Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!
Chapter 644: The Proud Elf PrincessLisette’s gentle words made Seles and the other elves stop in place.
The younger-looking elf scowled first, and with an unmistakable tone of arrogance she said, “Hey, human, tell your slave to move. Honestly, what a hassle. We’re getting on the train—take us to the Four Sacred Temples, now.”
Seles across from Ye Qiyan opened her mouth, about to stop that elven girl from speaking in such an ordering, haughty tone.
But a glance from another male elf pressured her to bow her head, and she could only say to Ye Qiyan, “Mighty Hero, this is the royal family’s Seventh Princess. Please allow us to board the train and head to the Four Sacred Temples as soon as possible, so that…”
Before Seles finished speaking,
Ye Qiyan had already stepped in front of the elven girl.
“Hey, human, what do you think you’re doing?! Stay away from me. I hate the smell of humans!”
The elven princess frowned.
The adult elves beside her shot displeased looks at him.
“You want to board the train?”
“Of course. Human, I am a noble elf. Do you expect me to walk over there? Hurry up, don’t waste my time. It’s an honor you were summoned by me. Tch, your slave actually dared to stop me—go teach her a lesson, stop dawdling… uh!”
Her sentence never finished.
Because behind the elves,
a massive shadow eclipsed the train’s lights.
Rumble—!
“Kaa! Kaa!”
A piercing cry rang out.
Lightning streaked across the sky!
The elves trembled and turned around,
and saw a sight they would never forget.
A demon.
A giant demon with a black bird’s head and black wings.
Perched on the demon’s shoulder, a raven stared at them with a mocking look.
The cry had come from its mouth.
“Although Lisette is indeed my maid…”
Ye Qiyan smiled as he edged closer to the elven girl.
The elves blocking his path were casually grabbed by the raven demon, their heads tossed aside with no regard for life or death, clearing a path for its master.
The elven princess collapsed to the ground in terror, her once-dirty white dress now thoroughly stained by the muddy earth.
The filth somehow suited her.
“W-what do you want to do! You were summoned by me, Hero! I summoned you!”
Ye Qiyan stamped on the elven princess’s leg, the smile on his face fading and replaced by cold indifference.
“Oh.”
He bent down, gripped the princess by the throat, and lifted her into the air.
“Uh! Uh!”
The elven princess struggled desperately to reach the ground, her feet kicking wildly.
Smack!
A crisp slap landed across her face.
“S-sorry… sorry… I was wrong, please spare me, spare me!”
Terrified, the elven princess’s pride meant nothing now.
Her so-called status and rank were useless in the face of possible death.
Choked by Ye Qiyan’s grip, she could only beg in broken, gasping words.
The elves who had been around her all scattered as far as possible.
Only Seles, the elven archer, bit her lip and stepped forward toward Ye Qiyan.
“H-hero…”
“Hm?”
Ye Qiyan glanced at her.
He felt the raw, unadorned malice—no pretense—emanating from her.
Seles wondered if this Seventh Princess had summoned the wrong person.
Wasn’t it said that if you gave those special coins to a Hero, they would do anything you wanted?
This one didn’t look like that kind of Hero at all.
Hero?
No.
Seles thought it would be more fitting to call him a Demon Lord.
“T-the Seventh Princess knows she was wrong. Please, have mercy and spare her.”
She bowed deeply, unable to imagine what fate would befall her if she angered him.
But as a warrior—even a commoner blessed with unusual power who couldn’t become a Seer—she still wanted to fulfill her duty.
“Heh.”
Ye Qiyan let out a light laugh.
He swept his gaze over the elves, who cowered like turtles, and finally fixed his eyes on the face of the elven princess, whose throat he still gripped as she nearly suffocated.
“Interesting.”
With a casual toss, he flung the elven Seventh Princess into the mud.
He drew his blade.
Moon Veil slid from its sheath.
The blade descended and pierced the princess’s abdomen.
“Ah!!”
The Seventh Princess nearly fainted from the pain.
But then she heard a voice she couldn’t refuse.
“Want to live?”
“Yes…”
A deathly pale light shone over the ground.
When the elven Seventh Princess opened her eyes and found her wounds miraculously healed, and looked at the human standing before her,
she thought she must have been dreaming.
“I… ugh!!”
The moment she had that thought, the pain and suffocation of reality rushed back.
She remembered everything that had happened and, weeping and sobbing, knelt before Ye Qiyan and buried her head in the mud.
“Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Please forgive me. I didn’t mean to humiliate your slave—no, your companion. I was wrong! Please spare me!”
Ye Qiyan handed Moon Veil back to Lisette.
The maid gently wiped the few dirty specks of blood from the blade with a handkerchief.
Ye Qiyan boarded the train and glanced at Seles, who watched curiously with a hint of admiration. He smiled with quiet amusement.
“Where are the Four Sacred Temples located?”
“Ah—no, it’s not far. I’ll give you a map right now.”
Seles hurried over and held up a map with both hands.
“You can go on your own.”
He boarded the train.
The demon raven soared high, circling in the sky and looking down at the remaining elves with a derisive expression.
[Module: Station Startup]
The drill bit at the front of the train engaged.
The tracks extended, the train started.
Ye Qiyan left immediately, heading for the place called the Four Sacred Temples.
Inside the train, Lisette handed the cleaned Moon Veil back to him.
“Leave them?”
Ye Qiyan patted Lisette’s head.
“The raven is still there. That princess and Seles might be somewhat useful. As for the others—who knows? Leave them to the raven to deal with.”
“Master, thank you. I am a slave, so it’s fine~”
“Whether there’s a problem is for me to decide, not others.”
“Mm!”
That so-called elven princess, Ye Qiyan thought, had no idea why she was so proud. If he hadn’t thought of something mildly entertaining, she wouldn’t have deserved to live.
“Sigh, being the bad guy suits me better. But since they all call me Hero, I might as well put on a little show.”
Ye Qiyan withdrew his hand.
Goblins, elves—no matter the race,
those who were troublesome or disgusting,
he wouldn’t choose to be a turtle and endure.
After all, didn’t getting stronger mean being free?
If he still hesitated after growing stronger, what had all that power been for?
“Speaking of which, I almost forgot to check how dangerous this station is.”
The System heard his words and re-displayed an interface Ye Qiyan had seen earlier but hadn’t paid attention to.
