Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!
Chapter 443: The Thirty-Seventh Station - 【Human·Wolf·Village】It appeared, a Level 9 station.
"Mystery-Solving Station..."
Ye Qiyan looked at the name on the Light Screen and pondered briefly.
To be honest, if the first option had also been a Level 9 station, he would most likely have chosen the first one.
Mystery-Solving—these two words looked troublesome just by themselves.
Previously, when encountering similar Station Worlds, Ye Qiyan often made a different choice.
"At least it's the first Level 9 Station World. Fine, trying a new type occasionally isn't bad either."
"I choose Station Two."
"Human·Wolf·Village."
【Please sit tight and hold on.】
【The Train is about to arrive at your thirty-seventh station: Human·Wolf·Village】
Rumble, rumble...
Passing through the void.
When the scenery outside the train window changed.
When the train's speed decreased and its whistle sounded.
His Train had arrived at a Level 9 Station World for the first time.
【Ding ding ding—!】
【Entering Station World: Human·Wolf·Village】
【This Station: ?】
【This station is an Advanced Station with no time limit for stopping】
【Current departure method: Complete this station's objective (Not completed)】
A strange arrival message.
The danger level that normally appeared clearly for every station had turned into a question mark here.
"The departure method isn't spending Train Coins either, but must complete an objective? The objective... is solving the mystery, then?"
This station's peculiarities didn't end there.
On the Sand Table inside the carriage, the coordinates for dangerous units that should have appeared were completely empty.
No map, no coordinates, nothing at all...
"Giving me a surprise right after entering the station, this is interesting."
A flicker of excitement rose within Ye Qiyan's heart. An adventure under such unknown circumstances was a true adventure.
"WALL-E, I'll have to rely on you again. No need for many words, stay safe."
He bent down and gently stroked WALL-E, who had scampered to his calf after entering the station.
WALL-E waved its small Mechanical Claw, also embarking on its own search journey, which equally signified that Ye Qiyan's station conquest had officially begun.
When WALL-E's figure completely disappeared, Ye Qiyan took a deep breath, adjusted his mood, and began observing the surrounding environment through the train window.
This was a very dilapidated wooden platform. In front of the locomotive section, a pitch-black tunnel could be seen, devoid of any light even in the daytime.
It seemed as if pairs of eyes were staring from within that darkness.
To the left, towering cliffs loomed, violet-blue stone walls reaching straight to the sky, endless to the eye.
Above, the sky blazed with a scorching sun, yet it didn't allow anyone to feel any warmth.
The light cast by the sun here was a cold hue.
And to the right.
Ye Qiyan saw a village, utterly ordinary.
A Level 9 station, a village?
"Higher-level stations don't necessarily represent a complete world? No... I shouldn't jump to conclusions. Perhaps this village itself is the complete Station World."
After pondering for a moment, he couldn't figure it out anyway. After all, no matter what happened or appeared within the Wasteland, it wasn't worth being surprised about.
"Human, Wolf, Village... The names displayed on the system broadcast and the Fate Fork both have deliberate separations. How strange..."
"Human, Wolf..."
He softly muttered the station's name. Suddenly, Eve on the train roof sounded an alarm.
A glaring red halo materialized at the entrance of this wooden station. With a single command from Ye Qiyan, it would blast the locked target into pieces.
Ye Qiyan looked up.
The locked target was actually a human.
A robust-looking man in his thirties, dressed plainly.
It seemed he was from the village.
Not only that.
Behind this man, several other men and women, holding items like kitchen knives and rolling pins, dressed in various clothes, were hiding further back.
They were also locked on by Eve.
No matter how they tried to dodge, the halo at their feet firmly followed.
"Mystery-Solving~ huh."
Pressing the door-opening button.
The carriage door opened, and Ye Qiyan stepped onto the platform that emitted a faint smell of rotting wood.
With each step forward he took, those men and women would take a step back until they had no more room to retreat. The leading robust man was directly pushed out by the others.
"You, y-y-you, who... are you? Why have you come to our village?"
No identity?
These people seemed unaware of the existence of Train Conductors and the Wasteland.
A gentle smile appeared on Ye Qiyan's face.
He raised his hand slightly, and Eve on the roof immediately released the lock.
"I am merely a traveler who happened to pass by here. My name is Ye Qiyan. I just happened to pass through and happened to discover this village. So, I wish to rest here for a while before continuing my journey."
"I wonder if you all would be willing?"
Traveler was the simplest and easiest identity to believe when there was no additional information.
The leading robust man turned his head to look at the men and women behind him, stole another glance at Ye Qiyan's Train, hesitated for a moment, and put down the wooden club he was holding.
"A traveler? Then, welcome. I am Warren, the village chief of Renlang Village. The people behind me are residents of the village."
Renlang Village?
Ye Qiyan's eyebrow raised slightly.
The villagers following Chief Warren didn't seem very keen on watching the commotion. When Warren wanted to introduce them, they all chose to leave.
Only one young man wearing a Scottish kilt and a beret remained, carrying a small bag, looking around curiously behind Warren, seemingly very interested in the Train.
"Why did everyone leave? Sorry, the people in the village aren't very interested in outsiders from the outside world.
Oh, there's still one left here. Jace, stop looking, go run your errands!"
Jace, the errand runner of Renlang Village.
Responsible for delivering letters and items between the residents of the village.
He chuckled a few times, stole another look at Ye Qiyan's Train, and also ran out of the wooden station.
Village Chief Warren led Ye Qiyan to the only inn in the village.
The inn's proprietress was one of the two women from earlier at the wooden station, named Nishiki Ori.
"Young man, you can stay here tonight. Renlang Village doesn't have anything particularly special. If you want to tour around the village tomorrow, I'll have Jace show you around."
Everything, proceeding step by step.
Everything, utterly ordinary.
This place was so ordinary it completely didn't feel like a Level 9 station.
It felt more like those completely non-dangerous ordinary Station Worlds one would enter during the novice period.
"Human·Wolf·Village, Renlang Village~"
"The first secret that needs solving has appeared so quickly~"
A crisp snap of fingers echoed in the room.
The Demon Ravens appeared from the Death Omen.
"Go."
"Find them, the dead within this village."
"This time, no Screeching."
【Human·Wolf·Village】
If he wasn't mistaken.
This village~ would inevitably have dead people appear.
