VIVIAN.

A maid entered carrying a tray of food.

She dropped it onto the table with a loud clatter. She didn’t greet Vivian.

Didn’t apologize for the loud sound. She simply turned around.

Vivian stared at her back.

"Hey."

The maid stopped. "What do you want?"

Vivian’s eyes narrowed. The maid was an unusual-looking beast-human. She had long rabbit-like ears, sharp teeth, and human legs. Her features were mostly human, but the animal traits were impossible to miss. She was an Orc.

Vivian slowly stood. The maid immediately backed away.

"Miss, I was only ordered to bring your food."

Vivian kept walking.nThe maid’s back eventually hit the door.

Vivian stopped in front of her.

She glanced down at the chain around her ankle.

It wasn’t a normal chain. An automated restraint system had been attached to it. Vivian could move freely inside the room, but the moment she tried to cross the doorway, the chain would activate and pull her back.

So they weren’t exactly keeping her locked to the bed.

They were simply making sure she couldn’t escape.

Vivian’s anger burned hotter.

"My father is alone because of you people."

She grabbed the maid by the throat and lifted her off the ground.

"How dare you treat me like this?"

The maid’s legs kicked helplessly.

"Do you know how angry I am?"

Vivian’s eyes became bloodshot. Her grip tightening around the maid’s neck.

"My father is somewhere waiting for me. Do you know what I can do to everyone in this mansion?"

Inside her consciousness, the Golden Lotus trembled.

"Eat her." Vivian froze. "Let me eat her. She is food."

The Lotus began pushing toward her palm.

Its tiny teeth appeared.

Then...

"WAIT!"

Beeny’s voice screamed inside Vivian’s head.

"Don’t kill her!"

Vivian’s fingers tightened.

"Why?"

"The chain!"

Beeny quickly explained, "If you kill someone inside this place, the restraint system will detect it! It’ll release an electric shock through your entire body. You could be seriously injured!"

Vivian’s eyes flickered.;She released the maid.

The Orc crashed onto the floor, coughing and trembling.

Vivian stood over her, breathing heavily. "Fine."

Beeny sighed. "Calm down, Vivian."

"I am calm."

"You’re literally shaking."

Vivian said nothing. Then Beeny suddenly appeared.

The maid’s eyes widened.

"W..what are you..Monster....you.."

Before she could scream, Beeny transformed into a tiny bee and flew directly into her forehead.

The maid’s body stiffened.nA few seconds passed.

Then she slowly stood.

"Hi.. I am Beeny..."

Vivian blinked. "...Beeny?"

The maid smiled. "It’s me!"

Vivian stared at her. "How did you do that?"

Beeny proudly placed her hands on her hips. "I entered her mind."

Vivian’s eyes widened. "And why didn’t you do this before? You allowed me to get kidnapped."

Beeny’s smile disappeared. "Because I wasn’t strong enough. And I told you it’s not my fault. It’s your fault you didn’t verify the Skycar was yours before entering. How would I know what your car looked like?"

Vivian sighed.."That’s an excuse for your weakness."

She tapped Vivian’s forehead. "Remember when I ate one of your Lotus petals? It gave me more strength."

She pointed at the maid’s body. "So I entered her consciousness and consumed her Beast Core."

Vivian’s expression changed. "You ate her Beast Core?"

"Yes."

Beeny smiled proudly. "Now I can control her body."

She suddenly began humming and walking around the room.

"This body is fun! So small and cute."

Vivian rubbed her forehead. "You really are a strange little creature."

"Thank you."

"That wasn’t a compliment."

"I’ll take it anyway."

Vivian sighed. Then she looked toward the communicator. "Can you call for help?"

Beeny immediately checked it.

Her expression changed.

"No."

"Why?"

"It’s restricted."

Vivian frowned.

"This communicator can only contact people within the Astronova mansion."

"Exactly."

Vivian clenched her fist. "Then what do we do?"

Beeny grinned. "I have another idea."

She stepped out of the maid’s body. The maid immediately collapsed.

Vivian stared.

"Did you kill her?"

"No!"

Beeny flew toward the communicator. "I temporarily shut down her consciousness."

She entered the communicator device. A moment later, she emerged with several tiny wires hanging from her mouth.

"Done!"

Vivian stared.

"How did you even do that?"

Beeny puffed out her chest. "Just remember one thing."

"What?"

"I am your most important asset."

Vivian couldn’t help smiling. Her anger had reduced. "I see that."

Beeny immediately returned to the maid’s body.

Vivian picked up the communicator.

She tried to remember Lucien’s number.

Nothing. She knew Aston’s. That was all.

She hesitated. What If he finds out am Vivian not Elena. But she was scared he was the only one she could call. She had ended things with Caelan so he is a No.

Then she closed her eyes and dial.

The call immediately connected like he was waiting.

"Aston?"

A familiar voice answered. "Vi...?" he paused.

She lowered her voice. "Hi... It’s Elena."

There was a pause. He didn’t reply.

"I called because I missed you."

Vivian nearly gagged at her own words.

"But right now, I need your help. I’m at..."

They heard footsteps. Beeny immediately grabbed the communicator and hid it.

Vivian threw herself onto the bed and pretended to be exhausted.

The door opened.

Elena entered. She looked at the maid. "You were told to bring her food. What took you so long?"

"Sorry, my....Princess. I wanted...to..."

Beeny suddenly stopped.

Elena’s eyes narrowed. "What did I tell you?"

Beeny looked confused. "I beg your pardon?"

"I told everyone in this mansion not to call me Princess. I don’t like the title.princess."

"Oh."

Beeny stared confused. She stared at Vivian..her eyes screaming help.me.

Vivian was also confused. "When did she tell them not to?" She was thinking of what to say.

ELENA asked the maid.."What is wrong with you?"

Beeny was almost crying. Possessing the maid was a bad idea. She winked at Vivian who also seemed confused and thinking of what to say.

Then Vivian broke the tension.. "Miss Saintess. What do you want here? When will you and your mother let me go?"

Beeny nodded quickly.

"Yes, Saintess."

Elena’s expression softened slightly. "Better."

Benny secretly glared toward Vivian. It’s all your fault! !

Elena turned toward Vivian. "Look at you."

Vivian slowly sat up. "What do you want?"

Elena’s expression hardened. "You’re still shameless."

Vivian rolled her eyes. "That’s not an answer."

"Because of you, people have been pointing fingers at Mother."

Elena stepped closer. "They’re calling her abusive. They’re saying she mistreated her own daughter. They’re laughing at our family because you chose an ordinary soldier over your royal mother."

Vivian’s fingers curled into fists. "So that’s what this is about? Isn’t that all news?"

"You embarrassed Mother."

"I see."

Elena’s eyes flashed. "You don’t deserve the life you’ve been given."

Vivian stared at her.

I really want to slap her.

But she didn’t know what killing Elena..or even seriously injuring her...would do to the plot.

So she swallowed her anger.

"Then tell me something."

"What?"

"Why did you kidnap me?"

Elena’s lips curved. "Don’t worry about your father coming to rescue you."

Vivian’s expression changed. "He can’t even save himself right now. Right now you need a guidant and the federation will push you back to mother’s hands."

Her heart tightened. "What are you on about? Why will I need a guidant when I have a father?"

Elena smiled. "You’ll find out soon enough."

Vivian stepped forward.

"What do you and your mother want from me?"

Before Elena could answer....A robotic voice echoed through the room.

"Lucien is here for Vivian."

Everyone froze. The robot repeated:

"Lucien is here for Vivian."

Elena released a relieved breath. "Thank Haxia."

She smiled. "He’s finally here to take this disaster away."

LATER

Vivian sat in the mansion’s garden. Several maids and robots surrounded her.

Her ankle restraint was still attached.

Then a robot approached.

Click. The chain unlocked.

Vivian slowly looked down to her legs. She was finally free.

She thought about what Elena said. She looked at Elena standing several meters away.

Then at the guards. Then at Emelianna’s mansion.

Something dark flashed through her eyes.The Golden Lotus stirred.

The Lotus exploded from her palm. This time two Lotus roots came out.

Its enormous roots shot across the garden.

BOOM! One root struck Elena.Her head was torn away. The Lotus’ other roots attacked the robots and the maids around.

Blue Blood rushed out of the maid orcs around. The robot’s metal bodies were destroyed by the Lotus.

Elena’s body collapsed. Her red blood rushed out like water from the detached body. The scene was bloody and messy.

"ELENA!"

Emelianna rushed into the garden with her guards.

Vivian’s Lotus turned. Another root shot forward.

THUD! It pierced straight through Emelianna’s chest. Her guards couldn’t block it. They ran for their own safety. While Vivian stood controlling the lotus. It burst out of Emelianna’s back. It was horrifying.

Blood splattered across the garden.

Princess Emelianna stared at Vivian in disbelief. Tears ripped out from her eyes. She stared at Vivian with fear in her eyes.

Vivian smiled. "Bringing me back was the biggest mistake in your entire life."
