On the ring, Moon waited patiently... he was too tired to move and found that peace-enjoying side of himself finally returning after these tough hours.

He heard a notification interrupting his well-earned rest.

At first, he didn’t feel like checking it, but on second thought... maybe he should.

His eyelids had gotten even more swollen and heavy. He needed some effort to force them open after a short struggle.

He expected the end of the round had finally come, but it hadn’t... He found himself looking at something new and unexpected in his current situation.

[Your Stamina Has Increased By 1]

"Right, of course it did," he mocked before closing his eyes again.

Little did he know, there were a few more eager for this to end... Uon, for example, was waiting to move these bod- contestants to the medical ward...

A few of them were groaning in pain for a while too. They needed treatment.

"Our boss, ugggh, he really doesn’t hold back." Barrett said.

Not far from where he was lying, Kase was in a similar condition. "It’s like everything we were taught about hand combat is useless."

Basil replied, "Yeah, boss is saying formal training is for pussies."

A few cackled at his words. Not much of a grudge was held after everything they did to win, and most of them managed to land a hit as well, making it less bitter to bear.

Still, they lost.

"I was luckier than I thought." Roran said, hinting at the time he almost fought Moon alone, only for Dorbish to mediate the situation. He wanted to shake his head, but his neck was damaged too badly and fixed on the ground, so he couldn’t move it. He waited for anyone to answer, but not a single soul did.

Liam said suggestively, "Should we make a trip to the first floor, maybe training ther-"

Abshi cut him off. "There is only life or death on the first floor, no training." He informed the ignorant younger knight, but his words didn’t just affect Liam, but everyone present.

It was a major difference between everyone and those who came from the first floor. Those of the first floor survived and made it to the trial zone, unlike most of them who had never been on a real battlefield.

They trained and made it to the trial zone, setting apart Moon, who was like a wild plant that survived everything and kept on living. Compared to him, they were closer to greenhouse plants grown with almost excessive care to thrive.

While everyone was in silence, the notification they were all waiting for finally came. The skirmish ring’s first round had finally come to an end, and a lone name was set as the winner.

Uon finally stood up, feeling liberated from his over four hours of work, only to have more work to do sadly. "Moon, should I take you to the medical ward?" he offered, calling for Moon, who was still lying on the ring with closed eyes.

Moon heard him. He opened his eyes and looked at the spectators before shaking his head and pushing the ground with both elbows, trying to sit up. "No, I need to get somewhere first."

Someone entered the ring, approached him, extending a hand for help, but his eyes were too swollen and with his head leaning forward, he couldn’t see anything.

Embarrassed, the hand was retracted. Unaware of all of this, once he managed to stand back up while avoiding his potato foot, he looked ahead to see an unfamiliar face in front of him.

"Um, do you need help walking around?" Nola asked, her face full of concern.

Moon looked at her for a moment. "Who are you?" he asked. He didn’t find the face or the voice familiar, and he wasn’t in a suitable state to be amazed by female humans.

"Um, you... um... helped me." She stuttered, unable to explain properly.

Moon was confused. He wanted to raise his eyebrows, but he couldn’t feel where they were until Lexie stepped forward. "Congratulations, your fight was awesome," she said excitedly.

Moon was conflicted. He was never offered such words in his life. He stayed silent, thinking of how to answer.

Lexie placed her hand on Nola’s shoulder. "A few days ago, my aid was hurt badly by someone who was called Dave." Nola lowered her head. "Thank you for saving her." Lexie gave her gratitude.

Moon narrowed his eyes further, making them seem fully closed. "Ah, you are from back then?" He looked at Nola in surprise.

She nodded. "Thank you."

Moon scratched his head. "Your face was a mess, I couldn’t recognize you. My face is a mess this time, look at how the tables have turned." He laughed.

Nola didn’t know how to react to this. It was a rather unusual thing to hear in that situation, but she still couldn’t help smiling.

Lexie understood. She squeezed Nola’s shoulder lightly in assurance. "We came to offer help, considering your injuries," she explained.

"It’s fine, been worse." He said nonchalantly before starting to hop on one foot, leaving the ring, Nola, and Lexie behind.

Lexie pursed her lips. "Been worse?" She raised a brow while watching him leave.

Nola, on the other hand, was conflicted. He didn’t look okay, nor did he sound okay, but he said he was and walked away in a way that definitely didn’t seem okay.

She turned her head to Lexie. "Will he be okay?"

Lexie raised her shoulders. "I suppose?"

Ed, who had almost finished preparing breakfast, heard the door

open, knowing too damn well who was dragging his foot across the facility all the way here once the quest was over.

Ed gave Moon a long look. "Are you that hungry? Shouldn’t you get treated first?" he asked.

Moon shook his head. "Not hungry, this is my second win." he said flatly.

Ed turned around and scratched his head. "Oh, is it?"

"It is!"

"And?"

"And my ass, the deal is sealed!" Moon replied displeased.

"Of course it is. Who do you think I am?" Ed said playfully.

"When?"

"Sit down fir-" He stopped talking suddenly, getting out of the kitchen area and walking toward Moon. "I don’t think I can have you sit down and eat like this."

"What are you ta- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

Ed lifted Moon onto his shoulder in an instant, and the world spun around him, his vision blurring for a second.

And when it returned, he was in his room in Hall 1.

"Wash up, your mouth is also full of blood." Ed said before adding, "Get it done fast. Get dressed as well, I’ll be waiting for you he-" He stopped mid-speech again when his eyes fell on something.

"Oh my, that weasel doesn’t give up." Ed chuckled. "Someone might end up losing an arm at this rate."

Moon, who was gathering his sense of balance again, unsure what happened or how he got here, asked, nor where or who the weasel was, "What are you talking about?" He turned his head around only to see Ed holding the golden sword he threw there a few days ago.

"Oh, that... It fell off my quest window the other day."
