"In that era, everything could not be measured by our current common sense."
"Isn't that impossible?" a master said with a frown.
"Impossible? What's impossible? During the European Middle Ages and Huaxia Tang Dynasty, would they have discovered that their location was just a planet Earth? Would they have realized there are countless stars and planets in the universe? The Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy; could such concepts have existed then?"
"Don't let your preconceived experiences hinder your judgment. Often, no one is truly certain what these worlds hold, like the Ancient Era," Elder Mu Han continued, "I've even found records in relic lands indicating that Earth during the Ancient Era was much larger than now, and people even traversed the starry skies then."
Everyone remained silent as Ren Feng, having been exposed to such ideas before, still felt shock each time.
"Another possibility, Elder, are you suggesting it's consciousness?" Ren Feng asked.
"Exactly, it's possible the scene is an imprint left by an expert's consciousness. Its vividness makes it persist in memory, leading to a recreation of the scene. In scientific terms, this could be called mental solidification."
"Achieving such a feat indicates the expert's power has reached terrifying levels, far beyond our imagination."
A nearby master spoke: "Since these are all illusions, let's explore them first."
The others also reacted, realizing they were here for more Magical Artifacts, alchemical pills, or Cultivation Techniques, not to investigate matters of the Ancient Era, which had nothing to do with them.
"Separate and explore, notify others if something happens."
Elder Mu Han communicated telepathically.
Ren Feng nodded and looked at the long table with over a dozen seated people, heading there with Long Yue beside him, along with a dozen other experts.
Sima Nan's gaze swept to see masters practicing Swordsmanship under several peach trees, and, lighting up, he walked over.
Half of those in the Sword Tower followed Sima Nan, while the other half entered the building.
Elder Mu Han, Long Su, and several Dragon Domain experts also entered the building to begin exploring.
Meanwhile, other masters rushed into the building, fearing others had already taken valuable items; some followed the people formed by illusions, hoping to gain something.
The courtyard became increasingly lively.
Sima Nan stood beside the man, watching his Swordsmanship practice, while other Sword Tower members did the same.
"Watch carefully, I think his sword technique is extraordinary. I hope we can learn something from it and strengthen our Sword Tower," Sima Nan focused intently on the man in the blue robe.
"Yes."
Countless peach blossoms fell, yet the trees still retained their flowers intact. The falling petals and those piled on the ground were all illusions.
The master wielded his sword, thrusting it forward while muttering, "Taohua Village holds Taohua Temple, Taohua Temple houses Peach Blossom Immortal."
Next moment, the man in the blue robe tapped his foot, and his Sword Intent transformed into a dragon, striking in another direction.
"Peach Blossom Immortal grows peach trees, plucks blossoms to buy wine."
In an instant, with his sword strike, all the falling peach blossoms split in half!
Sima Nan and others had their pupils shrink; this sword move was terrifying!
No Sword Qi was evident, yet the Sword Intent was unbelievably frightening!
The man continued with his sword practice, the technique became more exquisite as he spun.
"Sober, I sit before flowers; drunk, I sleep beneath them; half awake, half drunk, day after day; flowers fall, flowers bloom, year after year."
The sword speed increased, and soon even Sima Nan and others could not see the figure, only the sword shadows.
The sword reached its pinnacle, with no Sword Qi, just pure technique. They didn't imagine sword moves could be this terrifying!
"I'd rather grow old among flowers and wine, than bow before the rich; carriage dust and horse's hooves, the wealthy find delight; wine cup and flower branch, the poor find fate.
If rich and poor are compared, one on earth, one in the sky; if poor and rich compared with carriage and horse, they rush, I find leisure."
Speed increased further, half the sky filled with sword shadows.
"His speed is astounding!"
Sima Nan gasped, as countless peach blossoms descended and split in half, none spared!
"Others mock my madness, I laugh at them failing to see."
The man's sword move suddenly halted, a swift turn with the blade aimed directly at Sima Nan's throat!
For a brief moment, Sima Nan felt a deathly aura enveloping him, the sword tip at his neck.
His forehead felt cold as if sweating, though knowing it was an illusion, the feeling was intensely real.
However, the man continued his sword practice, abruptly retreating the sword, creating a sword flourish.
"No flowers, no wine, no famous tombs, only fields to till."
With the sword withdrawn, a hand gesture summoned a cup of wine from a maiden. She scowled as the man in blue laughed wildly, drinking heartily. Meanwhile, Sima Nan seemed deep in thought, feeling his sword techniques opened a new door.
Elsewhere in the building, Elder Mu Han discovered two people playing chess, the Go board covered in black and white stones.
Are they playing Go?
Sima Nan observed closely, while other Dragon Domain experts searched the hall for usable Magical Artifacts.
Not far, Ren Feng and Long Yue stood beside the long table; it wasn't fully occupied, some seats were empty.
"Should we sit down?"
Long Yue asked softly.
Ren Feng gently shook his head, "Let's observe first, there might be danger."
He felt something eerie about this relic site; even if it's an expert's consciousness, doors shouldn't open themselves, right?
And although these scenes were illusions, they appeared remarkably lifelike, causing a bad feeling.
Something was wrong that was hard to pinpoint, yet felt strange and precarious.
However, another master approached an empty seat, examined the items on the table, and promptly sat down.
