The SSS-rank Guide Doesn't Need Saving

Chapter 108: Virtual Capsule Worth 32 Million?!

Aisha didn’t immediately prepare their food. Eating before training would only hurt their stomachs, and once they were full, their bodies would grow sluggish.

Thus, she kept the pot of stewed meat closed for now and headed for the living room.

Once she arrived, Vesper was being roasted by the two on each of his sides. They only stopped when they saw Aisha closing in.

At last, Vesper’s eyes shone with a look of seeking rescue from her.

Aisha looked at them one by one before gesturing for them to follow her. "Enough with that; let’s go train now."

Kane nodded along with Sabel.

Vesper sighed deeply in relief. If Aisha hadn’t arrived on time, he feared his hair would be torn from his scalp because of these two!

Following the directions to the training room Zeke had told her about, Aisha couldn’t help but feel curious. She hadn’t set foot there since her arrival, having spent most of her time moving back and forth between this place and the Novalis family villa. Besides, she hadn’t stayed here for long.

The only practice she could do was while cleansing the miasma from the meat she procured from the black market.

Still, she knew that would be far from enough.

When the door slid open, a small, dome-like field appeared before them. The walls were lined with steel, and there were cabinets filled with training suits as well as weapons of various sizes. What she couldn’t really fathom was just how spotless the training room was.

Has anyone ever used this place?

Everything looked new and untouched. The floor gleamed under the glowing stones on the walls, with sunlight spilling inside through the windows in each wall, bathing the room with natural light.

"Well, isn’t this just perfect?" Vesper was in awe and looked around. "Is that a training pod over there?"

A single training simulation capsule sat in the corner. It was a piece of equipment most militaries possessed, capable of immersing anyone who lay inside it to simulate a battle against a corrupted monster. It could even pull a person’s consciousness into a contaminated, zone-like space where they could fight as if they were truly inside it!

Seeing such an advance virtual capsule inside the training room, everyone of them couldn’t help but surround it.

Kane rubbed his chin as he looked at it. "This was just released last year... how can this be here?"

Sabel nodded at his words and said, "My father once looked it up for my brothers, hoping he could snatch at least one from the Association. Do you know how much it was at that time?"

Aisha, Vesper, and Kane looked at her with equally curious gazes.

"Fifteen million star credits!" Sabel’s voice trembled slightly at the end as she revealed the price of a single capsule. Her eyes zealously looked at it, and she took out her own terminal to look through the online site of the Association. When she found the capsule on one of their products for sale, she enlarged the screen for them to see. "Look at this, the price has already jumped up to thirty-two million star credits! That’s twice the original amount, and a thousand people have already bought!"

"Th—thirty-two million?" Aisha almost stepped away from the capsule.

That was two million more than what she received from that rotten prince! Wait... now thinking about it, she hasn’t received the rest of her money!

Feeling her rage rising to her head, Aisha had to take three deep breaths before she could calm down. Of course, that didn’t mean she would let Prince Soren get away with not giving her the rest of her money.

But to think that this thing, lying there without ever being used, cost thirty million star credits?

"Let’s try it!" Vesper suggested the idea, already trying to open the capsule.

Kane held him back and shook his head before glancing at Aisha. "Can we?"

Aisha thought about it for a second. Though she was just as interested and wanted to try it as her classmates, she still shook her head to say no.

"Let me ask for permission. If they said it’s fine, I’ll let you know." Aisha didn’t fully reject the idea.

But only when she received Zeke’s permission would she allow herself and the others to use it.

While the three were slightly dejected about not trying the virtual capsule, they were quickly distracted by other things and started to change into their training clothes to start training. They didn’t touch the suits hanging on the cabinets, even if they looked cooler than their own clothing.

Aisha also changed into a simple tunic and pants, trying her hair into a ponytail behind her back. Feeling unsatisfied with it, she braided it and tested its tightness, worried it would come undone while she trained later.

Before moving to where her classmates were, she looked down at her terminal and sighed.

Her messages were still unread, and no reply had been sent to her.

She decided to send another one for her.

[I’ve left the house. Don’t worry about me and call me when you see this.]

Even after leaving the Novalis family, Aisha doubted Zenick would distance himself from her. If he could act coldheartedly towards Irene and cover for her when she broke her neck, being exposed as an adopted child surely wouldn’t deter Zenick from keeping his brotherly affection for her.

Pausing her fingers for a bit, she typed again.

[Let’s meet when you’re done there.]

Still, she hasn’t seen him since the day of the annulment ceremony. Aisha couldn’t help but feel a bit concerned about him.

Then, she messaged Zeke next.

[I’ve brought my classmates inside the house and used the training room with them.]

[You don’t mind that, do you?]

[Please reply.]

After sending her messages, Aisha finally turned off her terminal and approached her classmates.

Sabel went over to her side and asked, "Do you want to spar with me?"

Raising her eyebrow, Aisha was surprised that she asked her to spar with her. But she didn’t refuse and nodded.

"Great!" Sabel was happy and walked to the opposite side.

Aisha watched her as she took her place several steps away from her and heard Sabel telling her to take her time to get ready.

Of course, Aisha didn’t refuse that either, so she started to stretch her limbs. Her bones creaked a bit as knots started to unwind from not being used for a long time. This body wasn’t really suited for fighting, but Aisha did not have a problem with it.

She stretched both her legs by splitting on the ground and reaching her toes with her hands. Then, she stood up, twisted her hip and waist from left to right, and heard it crack with a satisfying sound. She did it also on her neck, twisting it slightly to each side, hearing each crack loosen the tight knots.

Crack, crack.

"Mmmnn." Aisha moaned, feeling her body loosen up more.

After stretching out her joints, she bounced on her feet before stopping.

"Ready?" Sabel called out from across her.

Aisha’s lips curled into an unreadable smile. "More than ready."
