The business at Taoyao Square is getting better and better, and everyone is so busy they can’t keep up.

Jiang Jing is now mainly responsible for consultations, especially gynecological diseases, which almost all come to Jiang Jing for treatment.

Su Yaoguang is in charge of various project management, taking five newly recruited female assistants to provide door-to-door services for important clients. After setting them on the right path, she picks the smartest one to be the steward, letting them take charge of this door-to-door service. The Zhang sisters are responsible for skincare product preparation. This is a major secret of Taoyao Square, and it certainly can’t be entrusted to others. Although they also hired three male assistants to help with chores, these three male assistants have no access to the secret formula, and the important steps are still handled by the Zhang sisters. Jia Chunni learns medicine from Jiang Jing and assists her.

Su Yaoguang, as the general manager, goes wherever she is needed, constantly busy and on the move.

"Yaoguang, Wang Shu hasn’t come back for half a month, right?" Zhang Zhaodi asked while checking inventory, "Aren’t you going to show some concern?"

"He’s busy!" Su Yaoguang said, fiddling with the abacus, "I’m busy too."

"Your uncle-in-law is busy because he’s preparing for the upcoming imperial exams. Our Wang Shu is not cut out for this, no need to work so hard. Are you pressuring him? The guy with the surname Xiao is going to take the exams, and everyone says he’s talented and will surely pass. You’re not trying to compete with Jiang Yihuan and push Wang Shu to earn some fame for you, are you? I’m telling you, although I’ve compared myself with Zhong Lanhua for half my life, you can compare yourself with Jiang Yihuan, but you can’t let Wang Shu compete academically with that Xiao guy. Can just anyone read and write? If everyone could, the streets would be full of scholars and graduates, wouldn’t they?"

"Our Wang Shu is doing quite well. Look how sensible, worry-free, and sweet-mouthed he is; he stands up for you at crucial moments. He’s never looked down on you; you wouldn’t look down on his slow wit, would you?"

Su Yaoguang sighed, "Mother, I’m not pressuring him, nor am I looking down on him. He said he’s been busy lately and needs to stay at the academy. I can’t just pour cold water on him, can I?"

"That’s true. It’s good that he wants to improve, but don’t put too much pressure on him, or you’ll drive him crazy." Zhang Zhaodi said as she took the abacus from her hands. "You go to the academy to find Wang Shu, take him out for some fresh air. Don’t let him stay in the academy all day and turn into a fool."

"Mother, I haven’t finished these accounts yet!"

Zhang Yingdi took over, "I’ll do the calculations, you go accompany Wang Shu."

"Alright then!"

"Where are you going?" Zhang Zhaodi called her back when she saw her leaving.

"Didn’t you tell me to find him? I’m going now!"

Zhang Zhaodi glared at her, "You know how to doll others up, but when it comes to yourself, you’re so sloppy?"

"What’s wrong with how I’m dressed?" Su Yaoguang spread her arms open.

The Zhang sisters simultaneously shook their heads, their identical faces showing the same heavy expression.

"Chunni, Jing’er, take her down." Zhang Zhaodi waved her arm, summoning two little helpers.

Su Yaoguang was restrained by her friends.

An hour later, a young girl with a new hairstyle, new hairpin, and exquisite peach blossom makeup was pushed out the door. She staggered a bit, catching herself on the doorframe to avoid falling.

A hand reached over, unclasping her beautifully manicured hand, and then closed the door.

"Yaoguang, your godmother said you finally have a day off. Spend some quality time with Wang Shu, don’t worry about rushing back. We won’t prepare dinner for you both; you can eat out."

Su Yaoguang: "..."

When Su Yaoguang arrived at the academy, the old servant at the door said he had just left. Su Yaoguang thanked him and wandered alone on the street, only to bump into Jiang Ziqian holding a lantern.

Jiang Ziqian smiled, "I almost didn’t recognize you."

Su Yaoguang touched her cheek, a bit embarrassed, "Is it weird?"

"No, it looks great. Just hadn’t seen it before, so I didn’t recognize you." Jiang Ziqian said, "It’s dinnertime now. Have you eaten?"

"I haven’t yet, but since I’m alone today, I won’t visit Jiang’s Restaurant. I planned to grab something from a stall."

"What a coincidence! I wanted to eat street food today too. If Boss Su doesn’t mind the company, why not join forces?"

"I don’t mind, of course," Su Yaoguang said, "But what did you originally plan to do?"

"I was planning to clear my head and get some fresh air. Jiang’s Restaurant has been struggling to develop a new dish. Staying home didn’t seem right, so I decided to come out for a walk."

"The food at your restaurant is already quite unique. Developing a new flavor is naturally challenging. You might try something new, like we do—skincare has its own set, makeup has its own set. You could create a set for different dishes. Like, if originally ten dishes cost two taels of silver, bundle them and offer a two-hundred-cent discount. So, if someone intended to order just five dishes, they’ll opt for your set because it’s cheaper and more impressive. This way, your dishes are sold, the customers are happy, and they’ll return next time with more friends."

"Brilliant! I never thought of such an approach," Jiang Ziqian said excitedly. "Miss Su, you’re truly my benefactor."

Zhou Wangshu stood across the street, arms crossed, looking displeased at Su Yaoguang and Jiang Ziqian sitting at a wonton stall.

Su Yaoguang sensed something, turned around, and saw Zhou Wangshu and Chen Buyu among others.

"What are you doing here?" Su Yaoguang asked in surprise.

"We happened to be out for a meal," Chen Buyu said, pulling Zhou Wangshu along. "What a coincidence to meet you here."

Chen Buyu and Zhong Chushan sat on either side of Jiang Ziqian, leaving the seat beside Su Yaoguang for Zhou Wangshu.

"Boss, three bowls of wontons please."

Zhong Chushan put his arm around Jiang Ziqian’s shoulder, smiling, "Speaking of which, Boss Jiang isn’t that much older than us, yet his business is so thriving. Much better than we are. How come Boss Jiang isn’t married yet?"

"Marriage is a big deal, not to be taken lightly. I don’t want to marry just anyone; I want to find someone I truly like," Jiang Ziqian said, glancing at Su Yaoguang, a hint of embarrassment in his eyes.

"I heard something about you and your sister-in-law..."

"Brother Zhong, please don’t talk nonsense. My sister-in-law and brother were deeply in love. After my brother was killed, she almost followed him but held on because of her unborn child. Those gossips were spread by vile people who failed to court her. To avoid gossip, she has returned to her maiden home to await childbirth. In my eyes, an elder sister-in-law is like a mother, and I only have respect for her," Jiang Ziqian said solemnly.
