The Magical Stone

Ellie, feeling no need to demonstrate her prowess further, insisted that Aman notify the others. She trusted that Aman could issue commands or speak in a manner that wouldn’t arouse suspicion towards her.

Just like when he didn’t want everyone to know that she had given the Tezetrons plant to heal his brother, earning a high-level rake as a reward. "Explain it to me again," he asked more earnestly.

"Originally, I didn’t know how this stone worked, until recently when I encountered a dangerous beast, it started to heat up. So, I understood it might have the ability to warn us. Suddenly, it has heated up again," Aman explained, causing others to look at each other.

They didn’t know if the family head’s son actually possessed such a magical stone, but what they did know was that Aman had no reason to lie. He was a member of the Setter family, and this advance warning was for everyone’s safety, wasn’t it?

"So, you’re saying this stone senses that a severe danger is approaching?"

"I believe so," Aman affirmed. Steven looked around before issuing orders swiftly.

Under the leadership of the Setter family head, several hunters quickly went into hiding. They didn’t have much time to deal with the remnants and blood trails, so they had to move away from the recent battle area as much as possible and then hide to avoid facing the danger that Aman had warned about.

Aman took Ellie to hide high up in a tree next to a large cliff. He planned that if they were found, he would take Ellie up the cliff. "Abort hiding immediately and flee as fast as possible. The monster is frenzied and pays no attention to anything else!" Upon hearing this, everyone in the family appeared immediately. They shared the family head’s thoughts; hiding in trees or on rocky outcrops would not be safe.

This monster was in a state of frenzy. It did not care whether any creatures were hiding; it was intent only on destruction!

"Head north! Move into the forest and do not lead it towards the city at all costs, or we might lose our city on the 6th floor!" Steven continued. Gaining the city in the 6th floor had been difficult; losing it like this would be disastrous.

"If so, where do we end up? Heading north is certain death," a branch leader frowned. He did not want everyone here to die for sure. If they had to flee, it would be better to return to the city and transfer back to the 5th floor, wouldn’t it? True, if they did that, the city on the 6th floor would certainly be lost, but it was still better than exposing everyone to danger.

"Are you saying you want to sacrifice the city in this floor?"

"Run!!" Ellie shouted. Aman noticed Fernandina’s action as well and quickly grabbed Ellie, leaping forward.

Aman glanced at Ellie, who directed the way for him. Gritting his teeth, the stress and pressure of the crisis allowed him to make quick decisions, and of course, Aman trusted Ellie.

"Everyone, follow me," he shouted, then sprinted forward rapidly. Fortunately, Aman had a magic device that enhanced his speed, and since Ellie was light, carrying her on his back was no significant burden.

"Aman, where are you taking us!" The branch leader shouted as he sped up to match Aman. Ahead of them was a steep cliff, which required more physical effort to climb than running on flat ground. But before Aman could respond, Fernandina’s earth magic was ready.

A mass of earth as large as a mansion hurtled towards the Setter family members at high speed. Although it was huge, it fortunately collided with the ground and large trees along the way, and Aman’s quick decision helped many people escape. Though some were injured by the debris, they managed to reach the cliff top.

The Fernandina grew even more furious when it saw its enemies escaping. Lacking the power to fly or move up high, so when it saw the small humans resembling its enemy running around on the ridge, it continued to run below, as if to say it didn’t believe these humans could live on that mountain forever.

Not only that, but it also unleashed its earth magic around, hoping that the release of its power would incidentally strike this foolish human. Its plan was indeed correct.

The powerful earth magic was unleashed incessantly, so some of the Setter family members were inevitably injured, and some even died, though they were few in number.
