Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!

Chapter 762: The First Arena of Cloud Moon City

The massive platform was empty.

On the tracks that could hold hundreds of trains at once, the station fell into complete silence as Ye Qiyan drew his train into the Matrix space. Once again, the station returned to absolute stillness.

Emilie guided Ye Qiyan to a golden gate easily a hundred meters tall, its surface engraved with ornate symbols. In the center of the great gate, a face full of pity slowly opened its eyes.

Its gaze dropped, sweeping over Ye Qiyan and Emilie.

It opened its mouth and emitted a sound as resonant as a bell on a mountain peak.

“Welcome, traveler from afar, to the Lunar Heart Arena.”

“This is the Engraving Realm.”

“Proceed to Yun-Yue City.”

“Please obey the rules. Within Yun-Yue City, you must conduct your conflicts there. If discovered, your consecutive wins will be reduced.”

“If a conflict occurs, participants may choose a life-or-death duel. The soul of the deceased will belong to the great Nether Flower, Lady Eris.”

“Guide Emilie, fortunate one, you are the only mid-level Guide to possess a name. From now on, you will take over. Information access—”

A golden light touched Emilie’s forehead.

Her mind immediately received a flood of information.

Ahead, the great gate unfolded.

The face split from the center.

The mouth offered one final phrase.

“Welcome, esteemed Blasphemer.”

The voice faded. Beyond the gate, what lay before them was exactly the sight Ye Qiyan had perceived through Arrogance’s vantage.

Different races living in harmony, different lives coexisting here.

“Blasphemer, huh.”

Ye Qiyan chuckled quietly in his mind.

He had used the Blasphemy Card in a Stellar Core-level arena before, a relic possibly as precious as anything out on the Wasteland. Drawing attention was only natural. In fact, he found it believable when they said information would be hidden. But as the face on the gate had stated, the rules included, “If discovered...”

So, what if one did not get discovered?

Rules are always something to be leveraged, broken, or even altered. The Train System itself was no exception.

“Mr. Ye Qiyan, welcome to Yun-Yue City.”

Emilie finished processing the information in her mind, took two respectful steps forward, bowed politely, and presented a welcoming gesture.

“A five-word title is somewhat troublesome.”

“Then... may I call you Boss? I am your Guide. I may need favors from you, but most importantly, you chose me, you employed me.”

Boss.

He thought he had never been called that before. It sounded... not bad.

“All right.”

Ye Qiyan stepped through the towering golden gate and entered the city named Yun-Yue. People in the city cast curious glances their way. After all, it had been some time since anyone had emerged from this golden station gate reserved for Wasteland travelers and human Train Conductors.

“Boss, I’ll take you to your lodgings first. Don’t worry. Although you have to spend Train Coins here, you helped me recover my name, so I’ll cover your expenses entirely! Please don’t despise me, I only have less than sixty Train Coins on hand, which is nothing to you...”

Emilie bowed her head slightly and did not notice Ye Qiyan shifting his eyes to the side.

Train Coins? Sixty?

Hmm...

That isn’t much!

He actually had a lot of money! At least didn’t he still have over a thousand Train Coins in the upgrade option shop?

But getting it for free was still good! No, this was not freeloading—this was a fair trade!

Ye Qiyan reassured himself internally. His expression hardly changed. He cleared his throat and nodded.

“All right, then I’ll leave it to you, Ms. Emilie.”

“Okay, please wait. I’ll rent the magic-propulsion vehicle you’ll need while you’re here.”

Emilie happily dashed toward a nearby shop.

Ye Qiyan stayed where he was, watching her back, thoughtful.

“After getting a name, she’s completely different from when she was that cold thing before.”

“A name is very important, Master.”

Lisette said softly.

“Hmm... true.”

Come to think of it, a name was indeed important in the Wasteland. Whether for Lisette or Eve or the others, after being created, the one thing they wanted most was a name.

“Whew... whew... Boss! It’s rented!”

Emilie piloted a magitech hovercar, drifting to a perfect sideways stop in front of Ye Qiyan with practiced ease.

“Please get in. I’ll take you and your companions to the site of the first Trial. Please be fully prepared!”

“All right.”

Ye Qiyan sat in the spacious rear seat. He took Red Tears’ hand, pulling the stunned Demon Girl into the car, then looked toward Lisette, who stood in place with a faint blush appearing on her face.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing...”

“Then get in~”

Ye Qiyan smiled and grabbed the arm of the maid who belonged to him alone.

She wasn’t human, she was mechanical, a constructed presence. Yet Lisette’s emotion module warmed slightly.

Companions.

If...

Hmm...

“Yes! Master!”

The Demon Girl and the Mechanical Maid sat at Ye Qiyan’s sides, left and right.

Emilie glanced back through the rearview mirror, a little envious, and said, “Boss, they’re lucky to have met you. To travel freely with you must be so happy.”

“Don’t worry. You’ll gain your freedom sooner or later. After all, this is our bargain, right?”

Emilie smiled brightly.

“Right, a bargain. But sorry, that remaining half of the Divine Mechanism Gear is in the Corona-level arena, so...”

“I know. The Level 12 Corona arena. I’ll get there eventually.”

Ye Qiyan had never expected to obtain the complete gear at this stop. Their deal had always been to clear the Corona-level arena.

“But...”

Emilie hesitated suddenly while driving the hovercar.

“One of those mixed memories I just received mentioned a special method that might trigger an extra trial after twelve consecutive wins... maybe... no, please treat it as nonsense from me... ah, we’re almost there!”

The magitech vehicle moved fast, racing along a special aerial route reserved for Trial Participants.

Right in the center of Yun-Yue City rose an arena towering over all other buildings, flashing neon lights and sweeping searchlights. In the dark night it shone brilliantly. Cheers, shouting, pyrotechnics—an eruption of sound.

“This is the site of your first Trial. This is the place residents of Yun-Yue City most desire to enter!”

“This arena is called the First Platform.”

Listening to Emilie’s introduction, Ye Qiyan had only one thought: Nether King Eris truly seemed intent on creating another system like the Train System and the Wasteland. Her ambition was naked and vast.
