medicine.
'The prescription was originally intended to nourish the essence, supplement qi, reinforce the body's foundation, and cultivate vital energy. The person who wrote it wasn't a bad doctor, but they added one extra ingredient—prepared rehmannia—which completely changed the formula's effects.'
'This thing... it's basically female Viagra now!'
