Chapter 103: Chapter 104: Hooligan

Zhang Rong got into Li Yang’s car.

"Why didn’t you drive?" Li Yang asked, a little surprised. "This pickup of mine is hardly a match for a beauty like you, Aunt Rong."

"Honestly!" Aunt Rong shot him a look. "If I hadn’t taken a cab, how would you have gotten this chance to get close to me?"

Li Yang nearly lost his grip on the steering wheel. "Aunt Rong," he said excitedly, "are we going to do something a little wild today?"

Aunt Rong instantly regretted her words. ’Why did I have to flirt with this guy? He’s way more shameless than I could ever be.’

"Get lost!" Aunt Rong glared at him. "Head to the market. I still need to buy groceries."

"Aunt Rong, you’re not a woman of your word!" Li Yang sighed. "Sister Su is all better now, right? That thing we agreed on... you still haven’t made good on it. You’ve got to be honorable, you know."

"You can’t blame me for that. I gave you a chance, but you didn’t take it!" Aunt Rong said with a mischievous smile. "So, I’ve already fulfilled my promise."

Li Yang was so frustrated he could have spat blood.

’If Su Yunmeng hadn’t shown up last time, I would’ve had my way with you.’

He felt a wave of frustration.

Seeing Li Yang look so defeated, Aunt Rong felt her spirits lift. She was even a little smug.

Following Aunt Rong’s directions, Li Yang parked the car and they entered a large market up ahead.

The place was noisy and crowded with people doing their shopping.

As the two of them walked in through the main entrance, they heard a sudden chorus of lewd jeers from the side.

Li Yang knew that sound all too well.

He turned his head and, just as he’d expected, saw several lowlifes sitting there. They were ogling Aunt Rong with sleazy expressions, their eyes practically devouring her.

Li Yang’s anger flared, and he started forward to confront them.

Aunt Rong grabbed his arm, pulling him back. "Let it go," she said in a low voice. "These lowlifes are here every day. It’s not worth getting into it with them."

Li Yang snorted. "Do they look at you like this every time you come shopping? Whistle at you and everything?"

Aunt Rong nodded. "Aren’t all you men like that?"

Li Yang looked wrongfully accused. "Aunt Rong, that’s unfair. I’m not like that at all."

"What you ask for is even more outrageous!" Aunt Rong retorted.

Li Yang looked utterly defeated. "Aunt Rong, you were the one who made the promise, not me."

Aunt Rong realized he was right and was speechless for a moment. Still, she refused to concede. "Well, it’s still your fault!"

’Right. So no matter what, it’s my fault.’

Li Yang gave a bitter smile.

Once inside, Aunt Rong started buying all sorts of groceries. She bought quite a lot, from fresh vegetables to seafood.

"Aunt Rong, are you planning to shut me up with a fancy meal because you haven’t made good on your promise?" Li Yang asked, his arms full of shopping bags.

"You and your imagination!" Aunt Rong felt a pang of guilt, since he’d hit the nail right on the head.

"Aunt Rong, it should be me shutting *your* mouth," Li Yang whispered suggestively in her ear.

"You little devil!" Even though Aunt Rong was a mature woman, she couldn’t help but blush at his shameless words. ’This guy really has no filter, does he?’

Li Yang chuckled, dodging her playful swat. "I’m not wrong, though, am I, Aunt Rong?"

Aunt Rong didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ’How did I end up getting teased by him?’

Just then, they arrived back at the entrance.

"Heeey!" The lewd jeers started up again, this time accompanied by whistles.

"See? Told you she was no good, flirting with some country bumpkin," one of them yelled. "I bet it’s black."

The color drained from Aunt Rong’s face. She was clearly angry now.

Li Yang’s face darkened. He stepped forward and pointed at the middle-aged man who had spoken. "Say that again. I dare you."

"Let it go, just let it go!" Seeing Li Yang step forward, Aunt Rong rushed to pull him back, afraid he would get hurt.

"Was I wrong?" The middle-aged man was unbelievably arrogant. Far from thinking he’d misspoken, he continued brazenly, "The mouth’s on my face. I’ll say whatever the hell I want. What’s it to you? You’re allowed to do your filthy deeds in public, but we’re not allowed to comment?"

The others hooted in agreement.

Li Yang’s expression was grim.

SMACK!

He slapped the man square across the face.

The middle-aged man stumbled and fell right on his ass.

"Motherfucker!" The man raged, and in an instant, several large thugs had surrounded them.

"Please, just let it go..." Aunt Rong said, stepping forward.

"Fuck that! Unless you let me have you for a night, I’m going to cripple this bastard!" the middle-aged man roared.

But before the words were even out of his mouth, Li Yang had already rushed forward and kicked him hard in the torso.

The man let out a pained shriek and was sent flying backward.

"Get him!" the man screamed, clutching his body in agony as he pointed at Li Yang.

The others charged.

But Li Yang didn’t wait, rushing forward to meet them.

They were no match for him. In less than a minute, every single one of them was on the ground.

In the end, Li Yang was the only one left standing.

Aunt Rong stood there dumbfounded, her mouth hanging open.

’That was so badass!’

’A man like that... if I really did do something with him... it feels like I wouldn’t be the one losing out.’
