Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!

Chapter 476: The Approaching Blood Arts Festival

"Where did he go?"

Shortly after Ye Qiyan vanished, the powerful figures who had come from all over the City of Eternal Night turned to the tailcoat-clad man whose face was full of disbelief, his lower half gone.

"Charles, don't you have your Shadow Realm that can seal space? How could someone escape directly? Besides, how did you end up like this?"

Charles, the tailcoat-wearing vampire, lowered his gaze to his missing lower body and grew even more horrified.

"How is this possible? I... I actually can't restore myself?! Damn it, how can this be! How did that human do it? I clearly used the Shadow Realm!"

He was on the verge of collapse.

Vampires can survive as long as their heart remains.

But losing the lower half of his body and being unable to regenerate was, for a male like him, worse than death.

"Damn, damn, damn! My body, my regenerative ability!? That human, who exactly is that human!?"

They cast their gazes toward the speaker.

A bounty notice was produced.

"No doubt about it. Mechanical Dragon, black hole attack, and there was a woman following him. Also... that man's body was saturated with malice... the demon's malice, the demon... controlled him..."

"Imperial Sequence? Could it be that their leader, Zhu Xingshu, discovered something and thus sent someone here to sabotage us?"

"Highly possible. This must be the Imperial Sequence leader's declaration of war against the City of Eternal Night. We need to strike back!"

"The day after tomorrow is the day for offering the Blood God's sacrificial essence. We cannot afford any more incidents. Do not forget the plan between the Progenitor and the Blood God. We must maintain the City of Eternal Night's security."

The monsters murmured among themselves.

But the true instigator of all this had already finished his voyage.

"The Pure Cleansing Stone's grade is still a bit too low. Even when layered with the power of Judgment, it can't outright kill a high-level vampire."

"Potential... still lacking."

Ye Qiyan placed the Pure Cleansing Stone back beside Mingming.

The tiny figure inside the pistil yawned and floated over to sit on Ye Qiyan's shoulder.

Mingming nuzzled his cheek affectionately, then pointed at the Pure Cleansing Stone with her little finger.

"Ring ring~"

"Are you saying... it can get stronger again soon?"

"Ting ting~~"

"Then I'll leave it to you."

Ye Qiyan rubbed Mingming's little face and put her back into the pistil.

He stepped out of the train again.

He released Lisette and The Hunt from the Armament Space.

"Two days left."

He used a key to open the door.

Once more he entered the office of the First Form Blood Fruit Company boss.

"What the—who the hell—ah?"

Jeffrey was startled.

The cup noodles on his desk nearly spilled.

"You scared me to death... So it's Mr. Altos. How are you here so fast... uh... could the light I saw outside just now be—?"

He was sharp; he immediately connected the strange phenomenon.

"Jeffrey, you have your own train too, right?"

Jeffrey hurriedly nodded.

"You want to use it? I'll—"

"You'll be the one to use it."

Ye Qiyan sat on the sofa, took the hot cocoa Lisette had conveniently made on the train, and blew on it.

"Here's a piece of advice: get out of this city early."

Jeffrey lowered his head.

"I... can't leave..."

"Why not?"

"I want to become human again. Ms. Menrojina said that after this is over, she'll help me revert to human..."

Once a race is altered it usually cannot revert to the original race.

This is written in the descriptions of the various race-changing items.

But there are always exceptions. If something says 'cannot,' there might still be a special artifact, or some power within Menrojina's ritual cards, that can restore one's original species.

Ye Qiyan did not try to persuade him. He glanced at the instant noodles on Jeffrey's desk.

"You eat this?"

For a company boss—even a puppet boss—he shouldn't be reduced to instant noodles.

Jeffrey gave an awkward smile.

"As a vampire, I can't eat cooked food. Normal human food makes me vomit. I can only... smell it..."

————

During the following two days, Ye Qiyan was far from idle.

Using Arrogance and Bewitchment, every day he would flag down a driverless monster taxi and head to the entertainment district, the area he had partially destroyed.

He would have The Hunt deploy a Transcend Warhead, then, while the City of Eternal Night's pursuing powerhouses raged in impotence, use the Anchor's navigation to withdraw immediately.

With his current spirit, he didn't need to use physical strength to sustain the Transcend Warhead's consumption for a second, plus his tremendous recovery speed.

Two launches a day, trivial.

Those strong figures seemed to try many countermeasures: restricting space, setting protections, even sealing off the entertainment district and personally blocking the entrance.

But one very interesting detail was this:

Ye Qiyan had left a Justice Mark on that vampire named Charles, who had lost half his body.

Through the Justice Mark, he could precisely locate where those guys were.

Whether they tried to evade or search, those monsters couldn't understand why their every action felt as if the Demon Mech-Dragon had premonitions of them.

Until the third day.

Blood Arts Festival.

Bang—!

"What the hell are you all doing?! A whole group of you can't catch a single human who lives in the City of Eternal Night?"

"Do werewolves' noses stop working?! Or did vampires lose their sense of detection?!"

Prince of the vampires, Alfred.

He demanded answers from the top train conductors sitting to his sides, who all bowed their heads in silence, and finally fixed his gaze on Charles, whose lower half remained missing.

Charles felt the prince's wrathful stare and steeled himself to explain.

"Prince, that human is the Imperial Sequence's Demon Mech-Dragon. According to the records, he possesses a Demon Card called Arrogance. We simply cannot determine his location. Also, this human named Altos used some method to bypass the space blockade and teleport away.

We used many items, even some modules and system privileges, but none could handle his ability, so..."

"So you let the City of Eternal Night see the sun again and again? A bunch of trash!"

Alfred exploded with anger.

He strode to the floor-to-ceiling window and stared at the crimson colors outside.

"Although the means to deal with Card Sequence holders, and most of the strong fighters in the city, were taken away by Castanien, the City of Eternal Night still rests on us.

But today is the Blood Arts Festival. Under no circumstances can that human be allowed to cause more destruction!

I don't care what methods you use. The Blood God's Pavilion—only there—must not suffer any mistakes!"
