The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 2280: An Incident at the First Research Institute, Return Immediately

Nathalie Quinlan’s injured right hand delayed her return to Inderia by half a month.

Over that month, she was basically running back and forth between Rhine and Tsinghua University, and in between she had to go to the hospital to visit Mr. Zachmann.

Mr. Zachmann was in a good mental state and had a relatively open-minded personality.

After Caryn Zachmann’s incident passed, he never brought her up again, as if there was no such person in the family, like smoke dispersing in the air.

Nathalie also didn’t ask Amadeus Yancey how he had dealt with Caryn in the end; she figured she probably wouldn’t see Caryn appear in front of her again for the rest of her life.

After that phone call from Celine Tucker, Leonardy Zachmann never called her again; instead, Nathalie would occasionally run into him at the hospital.

Leonardy always had guilt written all over his face and hurried away in a rush.

Nathalie didn’t press him with too many questions.

A month passed in the blink of an eye.

Because Amadeus was watching over her and changing her dressings every day, Nathalie’s shoulder and right hand healed particularly fast; in just over twenty days she could already move her arm freely.

It was just that when she moved her shoulder, if her movements were too big, it would still tug at the wound, but it was no big deal.

During this time Nicholas Fuller from Inderia had called twice.

On the phone Nicholas didn’t say much; he just mentioned that her arm was injured and told her to recuperate properly in Beijing and not rush back.

A month later.

Nathalie was getting ready to go back.

Before leaving, she divided the medicine she had made in her spare time into three parts: one for Mr. Zachmann, one for Giordano Yancey, and she also had someone bring one to Lowie Wilmar.

The day before, she had even gone out to eat with Candice Yancey.

The next morning, bright and early.

Nathalie quickly packed her things and got ready to set off.

Capital City Airport.

Alfred Garland took her luggage to check-in, then went to arrange the boarding, and at the very last second before the airplane was about to depart, Sadam Vinson came rushing over with his suitcase in tow.

"Holy shit, good thing I made it."

Nathalie was holding a can of hot coffee in both hands and lazily said to the person beside her, "Sadam’s going too?"

Amadeus helped her with her coat, raised his eyebrows, let his line of sight sweep once over toward Sadam and Alfred, then replied in a lazy tone, "His family’s pushing him into blind dates, so he insisted on tagging along. If you don’t want him to go, I’ll send him back."

Sadam happened to hear that. He could still accept the first half of the sentence, but at the second half his heart instantly sank like a dog’s.

Was that even something a human would say?

But he knew very well that Amadeus didn’t just talk like a non-human, he didn’t act like one either.

If Nathalie really didn’t let him go, Amadeus would definitely pack him up on the spot and ship him back for his mom to come pick up.

He stared pitifully at Nathalie.

"Oh." Nathalie nodded and withdrew her line of sight. "It’s fine, I was just asking."

Ugh, Sadam’s eyes instantly welled up.

Just then it was time to board.

Alfred came over to call them.

The girl casually tossed the mostly finished coffee into a nearby trash can, stuck one hand into her pocket, and got ready to board the airplane.

Inderia doesn’t fall under normal flight routes.

They were all using the Yancey Family’s private airplane.

With Amadeus handling the arrangements, the timing was very relaxed.

Before boarding the airplane, Nathalie received a phone call from Mr. Yancey, asking whether they had boarded yet and reminding her to let him know once they arrived.

After taking the phone call, Nathalie boarded the airplane, found a quiet corner and had just sat down. She was about to turn off her Phone and take out her Blindfold to sleep.

The Phone screen lit up.

She thought it was someone from Beijing messaging her, so she casually picked up the Phone, lowered her head, planning to reply and then turn it off.

Who knew the person who sent the Message wasn’t Shawn Norton and the others.

It was Violetta Hoffman, who hadn’t contacted her in a long time.

Nathalie’s eyes narrowed slightly as she leaned back in her seat and opened WhatsApp.

Violetta’s Message was very simple, just a single short line.
