District 11.

Ye Qiyan walked along this commercial street covered in frost.

Wails and sobs echoed throughout the space.

He sent Lisette and the others to clear out all the Frost Zombies in this district.

He stood at a high point, his gaze fixed on the distance, on that massive structure.

[Hanging Gardens Prison]

Beep beep—

The system interface materialized.

Ye Qiyan looked at the name [Gong Feiyu] in his Friends List, pondering slightly.

Minister Chai Ming of the Judgement Department hoped to consolidate the forces of the Train Conductors currently within the Hanging Gardens who were still on the same side, in order to launch a counterattack against the Hanging Gardens Prison inmates and the rebelling guilds.

He agreed.

The reason was simple.

Ye Qiyan's target was the Demon Card.

That Demon Card was in Warden Marcus's possession.

To kill him, one must first get close. If he could blend in with some other Train Conductors, it would be easier to find an opportunity.

"The location is... District Nine? Not too far from the prison."

After Lisette and Eve cleared all the Frost Zombies in District Eleven and returned to his side, they immediately headed for the gathering point in District Nine.

When he arrived, aside from Gong Feiyu and her squad, there were only a handful of people not wearing Judgement Department uniforms.

Clearly, like Ye Qiyan, they were independent Train Conductors.

"Altos!"

The group's attention turned to Ye Qiyan, or rather, Altos.

Altos, that's right, this was the name Ye Qiyan had given Gong Feiyu.

"Whew, I knew you should be fine. Whew, if you had also joined Abukado, I'd have had to kill you. Good, good."

Gong Feiyu patted her chest, her face full of relief.

She seemed to possess an extremely strong confidence in her own strength.

"What's the current situation? I saw fighting in many places along the way, and it shows no sign of stopping. That Warden Marcus... where is he?"

"Marcus? Ah, that's not a problem for us to consider. The Minister will personally deal with that guy. Here, for you."

Gong Feiyu took out a cloth bag and handed it to Ye Qiyan.

"The Judgement Department won't make you work for free. This contains 200 Train Coins. It's not a lot, but consider it compensation for consumables. The Boss said we don't expect everyone to go on a killing spree, just to prevent the prison inmates from targeting ordinary Train Conductors."

Among the few people besides Ye Qiyan was a young man wearing headphones.

He yawned, casually scanned the people present, and curled his lip.

"Hey, hurry up and assign a task. I didn't come here to listen to you chatter. If I could find those inmates' locations myself, I would have already slaughtered my way through, okay?"

The young man took off his headphones and hung them around his neck.

From the crackling, low-quality audio came an indignant voice.

"Don't rush, I'll tell you now."

The Judgement Department had already pinpointed the locations of all the current prison inmates across the various districts of the Hanging Gardens.

Ye Qiyan chose one closest to the Hanging Gardens Prison.

The inmate he selected wasn't particularly strong. If Eve activated Overdrive Star and used the Eternal Cutter, it would only take a few attacks to kill him.

But Ye Qiyan didn't do that.

He gave the order for Eve to engage in a protracted fight using her ordinary mode.

He himself stayed with Lisette among the squad dispatched by the Judgement Department to follow him, waiting for an opportunity.

As the Judgement Department's orders were issued one after another.

The chaotic situation caused by the surprise attack gradually began to stabilize under these overly precise commands.

High-level, capable Train Conductors either accepted the Judgement Department's invitation or chose to side with Abukado.

Coupled with the fact that the rebelling guilds were being blocked by the remaining guilds that still hadn't joined Abukado.

This war had strangely reached a balance that could be described as eerie.

It was as if an invisible hand was manipulating everything.

Until...

["Damn it! Emperor's Order! You bunch of lunatics! Get away from me!"]

On the glaring red light screen in the sky, a chibi-style skull let out a painful wail.

["Bastard, bastard, bastard! I'll kill you!"]

["No, brother! Save me, save me!"]

Beep beep—

Ye Qiyan heard the notification sound by his ear.

Looking at a message Shaya sent in his Friends List, he couldn't help but click his tongue.

["Abukado's hacker is dead. But this guy was quite sneaky. Even if he dies, the game won't end. Also, their organization isn't all weaklings."]

Higher up in the virtual sky.

Shaya's Dark Night Angel train traveled through this already breached area.

She stood on the roof of the train, surrounded by nine angels of various forms hovering on either side of the train.

In front of her, a man, looking as if he'd swallowed a fly, held a corpse charred to a crisp, his face full of anguish.

"Angels of the Emperor's Order! We of Abukado have no feud with you! Why kill our people!"

Shaya moved the chat window aside, her pretty face filled with confusion.

"Don't you think that sounds strange? Abukado's plan has already killed many people in the Hanging Gardens. Having done such a thing, why do you lack the resolve to be killed?"

The man placed the corpse to the side.

"Those who die are the weak. The weak deserve to die. Rather than stagnating and clinging to life in these cities one by one, it's better they become nourishment for our Abukado."

"Abukado is liberating them from their useless lives!"

Shaya chuckled softly, her eyes brimming with disdain.

"Oh, then you're pretty weak too. And the guy just now, also very weak. You dying would also count as liberation, right?"

"You go too far! Do you of the Emperor's Order really think possessing a Card Sequence makes you invincible under heaven?! The powerful forces in the Wasteland are not limited to Card Sequences alone!"

The man was furious.

Behind him, six different long spears burst forth from his body.

Purple-black light patterns surfaced on all his skin.

He pulled out one and gripped it in his hand, letting out a loud shout.

Everything around them transformed in an instant into a vast, heroic battlefield.

"You have been sealed in the Wasteland's time for fifteen years. Such a long period means this is no longer the era when you were invincible. I, Tu Feibai, the spearhead of Abukado, request a lesson from the Angel."

His aura continuously climbed, as if without limit.

The sounds of battle constantly rang out across the battlefield, stirring the blood.

However, all of this, in Shaya's eyes, only made an excited expression appear on her face.

"You're right, it's not fifteen years ago anymore, but~."

All nine angels flew to either side of her body.

[Angel Card·Inscribe Holiness]

The angels transformed into Holy Light, forming eight wingless wings behind her back.

Only the Holy War angel transformed into a pair of holy, gigantic gauntlets, becoming Shaya's weapon.

"Then~ let's begin. Let me see what Train Conductors have become fifteen years later."
