In just a brief moment, the first batch of infected individuals was suddenly covered in various plants.
"Ah, ah!"
Someone screamed in agony, feeling as if something was growing inside his head, on the verge of bursting it open.
Bang!
A hole appeared in the middle of his head, blood and flesh splattered, and a sapling grew out of it, but the sapling was not green; it was eerily white!
The others weren't faring much better. Another person's chest exploded, and a bizarre flower bloomed, quickly covering his entire body.
The newcomers saw the people almost entirely overgrown with plants and looked on with disbelief and fear, finding the situation utterly incredible.
Moreover, those infected hadn't died immediately; they howled in pain, rolling on the ground futilely as the plants on their bodies grew vigorously.
In despair, one man looked at his companions in horror, shouting, "Kill me! Kill me!"
He crawled forward, extending his right hand, shocking his fellow man.
But at that moment, his body stiffened, and his upper torso suddenly exploded, releasing several extremely eerie flowers into bloom.
The others, witnessing this terrifying scene, were petrified, and suddenly someone felt an itch in his nose, reaching in to scratch it only to pull out a vine!
At that moment, he felt as if he had gone mad!
Everyone who climbed the mountain found themselves unable to avoid this danger, and by the time the people at the foot realized it, it was too late.
This was actually a plant toxin recently developed by the Poison Emperor, combined with various materials to extract seeds that could rapidly grow on humans, although it was very dangerous and uncontrollable. This time, it left a "gift" for the other forces.
...
The number of people besieging Wind God Hall was large, and more and more European Influences were joining in. Raymond Hall and the Wandering Knight Order were merely small to medium-sized forces, and the real battle had yet to begin.
However, the slaughter of thousands discovered at the foot of the mountain spread quickly, causing many to shiver internally. Evidently, Wind God Hall was not to be trifled with, as they turned the tables on those attacking them.
Yet, this only pleased those forces more because it led the mastermind to increase the bounty for dismantling Wind God Hall.
Meanwhile, Wind God Hall was already hidden in batches under Jiang Sen's leadership, concealed across Europe. Those who escaped from previous bases also hid.
Although the forces of Wind God Hall lay dormant, waves surged through all of Europe.
Ren Feng had already gone underground alone; his immediate priority was to find evidence about Princess Lucia and rescue her.
Catherine quickly provided clues, which Ren Feng scanned with a gleam of determination in his eyes.
The clue pointed to a gang within the Wind God Hall's territory called the Quincy Gang. The bar Lucia had entered was owned by this gang.
But after Lucia disappeared, the bar suffered a massacre, including the gang leader Derek; none survived. Witnesses saw someone enter and kill everyone inside.
However, Catherine keenly sensed something amiss, immediately sending investigators, who discovered Derek was alive and appeared in France.
So, the Quincy Gang's demise was but a facade, and the dead within were not truly Derek.
If Derek lived, he must be involved, so Ren Feng's first task was to find him for answers.
Ren Feng changed outfits, identity information, and citizenship details, aided by Black Dragon and Fire Phoenix.
Then, Ren Feng boarded the train heading to France.
Following the last lead, Derek was later in Paris, France, frequenting bars on a particular street.
After a few hours, Ren Feng reached Paris; it was already afternoon, leaving no time to spare. He immediately headed to that bar street.
But seeing the bar street made Ren Feng frown. There were many bars; Catherine's intel didn't specify which one exactly. Given Derek's knack for feigning death, he could escape at the slightest hint of trouble.
Formulating a plan, Ren Feng casually walked into a bar and approached the counter.
"What would you like?"
The server at the counter asked Ren Feng.
"A pint of black beer, keep the change."
Ren Feng tossed some francs over, took a sip of the black beer, and asked calmly, "Who's the most powerful boss on this bar street?"
"Oh, you mean Debri George. Actually, all the bars on this street are his." The bartender laughed.
Ren Feng was intrigued; he didn't expect to uncover something by casually asking. Derek's surname was George, indicating he and Debri were brothers. Fortunately, their names were similar; otherwise, finding them would have been much harder.
"Where are they now?"
Ren Feng asked casually.
"Usually in the bar in the middle, but ordinary folks can't go in."
Ren Feng nodded, didn't ask further, finished his black beer, and headed out of the bar, entering the third one directly.
This bar indeed was more lavish and bustling than the others, evident from the larger number of scantily clad women.
Ren Feng squinted slightly, the most urgent task now was finding Derek, and there's only one swift way.
Ren Feng went to the billiards area and suddenly bumped into someone.
"Hey, you looking for trouble?"
The Black guy angrily pointed at Ren Feng, seemingly ready to fight at any moment.
"Yes." Ren Feng replied calmly.
The Black guy paused, then swung a punch towards Ren Feng's nose.
But the punch missed; Ren Feng dodged it, countering by grabbing his neck and slamming him hard onto the pool table.
Bang!
A muffled thud echoed, Ren Feng raised his head, and the Black guy's face was smeared with blood. Without a word, Ren Feng slammed his head down once more.
"Hey, hey, stop!"
Several burly foreign men overseeing the place noticed, shouting defiantly as they charged over!
