Chapter 1202: Chapter 1202: Teasing Mason Nightshade

The girl lay lazily on the hammock, with one beautiful long leg pinned in her arms and the other swinging, her hair fluttering. Her peach blossom eyes seemed half-open, half-closed, as she yawned lightly; a thin mist covered her eyes, radiating spring, making Mason Nightshade feel a tightness in his lower abdomen.

Damn it!

As soon as the sound of the yawn rang out, everyone knew that the call was from a woman. It was well known that Mason Nightshade kept away from women; who could this be? Was it possibly that troublesome eldest daughter from the Shaw Family?

Everyone perked up their ears, eager for more gossip.

Grayson Quinn shook his head, seeing the smile reflected in Mason’s eyes, he sighed deeply, thinking could this big dog not tone down his expressions? Tch, the cold aloofness banner had shattered completely.

"You don’t look so well," Aurelia Shaw’s lips curled up, her eyes filled with mischievous laughter. Her face showed signs of having just woken up from an afternoon nap, but she didn’t worry at all. With this big dog’s possessive nature, no one else would be allowed to see her like this, right?

He probably just wanted to keep her hidden, for his own viewing only.

"Hmm." Mason Nightshade unabashedly let his gaze roam over Aurelia, his face still donning that cold, abstinent look.

Aurelia chuckled, intentionally acting spoiled, "I’m hungry."

"I’ve instructed Mrs. Rong to make you a meal." As he spoke, he quickly composed a message and sent it to Mrs. Rong, opening a video window immediately after.

"A moment ago, Mrs. Rong came up and asked, but I didn’t know what to eat. Viscount Zhou said there’s a new barbecue place that’s supposed to be good. Are you working late tonight? If you’ll be home late, I’ll go out to eat with Viscount Zhou."

Mason’s face darkened, "I won’t be working late, I’ll be home soon. Be good and don’t eat out; food outside isn’t hygienic. I’ll send you a recipe of a dish you like later, pick out what you’d like and tell Mrs. Rong. I’ll be home within an hour."

...

Lynn Easton’s face turned green, overwhelmed by an unprecedented sense of failure. She had never felt so defeated, losing even before she could make a move.

She sat next to Mason Nightshade, placed there by Amir Easton on purpose. She glanced stealthily at the screen, seeing a stunning girl without makeup, her brows and eyes filled with smiles. She didn’t act coy in front of Mason, instead, she laughed heartily without concern for her appearance, silently mouthing something to Mason.

Before seeing the girl’s face, Lynn only felt failure and deep-seated jealousy. But after glimpsing her, even just a quick look, Lynn realized that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t compare.

It was an indescribable feeling of defeat.

Was it her delusion, or did the girl see her too? Would she misunderstand? Would she argue with Mason later?

Lynn was suddenly seized by a wicked thought, wanting the two of them to fight over her, wishing for the girl to misunderstand Mason, hoping that this woman was like herself, just an ordinary woman capable of misinterpreting someone else’s goodwill.

...

Grayson Quinn glanced at Lynn’s dark and gloomy face and her sinister gaze, then at Mason who was focused on editing a menu, and raised his eyebrows.

The peach blossom entanglements were everywhere.

yet this man was so cold-hearted, not sparing a single moment of affection for anyone but Aurelia.

...

Aurelia felt elated after ending the video call with Mason. Remembering Mason’s dark and irritable face, yet he couldn’t do anything about her, mysteriously elated her mood.

Her peripheral vision caught sight of a black shape in the yard.

Aurelia paused.

A soldier?

Suddenly realizing something, Aurelia jumped off the hammock and rushed outside, alarming Mrs. Rong who thought something serious happened, and immediately followed her.
