Chapter 71: 71. Two fairies

"Are you all right, young master?"

Kai glanced at Keith, who had just entered his room. At that moment, Kai was working on several tasks Keith was to carry out while he was away. However, Kai hadn’t written down all the tasks there. It listed various known types of spirit fairies. The book was clearly very rare, but it wasn’t surprising that Duke Arslan’s residence possessed it, considering the former Duchess had special powers.

"Why don’t you take a look first to see which fairies you need most to clear the land for the plantation?" suggested Keith.

Kai nodded, then flipped through the book with Keith standing behind him.

After looking through it, Kai decided to summon the plant fairy and the flower fairy.

The two are somewhat similar, but different. A plant fairy has the power to grow plants, helping them thrive and flourish. Meanwhile, a flower fairy has the power to grow flowers or increase the number of flowers on a plant, making them bloom perfectly.

After performing the ritual to summon the two fairies, Kai was worried for a moment that he had failed. But not long after, two small lights appeared before him.

Once they had names, the two lights began to change shape. The lights grew larger and larger until they finally burst apart and transformed into two teenage-looking girls, each only ten centimeters tall. Both had beautiful butterfly wings.

Ivy had white-and-green butterfly wings, while Lia had black-and-pink butterfly wings.

Their appearances were also different. Ivy had very pale white skin, dressed in a green gown with white hair.

Meanwhile, Lia had white skin with a pinkish tint, dressed in a pink gown with jet-black hair.

Both were so beautiful and adorable that Kai thought they were living dolls.

"We will be loyal to you and carry out your commands, master," they said in unison.

Kai cleared his throat briefly, then began to explain why he had summoned the two fairies.

"Creating a vegetable garden is very easy for me, master," said Ivy.

"I’ll also create a flower garden around the lake, since I happen to really love making flower gardens," said Lia.

Kai nodded. "I know you’re both amazing, but I already have my own vision for the garden and flower garden I want. Would you like to see it?" Kai asked.

Both fairies nodded enthusiastically.

Then Kai glanced at Keith, and Keith immediately handed him a printed digital sketch of the pavilion, along with the areas marked for the garden and flower garden.

After looking at the sketch, they both said it would be very easy.

So Kai asked them to start work the next day. But they said they could do everything right then and there. They also had to clear the land around the pavilion, which was still forested.

Kai allowed the two fairies to do everything as they wished. The fairies didn’t have many requests for Kaileon either. They only asked to build a treehouse in the forest that didn’t need to be cleared.

That was all they needed for now.

In the morning, when Kai woke up, he saw that the land had been leveled and the soil was even loose.

Kai walked over to the area, and the two fairies immediately came to greet him.

"Master! Last night we built a treehouse over there! Come see it quickly!" they pleaded, pulling on Kaileon’s arm with their tiny hands.

Kai thought the house they were talking about would be very small, about the size of their bodies.

But Kai was wrong.

The treehouse they built was a large one, about the size of an average person.

It required six large trees to support it. It was like a treehouse designed for five or more people—or even a restaurant—because it had a spacious balcony.

What amazed Kai was how beautifully the treehouse was crafted. It was painted in soft pastel colors and adorned with flowers and lovely vines all around.

In fact, there was even a large bougainvillea tree, suddenly appearing right next to the treehouse, bursting with colorful flowers.

"Did you guys build all of this in just one night?" Kai asked, truly stunned by the sight of the beautiful treehouse.

"We spirit fairies do love building treehouses, young master! Building houses and furniture is our specialty, aside from our main skill, of course."

Kai nodded in understanding, since that was indeed a basic skill spirit fairies might need.

"But how did you build a house that big when you’re— Oh!" Kai was startled to see that the two little fairies had suddenly grown to the size of ordinary humans. They were about 160 cm tall now.

When they grew larger, their wings were hidden.

"This is our size when we’re inside the house, or when we’re not working. With bodies like this, not only can we blend in with other creatures like humans, but we also don’t need much magical energy," said Ivy.

"Because being a tiny flying fairy also requires magical energy, master. This way, we just need to move our legs—no magical energy needed," added Lia.

"Since it’s still early in the morning, let us cook something for you, master!" said Ivy as she pulled Kai’s hand to lead him up to the treehouse.

Inside the house, everything felt luxurious, with beautifully carved wooden furniture. Kai was sure it would be worth a fortune if sold.

But Kai had no intention of exploiting the two of them to build a house or make furniture. Kai needed them for their primary skills.

It was actually still too early; the sun hadn’t even risen yet. Even the hail had stopped.

The scent of rain, earth, and wet grass filled the air, calming the mood.

"Let’s breakfast and discussing the garden, young master," said Ivy.

"Will you let us design the garden and flower beds? We love to design..." replied Lia.

From the expressions on their faces, Kai could tell that both of them were eager to make the garden and flower beds as beautiful as they envisioned.

Kai nodded, agreeing to their request.

"Of course. As for the design, I’ll leave that up to you. I’ll just decide what you need to plant. Do you need seeds to plant?" Kai asked.

They both shook their heads in unison.

"Of course not. We just need pictures or the names of the plants; we don’t need seeds," said Lia.

Kai nodded, then took out the documents he had brought. They consisted of sheets of paper listing the plants to be planted, complete with photos that Kai had printed.

"I need all of this here. This one is for the garden, and this one is for the flower garden—I’ve prepared them for both of you. From here on out, it’s up to you."

The two fairies looked very happy.
