Chapter 204: Chapter 205: Conquest
Li Yang had already helped him into a life jacket. "Alright," he said with a smile, "I’ll take you for a spin."
Soon, Li Yang was speeding across the lake with Chief Editor Wang.
’This is definitely more thrilling than a motorcycle.’
Chief Editor Wang whooped and hollered the entire time, absolutely thrilled.
Gao Xin Xue breathed a sigh of relief. She knew Li Yang had successfully won him over.
After zipping across the lake for over an hour, Chief Editor Wang finally came ashore.
"Awesome!" Chief Editor Wang exclaimed happily as he unstrapped his life jacket. "Xiaoli, your place is truly fantastic. If I didn’t have other business to attend to, I’d love to stay the night. Oh, right! I have to go back and write an article. A place this great, I have to write about it and give you some publicity. By the way, we didn’t get any photos on the jet ski. You go out for a ride, and I’ll take some pictures. I’ll need them for the article."
Li Yang was ecstatic. "Okay," he said immediately, "I’ll go right now."
The photo shoot lasted a full twenty minutes.
"Alright, I’m heading back now..." Chief Editor Wang was already buzzing with excitement.
He was like someone who had just discovered a new toy and couldn’t wait to share it with his fans.
"Chief Editor Wang, since this is basically an ad for us, about the advertising fee..." Li Yang hesitated, but felt he had to bring it up.
"Don’t be so formal!" Chief Editor Wang laughed. "I’m not quite like other content creators. I take money for ads, sure, but I also believe in promoting good things for free. I want to genuinely share things with my fans. Otherwise, if all I did were paid ads, and everything I promoted was garbage, my fans wouldn’t keep falling for it, right?"
Li Yang was pleasantly surprised. He nodded and gave a thumbs-up. "Chief Editor Wang, you’re one of a kind. Here, here, we’ve prepared some vegetables for you. Take them home and cook them, and let your wife and kids have a taste."
"Oh, you’re too kind!" Seeing the vegetables Gao Xin Xue brought over, Chief Editor Wang beamed. "Well, in that case, I won’t be shy!"
"Don’t mention it," Li Yang said with a smile. "They’re for your wife and kids."
Chief Editor Wang was very pleased. ’Li Yang really knows how to handle people. It seems helping him wasn’t a waste of effort.’
"Alright then. If all goes well, you’ll see the post go live as early as tomorrow. By the way, I’ll include your phone number in the article, so if people are interested, they’ll give you a call."
"Thank you, Chief Editor Wang!" Li Yang called out.
Chief Editor Wang laughed heartily, got in his car, and drove away.
"Sister Gao, what do you think? My idea was pretty good, huh?"
Gao Xin Xue’s face was one big smile. "I’m impressed. You’re pretty sharp, you know? You actually got him to give us a free ad."
Li Yang chuckled. "By the way, a chef might be coming over in the next day or two. Keep an eye out for a call. If his skills are decent, we should hire him."
"Okay!" Gao Xin Xue nodded.
After chatting with her for a bit, Li Yang went back to preparing his herbal remedies.
’The shop is about to be renovated. I need to prepare a good stock of medicine first, write down the instructions and dosages, and then I can just let Zhang Rong handle the sales.’
’Then I can just sit back and collect the cash!’
His spirits soared at the thought.
Li Yang spent the next two days preparing remedies.
Meanwhile, the landlord’s relative gave Gao Xin Xue a call, and he was successfully hired to work in the village.
「Two days later」
Hua Lvlan and Zhang Rong arrived in the village.
"We can get started," Hua Lvlan said to Li Yang. "You’ve already bought all the materials, right? I’ve also brought the construction crew. They’re professionals who specialize in this, so they really know what they’re doing."
"Great, great!" Li Yang led them to the area out back.
"I’ve already leased this entire area at Wushi Ridge. This is Li Dajiang, and this is Li Jianzhong. They’ll be the managers of our pheasant breeding center. Professor Hua, if you have any instructions for them, you can give them directly."
"Alright."
Hua Lvlan immediately threw herself into the work.
"Aunt Rong, would you like to come over to my place for a bit?" Li Yang then asked Zhang Rong.
Zhang Rong shot him a sidelong glance. "Can’t you be serious for a moment... Let me tell you, the little shop is already under renovation. So, what’s your plan?"
Li Yang’s interest was piqued. "What do you have in mind?" he asked immediately.
"Memberships!" Zhang Rong said seriously. "We’ll offer private, high-end personal care services. We’ll have them sign up for memberships."
Li Yang thought for a moment. "Tell me more," he said, pressing for details.
"For example, we could set up a few membership tiers..." Zhang Rong began to explain. "We could have three levels: an annual Black Card, a Gold Card, and a Regular Card. Our service would be providing them with personal care, essentially acting as their private physician, looking after their health to prevent any major problems from developing. Cardholders would also get a discount on those medicines you make. Oh, and your massage techniques are excellent. I think we could train a team of people to perform the treatments. What do you think?"
Li Yang stared at Zhang Rong, wide-eyed. After a long moment, he broke into a laugh. "Aunt Rong, you really have a head for business! I think that’s an excellent idea. How about this: you work out the specific terms and pricing, okay?"
"Oh, you..." Though she said it with a playful scolding tone, she was clearly pleased by his praise. "That’s the easy part. But I was thinking, you’re the only ’doctor’ we have, and we still need to find massage therapists..."
"Don’t worry, I already have people in mind for the massage therapists. As for the ’doctor’ role... I can schedule set days to come in, maybe once or twice a month. How does that sound?"
"That works!"
