Neo stood in the shadowed clearing with Pinky, the air still heavy from their earlier scouting. He studied the ground markers she had pointed out one by one. The fire trap sat half-buried under loose leaves. It only triggered for people whose fire resistance sat too low. One wrong step and flames would roar up, cooking skin and muscle before the victim could even scream. Next came the cryo trap. A single footfall on the wrong patch of dirt would launch a small device that burst open and wrapped the entire body in freezing crystals. Movement stopped cold. Breathing slowed. The person stayed locked in place until the ice melted or someone smashed it free.

Pinky listed more. Rope snares that yanked ankles upward and left a fighter dangling. Hidden blades that sprang from tree roots. She had found others on her own path. One sprayed poison the moment weight pressed the plate. Another released thick black mist that choked the lungs and stopped air from entering. The worst was the rock trap. Step on the trigger and a massive stone teleported straight above the head, then dropped with crushing force.

Neo nodded once, filing every detail away. His eyes stayed on Pinky. She still looked like she had something left to say. He asked her what was wrong. She answered that while she had passed a certain stretch of forest she had felt a heavy, threatening aura leaking from a castle deeper in. Neo’s eyes widened. That had to be the dream demon’s nest. He told her to lead the way.

They moved through the trees in silence until the castle rose ahead of them, dark stone and broken windows. Both of them dropped into a thick bush and stayed low. Neo laid out the plan in clear words. He would buy thirty boxes of TNT. Each box cost twenty thousand. Technology ran far cheaper than pure magic in the system shops, and that difference was something he planned to use later when he started re-selling. Pinky stored the boxes in her inventory the moment the purchase finished. Neo explained the signal. He would send a magic scroll. The second it reached her hand she was to fly high, light the boxes, and drop all thirty straight onto the castle.

Pinky gave him a thumbs-up and shot into the sky, climbing until she was only a small shape against the clouds. Neo turned back to the castle. He clenched his teeth and told himself it was time to work. He sprinted the last stretch and kicked the heavy front door open.

A wave of freezing air slammed into his face and locked every muscle in place. He cursed, forced his skill active, and broke free of the freeze. Cold sweat ran down his back and chest. He thanked the skill under his breath.

A thick, malicious voice rolled out from the shadows inside. "Heh heh heh. You’re the first one who didn’t go mad just from kicking my door open. But guests shouldn’t kick doors."

The demon stepped into the light. Purple skin stretched over a broad frame. One horn was broken halfway down. He crouched, then lunged at a speed that almost beat Neo’s reaction. Neo got his arms up. The punch landed. It did not bruise flesh. Instead it drove straight into his mind. Dark thoughts flooded in, stacking on top of each other until his head felt ready to split. Neo activated his mental-defense skill at once. The pressure cleared.

The demon grinned. "Let’s see how long you can lean on that skill." He came in with a storm of punches, every hit aimed at the mind. Neo kept the skill running, blocking each wave, but he could not land any real damage of his own. The demon’s body simply refused physical force.

Neo’s thoughts jumped back to the ghost girl he had met in one of the earlier rooms, the one who had flinched at the mention of onions and certain smells. The idea clicked. He jumped backward, spotted the stairs leading to the second floor, and raced up them. He ducked into the first empty room he found.

The demon’s laugh followed him. "Hiding is useless. This whole castle is my second body."

Neo’s eyes widened. That only made the plan with Pinky stronger. Hitting the castle meant hitting the demon himself. He opened his system, scrolled fast, and found an oil that let a blade cut non-physical beings. He coated his sword in a single motion.

He pressed himself behind the door and waited. Slow footsteps approached. The moment the demon stepped through, Neo swung hard at the exposed back. The demon’s eyes flew open in shock and pain. Neo poured mana into the blade until it glowed bright, then triggered the sword technique he had learned from the old texts. The slash cut deep. The demon’s body collapsed and broke apart into a shower of mana shards.

A system notice flashed. Quest complete. Rewards waited in the inventory.

Then the shards began to pull back together. The body was reforming. Neo did not wait. He ran hard, boots slamming down the stairs and out the front door. The second both feet cleared the threshold he wrote the signal on a magic scroll and sent it.

High above, Pinky caught the scroll, lit the thirty boxes, and let them fall. While the first three still dropped through the air, Neo switched into Torch Man mode. His body shot upward, breaking the sound barrier again and again until he reached Pinky’s side. Together they looked down. The explosion that followed was enormous, a wall of fire and force that swallowed the entire castle.

Neo let out a long breath. Nothing could have lived through that. Not even a scrap of the demon would remain.

They flew straight for the Nyx tribe grounds. The moment they landed Neo dropped out of Torch Man mode and ran for Martha’s room. He pushed the door open. She lay on the bed, her face no longer twisted with whatever had been draining her. The improvement told him everything. The demon was gone for good.

He looked at her sitting on the edge of the mattress and asked if she felt better. Martha nodded. Neo pulled his pants down. His twelve-inch cock hung heavy in front of her. He said it was time to test if the cure was real.
