Neo read the system description of the snakes one last time, the words burning into his mind. He turned to the other women. "Stay sharp. These things are venomous and pack numbers. One bite and you’re done."
They nodded, faces tight, weapons already raised.
The best way was simple. Neo dropped into Torch Man mode. Holy pyro power flared out of his body in a roaring wave of white-hot flame. The chamber lit up like a furnace. Snakes shrieked as the fire washed over them, scales blackening, bodies curling and bursting. A system scan swept the room a second later. Every snake was burning.
Then the corpses twitched.
Dead flesh still moved. The charred remains crawled toward the center of the chamber, sliding over one another, fusing. Scales locked together. Muscle knitted. Bone lengthened. In seconds the pile became one massive serpent, thirty meters tall, its body swelling as it drank the water pooling on the floor. Fresh scales erupted across its hide, hard and dark. Its mouth split open, revealing rows of dripping fangs longer than Neo’s arm.
It lunged.
Neo met it head-on. He jammed one hand against the upper jaw, the other against the lower, muscles in his arms and shoulders locking as he forced the maw open. The snake’s strength was monstrous. Its breath stank of rot and acid. Neo’s boots skidded backward across the stone while the fangs scraped against his palms. He held.
An idea hit him. He yanked a sealing box from his inventory and hurled it straight down the snake’s throat. The jaws snapped shut on instinct. A muffled detonation shook the chamber. The snake’s midsection ballooned for a moment, then settled. Tough scales and denser inner flesh had absorbed most of the blast. It was hurt, but not dead.
Neo’s arms trembled. He could not keep the mouth open any longer. He counted under his breath.
One.
Two.
Three.
He kicked off the lower jaw and flipped free just as the fangs slammed shut where his torso had been. He landed hard, rolled, and pointed at the women. "Everything you’ve got! Now!"
Light spears streaked through the air. Most of the angels only knew that one spell, but they fired without pause. Gabriel and Bilial mixed in sharper, heavier casts—holy lances and binding chains that actually bit into the scales. Neo switched modes on the fly, cycling between Lord of the End and Torch Man, slamming dark and holy force into the same wounds. The giant snake thrashed, body opening in long bleeding gashes. It finally recoiled, retreating a few meters, thick black blood pouring from its flanks.
Neo saw the flesh already beginning to knit. The window was closing.
He took a wide stance, dropped fully into Lord of the End mode, and gathered every scrap of remaining power into one point. Dark Star. The air around his fist collapsed into a black sphere that screamed with pressure. He released it.
The star punched through the snake’s chest. The entire body detonated in a spray of scale, meat, and ichor. Neo dropped to one knee, lungs burning, mana reserves scraped almost dry. Angels, he realized through the haze, carried far denser mana pools than ordinary women. That explained how Gabriel and Bilial were still standing ready.
Gabriel stared at the smoking remains. A Darkness-type. The same breed that lived deep in the devil kingdom. She had faced one years ago on an early journey and nearly died. The memory still sat cold in her gut. She shook it off and looked at Neo instead.
Her eyes dropped to the heavy bulge straining the front of his pants. She licked her lips without thinking. Only minutes earlier she had been on her knees with that thick cock stretching her mouth, the salty heat of him flooding her tongue. So that was a blowjob. The word still felt new and dirty in her head. She could still feel the weight of him against her palate, the way his muscled thighs had tensed under her hands. Heat pooled low in her belly.
Neo stored the snake’s corpse with a quick motion. "On your feet. We keep moving."
The group rose and filed deeper into the tunnel. Gabriel lagged a step behind, glancing once more at the blood-slick floor of the chamber they were leaving. Troll Mountain sat too close to angel headquarters. Something had left that blood. An intruder, maybe. She needed to investigate. But the leader would arrive soon, and Gabriel had to be ready to welcome her properly. Neo could handle whatever waited ahead. She would tell him later.
They walked until the tunnel opened into another vast chamber. A monster already occupied the center, seated on a rough stone throne. Its body was a wall of corded muscle under gray-green skin. A golden club the size of a tree trunk rested across its lap. A crude iron crown sat on its head.
Neo’s system scan returned the name and rank.
Troll King. Star 9.
His stomach dropped.
He spoke quietly without taking his eyes off the creature. "I take the front. You stay back and hit it with everything long-range."
The women nodded.
Neo stepped forward, dark mana already flooding his channels. Dark Monarch mode. Against thick-skinned brutes the dark energy slipped past outer armor and chewed from the inside. He burst into a sprint, sword of nothingness forming in his grip, the blade a length of pure void.
The Troll King moved faster than anything that size had a right to. It rose in a blur, golden club swinging up to meet Neo’s strike. The two weapons collided in mid-air with a sound like a mountain cracking. The troll’s raw strength won. Neo flew backward, slammed into the far wall, and cratered the stone. Every bone in his body rang with pain.
He forced himself up. The Troll King was already turning toward the women, club raised.
Neo triggered his transportation skill. Space folded. He reappeared directly in front of the monster, sword already descending in a vertical cut. The troll grinned, yellow tusks flashing, and caught the blade on the golden club again.
"Hehehe. Human. You think I’m stupid enough to let that sword touch me?"
Something about the void blade clearly unsettled the king. The club itself was a golem artifact—capable of reflecting or nullifying whatever it could not bounce back. As long as the troll kept Neo’s sword away from its flesh, it stayed safe.
Neo’s mouth curled. "Is that so."
He activated the same transportation skill the Demon of the Calamity had once used. The sword of nothingness vanished from his hand and reappeared inside the troll’s left shoulder. Flesh, bone, and muscle simply ceased to exist in a clean spherical gap. Black blood fountained. The Troll King staggered, the golden club dropping from nerveless fingers. Its massive frame folded, one knee, then both, crashing down hard enough to shake the chamber floor.
