The System Sent Me to Breed an All-Female Amazon Tribe
Chapter 540: Bath Time!"Please, we cannot have anyone sniffing at your power, oh Divine Mother. We will try to accommodate you in our city before your eventual departure." Armstrong’s voice was deferential, now worshipful, and the shift in his demeanor was disturbing.
"Hold on! Why are you referring to me as ’Divine Mother?’," I recoiled and stepped back, my hands raised in a gesture of protest. "And you sound like you want me to leave the city as soon as possible!"
We argued a bit, but we cleared up somethings:
"I’m a man, not a woman, okay?" I’d said it slowly, deliberately, enunciating each word like I was teaching a child their first lessons in basic vocabulary. "Man. Male. He. Him. Do you understand?"
"As you will, my goddess." He’d nodded serenely, his red eyes crinkling with what I could only describe as benevolent condescension.
The title had been spoken with such reverence, such earnest devotion, that I almost couldn’t be angry.
As we can see, not everything was well understood by him.
I could see it in the way he kept glancing at me, the way he seemed to be mentally filing away my "request" as a charming quirk of a divine being who didn’t fully understand mortal gender concepts.
It was infuriating, but I didn’t have the mental energy to keep fighting it.
Anyway, I succeeded in becoming an adventurer, and the next thing on the menu was to get a bath.
It really touched me that Eric and his party took the Screener thing surprisingly well.
It was like they’d already accepted that I was capable of anything, that the rules of normal reality simply didn’t apply to me.
I did read their minds a little, tiny, teensy bit, and I found one common factor:
"Well, it’s Benjamin, so it’s possible."
That sounds like a coping mechanism.
A collective shrug of acceptance that was both flattering and slightly insulting.
They’d stopped being surprised by me, stopped trying to fit me into their understanding of how the world worked.
I was just Benjamin, and Benjamin did impossible things. End of story?
Can they suspect me more, please?
I’d prefer a little healthy skepticism over this casual acceptance that bordered on idolatry.
Though Yuki still held skepticism.
Not because she feared me, but more like she already thought I was a monster, and was looking for a way to fight back the day I decide to bare my fangs at her friends.
Her mind had been different from the others—sharper, more guarded, filled with calculations and contingency plans.
She wasn’t afraid of me, not exactly. She was preparing for the worst, the way a soldier prepares for battle even during peacetime.
"How cute, Yuki," I unintentionally let it slip again.
The words had escaped my mouth before I could stop them, drawn out by the warmth I felt toward her determination.
"W-W-Would you stop doing that?!" She nagged as we stepped out of the office down to the main hall.
Her pale cheeks had flushed a lovely shade of pink, and she’d averted her gaze, her hands clenched at her sides. "You can’t just say things like that! P-People might get the wrong idea!"
As we stepped down from the stairs, I noticed the stares, hot and intense...
The eyes of the adventurers in the hall followed us, their gazes lingering on me with an intensity that made my skin prickle.
I put a smile on my face, but it was a fake smile.
For I know it’s because they all think I’m a cursed, easy slut who will absolutely like to engage in some orgy with multiple men and women.
I have to thank Heka and Eric for their "help" later.

It’s a bit scary that Renard haven’t contacted me personally to rant about responsibility and duties.
The silence from him was deafening, a waiting thunderstorm that hadn’t yet broken.
I kept expecting a telepathic message to appear in my mind, a mental summons demanding an explanation for my delays.
But nothing came.
As it turns out, I’m that type of kid who would cross boundaries repeatedly until a parent slapped some sense into their head.
And now I was testing Renard’s patience, waiting to see what would happen when he finally snapped.
It was dark when we left the office, and after a meal at the guild, Eric decided to take us to a bathhouse.
The sky outside was a deep indigo, the first stars beginning to prick through the darkness like tiny pinpricks of light.
Ah, yes, yes, I sure needed a bath.
All those sweating...
I could feel the grime on my skin, the tension in my muscles, the bone-deep weariness that came from a day of nonstop chaos.
He claimed that we needed to bathe together for reasons of skinship blah, blah, blah, at the mixed bath.
The explanation had been accompanied by a lot of hand-waving and vague gestures, as if he was trying to distract us from the real reason—that he just wanted us all to relax together in a social setting.
Apparently, Eric and his party had a house where they lived separately from the inns adventurers usually frequent.
It was a nice place, from what I’d heard—spacious, comfortable, with enough room for all of them to have their own space.
But their bath tub won’t be enough to fit everyone in the party at once, thus, we were going to the bathhouse.
The logic was sound, even if the thought of public bathing made me slightly nervous.
We gossiped a lot as we walked over to the mountainous parts of Thaad at the west angle, watching how some buildings were still under repair from the earlier wyvern invasion.
The scars of the attack were still visible—broken walls, shattered roofs, scaffolding and construction materials piled in neat stacks for the next day’s work.
The damage was extensive but the repairs were well underway, an evidence of the resilience of the city’s inhabitants.
Finally, we reached our destination, and it sure looked like a bathhouse.
I wasn’t used to one, even in my time on earth, so this would literally be a first for me.
The building was large, its exterior decorated with intricate carvings and patterns that seemed to tell stories of water and healing.
Steam rose from vents in the roof, with the faint scent of minerals and herbs.
"Benjamin, come let’s undress in this room!" Sophia grabbed my hand and pulled, while Sapphire and Eric went to another room.
Her grip was firm, insistent, and I found myself being dragged along despite my protests.
"C’mon, I don’t like being pulled like that! I’m coming." I whined, but I reluctantly followed.
The room she led me to was small and private, lined with wooden benches and hooks for hanging clothes.
The air was warm and moist, with the scent of cedar and some floral smell
Looking around, when I was being dragged, I realized that most of the people there were probably adventurers.
It was an adventurer city, after all.
Actually, it was a village once, according to our long-lived friend, Eric.
But Armstrong and the village chief joined forces to upgrade it to a city, when a Guild was supposed to be formed there.
The history was fascinating, a reminder that Thaad was built on ambition and cooperation. And now I was part of that history...! However briefly.
