"You don't owe me anything." Feng said, holding Liou Rumei's hand.
Liou Rumei blinked, and Feng continued, "Rumei, do you remember what you said when we first met at the Butterfly Overturning City Club?"
"What did I say?" Liou Rumei looked at him with a smile.
"Back then, I didn't care at all about Qingcheng International. You know, what I cared about was you. You were so beautiful and irresistible, and you often seduced me."
"Did I?" Liou Rumei blinked innocently.
Feng smacked her on the butt again: "No matter what you said back then, remember this: Qingcheng International is yours, but you are mine."
"So, use Qingcheng International's funds however you want, no need to consult me. As long as I have you, that's enough."
"Aren't you afraid that I'll end up bankrupt and we'll have to live under a bridge?"
Liou Rumei giggled.
"Fine, then we'll bring more blankets when the time comes."
Liou Rumei giggled, "But this money is still yours. You've given me hope and an opportunity to redeem the Liou family. That's already a lot. This is like a gamble where I've bet all my chips, but I can't put all of your capital on the line too."
Feng laughed and said, "Then I'll bet on my own. I'm betting you'll win."
"Betting without knowing the situation — you're the least qualified gambler," Liou Rumei said with a smile. "I'm not even sure I can win, so why do you believe I'll win?"
"I know you don't fight battles you're not confident about," Feng smiled. "Besides, even if we lose, it's no big deal. It's just losing some money, right? We can always start over."
"It's not just some money," Liou Rumei said with a hint of annoyance. "It's tens of billions or even more — we might be burdened with huge debts for a long time."
Feng chuckled, "Then I'll pay for it when the time comes. What's your next move?"
"I'm waiting," Liou Rumei said. "The Liou family's Business Alliance has disbanded, leaving only the Liou family to stand alone. While it's still a giant, it now looks like a juicy piece of meat in others' eyes. Many people want to take a bite out of it. When the water is muddied enough, that's when I'll catch my chance."
"You're really impressive." Feng smacked her again, feeling unsatisfied. The sensation was great.
Liou Rumei shot Feng a glance, "It's thanks to you. If you hadn't tipped the scales three days ago, it wouldn't have been this simple. Now those families have disappeared; even those not gone have lost their core, like directionless ants."
"What if others don't act so easily?" Feng asked.
"Though the likelihood is low, I'm prepared. Murong Yan, Shangguan Fei, and several families have been eyeing us. If they step in, we'll have to share some profits," Liou Rumei said.
Feng had to admire her ability to foresee the conclusion of things. Her business acumen was truly unmatched.
"Did those families agree?"
Liou Rumei smiled, "Of course they would. They're not foolish. Now, it's only a matter of time before the Liou family falls. Most people now just want to bite off the juiciest part of the Liou family. With so many industries, the profits from each are irresistible for those families."
Feng nodded as Liou Rumei shifted positions, regretting, "Today was really cheap for them. I originally had other plans, but didn't use them."
"What plans?" Feng asked curiously.
"I thought about how the old man of the Liou family just left so gloriously; it's too easy for him. So, I planned to rent a hundred red cars to line up and see him off — with firecrackers and suona playing celebratory tunes — it should be a happy occasion."
"After the first hundred cars pass, I would make a cheerful entrance. Wouldn't that be stunning?"
"Why didn't you do it?" Feng asked with a laugh, surprised by Liou Rumei's thoughts.
"You're silly." Liou Rumei rolled her eyes, "With so many red cars ahead, the Liou family would know someone was deliberately causing trouble. They'd block the entrance, preventing all red vehicles from entering — I wouldn't be able to get in either."
Feng laughed loudly, "If you want, you still can get in. The Liou family would have no choice but to watch you enter."
"No, always relying on your help feels boring. This kind of thing is more interesting when done alone. I'm telling you — don't meddle in the upcoming events."
Liou Rumei seemed to be whining.
"Alright, I won't interfere." Feng embraced Liou Rumei.
"I've done all I should," Liou Rumei lazily lay in Feng's arms, saying, "Just waiting for the big fish to bite."
"What bait?" Feng asked curiously.
"I won't tell you, and besides, I want to bite your bait first."
Liou Rumei burrowed into the blanket and quickly bit a certain part of Feng.
Feng's body stiffened, he chuckled bitterly, "Again?"
"What's the matter? Can't handle it?" Liou Rumei's teasing voice came from the blanket, "You don't even have to move. I'll play on my own."
"Enchantress."
Feng gritted his teeth and then suddenly flipped over, pinning Liou Rumei beneath him once more.
The bedroom echoed with a rhythm of long, short, urgent, and slow sounds.
...
Yanjing was still raining.
Spring rain is as precious as oil, and this spring shower made the entire Yanjing seem misty.
Small rain on the street is as smooth as grease, distant grass looks green without being able to tell it apart; using this poem to describe it is so appropriate.
It was as if the whole world was washed in the ink-like mist, the distant skyscrapers fading and swelling, dreamlike and illusory.
Dense humidity also permeated through the gaps in the glass, leaving the body chilly.
Feng got out of bed; Liou Rumei was still comfortably lying there.
He dressed, then got up and dialed a number.
"Feng." A voice filled with surprise yet deep came from the other side.
"Leave Jiangnan's matters to others, bring some people, come to Yanjing, and prepare to open a branch," Feng said.
"Yes."
After hanging up the phone, he stood by the window, gazing at the drizzle outside, his mind drifting away.
The matter in Yanjing was nearing its end, but the Liou family might make desperation moves yet again, so he had to be cautious.
Feng also planned to stroll around. It seemed like he hadn't really explored Yanjing yet, and it was a good opportunity to relax.
After entering Yanjing two months ago, the series of events was like a blur.
Luckily, the outcome was positive; Freemasonry and the Five Families were exterminated, the forces obstructing Wind God Hall were cleared, and he no longer needed to worry.
Now, his only curiosity was about the realm beyond Saint Realm, the strength of those nearing Ancient Era levels.
Currently, he's at the Yin-Yang Realm level, though only a few realms remain, he didn't know how long it would take to reach that point.
And then, the encounter at Miaojiang Ancient Village with the rear shaman, who said there was something else left for him to do. What could it be?
The shocking scene at the Ancient Village was something Feng couldn't forget; the rear shaman, under the giant sun, was filled with mystery. Now thinking about it, even at Yin-Yang Realm, he couldn't necessarily see through him.
The rear shaman's power was also unfathomable.
Feng's mind was filled with thoughts, and at that moment, when he glanced casually ahead, he spotted a familiar face.
