Oh Jia and Oh Ryujin sat side by side as piping hot spicy noddles were served to both of them by a Cha Jihwan, who started cooking out of nervousness.

Jia looked down on those noodles with intense energy and turned to Ryujin.

"What is this?" She asked.

"Try them, mom. I cn guarantee the taste," Ryujin rose his thumb upward as he nodded with pride. "Jihwan’s noodles are the best."

The mother slurped in once and her eyes shone with a glint of excitement and explosion of flavours.

"Why have you left this man here yet? Drag him to our home, right this instant," Jia said as she too wolfed down the noodles.

"No, I can’t. You see I like him. So I’m trying to get on his good side," Ryujin wined.

"Hmph! Just lock him up. He’ll start liking you eventually when you’re the only thing he sees," the mother drank down the soup with light speed and pushed the bowl in front of Jihwan. "More."

Ryujin nudged at her arm and she said awkwardly.

"Please."

Cha Jihwan was very... astounded and scared to his feet and top.

The conversation between Ryujin and his ’too young looking’ mom was somewhat clearing up why Ryujin had a few screws lose in his head.

It was the mother!! His mother’s the one who fucked him up. How do you casually tell your child to abduct his love interest?!?! That’s batshit crazy!!!

How is her first advice kidnapping and involuntary lockage?!

Jihwan slid over the refilled bowl of noodles towards the mother and sat down in front of the mother and son.

As they finished eating and discussing some very questionable business decisions making Jihwan wonder ’Is that even legal?!", the two turned towards the elephant in the room.

"So, you like this boy?" Jia said, pointing at Jihwan with her chopsticks.

Ryujin put her hand down, telling her it’s rude to point at someone like that and replied.

"Yes," he said with a blush. "I like him."

"That’s fine," Jia said, but her brows tightened. "Too bad he isn’t an omega. Otherwise it would have been easy to tie him down like your father by marking him and putting a baby inside him."

Jihwan’s jaw dropped on to the floor as he looked at her in disbelief.

"Excuse me?!" He squeaked in surprise.

He was baffled beyond reason. How did she say it like it was the most normal thing ever?!

"Well, a kid brings love between the two people involved. That’s basic maths one on one," the mother explained her ideology calmy.

"But where is the consent and will of the other person? Aren’t you forgetting the other major half of a relationship? That is the person in question!!!" Jihwan argued back.

"Well, that is only a problem if the other person remembers," the mother showed him her glowing red eyes. "Pure blood vampires can manipulate memory just fine."

"Mom! Don’t tell him that!!" Ryujin’s squeak created an awkward silence between the three.

Jihwan looked... no, glared at him as the realisation hit him in the back of his head like a iron rod.

"Don’t tell me...," Jihwan tried recalling everything that had transpired since meeting Ryujin. "Did you mess with my head?"

Well, it certainly made sense how weirdly he felt attracted to Ryujin when he clearly hated his guts before.

So, all those hazy moments where he was mesmerised by Ryujin’s eyes and features was... just him hypnotising him into affection.

Jihwan felt... flattered?

Which was very fucked up given the situation that he had just figured this mother-son duo were repeat offenders.

And that they had no concept of personal identity and will.

What was strange that Jihwan wasn’t that mad about it. This made him actually question his own sanity.

Am I... alright?

He honestly felt that if someone was going as far as hypnotising him to love them just to be with him...he deserves him actually.

That’s some brilliant effort.

A corporate slave honors efforts made for a goal. And Ryujin... to be fair, he was putting in a lot of effort and dedication to woo Jihwan.

But there was no way he was admitting it in front of these two maniacs.

"That’s messed up," he said. "Did you really think I would like that?"

"That exactly why we do it in secret, duh," the mother said as Ryujin became temporarily mute from the shock of getting discovered foul playing by Jihwan.

Even Jihwan was speechless on that.

It looked more like Ryujin had raised his mother to be less violent instead of her raising him as a batshit crazy person.

"So ...um... your father... is he okay?" Jihwan asked, worried.

"Oh, he’s fine," the mother bragged before Ryujin could even open his mouth. "He just feels nervous about closed doors sometimes but otherwise he’s as happy as a merry deer."

"Deers are very nervous creatures," Jihwan pointed out.

He didn’t even want to address why Ryujin’s father had a fear of ’closed’ doors.

"How did you two meet anyway? President Oh’s father and you, I mean, mam," Jihwan asked.

What did the poor guy do to end up with you?

"Oh, it was a brilliant romantic night, I thought I would hang out in the graveyard for fun. You see the atmos there vibes with me," she said chirpily.

Ryujin looked pale and uncomfortable about this account but didn’t seem to have the courage to stop Jia.

Jihwan decided to not interfere.

Let curiosity kill the fucking cat!

"So I was walking around smelling for any fresh new graves. It’s my hobby to chatter with the newly dead. So I’m walking there and I hear crying. I walk over excited that someone alive got buried and I might as well play hero for once.

But what do I see?! It’s a boy! About 19 or 20. He’s dazzlingly beautiful and smells of morning dew. Apparently his brother had died and he couldn’t keep himself from coming back there the very night they buried him.

So I walk over to him, ask his wee name and kidnap him...."

"WAIT! Wait! Wait! Wait! Didn’t you jump to the kidnapping decision to abruptly?! You just asked his name and decided to kidnap him?!" Jihwan asked as he got flashbacks from when Ryujin kidnapped him thinking he discovered his vampire identity.

Do the people in the Oh family just assume things?!

"Don’t interrupt me boy. Anyways, he’s crying and wailing at the mansion, saying stuff like "he’s got a family and all". So I just drugged him with a heat inducer and got him pregnant and then we had our little (?) Ryu here. He got real loving after that."

Ryujin looked like he wanted to just sublime into the air as he looked at Jihwan’s horrified face after hearing his parent’s supposed ’love’ story.

The mother still continued, though.

"Well, he did the lovey dovey thing until Ryu was a few months old. Then my darling ran away from home with Ryu. But I tend to think he didn’t run away and only abruptly decided to visit his parents because in all the whirlwind of our hasty marriage, we didn’t really get a chance to inform his family.

So I track him down with the implant on his ear. And I visit the family with a generous dowry and braught him back. Ryu really liked his grandparents’ house so we started visiting a lot after that.

My darling often tried to go on solo trips to faraway places with Ryu and leave me behind. But I always managed to follow them and catch up on the fun.

Anyways, when Ryu became five, I transferred over half my property to my darling. Now he doesn’t really like trips or anything, maybe his age is catch up to him.

He usually stays home and only goes out when he has appointments at the salon or some business thing he was doing.

What did he say it was? ’Omega Help Center"? Health Centre? Apparently he helps omegas trapped in abusive relationships by manipulative alphas. He’s such an angel, isn’t he?"

This was the moment when everyone in that room except the mother was truly speechless.

What level of delusional do you need to be to achieve that thought process?

Jihwan asked himse as he felt utterly exhausted just by hearing Ryujin’s dad’s life.

"I would really like to meet your father once, President Oh," he said at length. "I think he’s the most inspirational person I have ever heard about. Surviving and not going insane after all that is a feat in itself."

But... Ryujin became awfully quiet in the answer.

The mother was now just focusing on the noodles.

Jihwan looked at Ryujin in a slight panic.

"Don’t tell me..." He mumbled.

"Yes," Ryujin whispered as he leaned in over the table to be closer to Jihwan who had also leaned forward curiously. "Dad, he’s been attending therapy ever since I was five. My mother didn’t just gave him half her property, she made him sigh a legal declaration of his commitment to the Oh family until his death. And then she made him a vampire. So he can’t really dienow, either."

Jihwan felt chills and never in his entire life did he think, that he would find Oh Ryujin to be a very reasonable man.
