Neo planned to stop outside Sid Town. He had no interest in walking in like some living star that would draw every eye. He dropped torch man mode, the glow around him fading until he was just another traveler. From the cover of the bushes he studied the city walls and the busy docks beyond them. Then he stepped out and walked straight into Sid Town.

The place was packed with women. Almost every face he saw belonged to a fisherwoman, arms strong from hauling nets, skin tanned by long days on the water. Neo stopped one of them near the market stalls.

"Why is this town full of fishermen?" he asked.

She grinned, showing a gap between her front teeth. "Of course it is. The Golden River has the thickest schools of fish in the whole Dhalia Kingdom. More fish than any other waterway."

Neo’s eyes widened. "Is that so? Why call it the Golden River then?"

Her grin died. The light in her face went flat. "Because the river is cursed. The moment someone enters it, their body turns to gold. One drop on your skin and you’re dead. Every fisherwoman you see here is either desperate for money or doesn’t care if she lives or dies."

Neo nodded once. He looked around at the crowded docks, the boats rocking against the piers, the nets drying in the sun. "Can I work as a fisherman’s assistant?"

She pointed toward the far end of the docks where the boats clustered thickest. "Try your luck there, kid."

He walked that way. Every woman he passed had the same hard, curved body built by years of pulling nets and fighting the current. Neo kept his eyes moving. The crown he needed would be deep in the river, far past the safe fishing grounds. He needed a fisherwoman crazy enough to take him there.

He stopped a group of women mending nets and asked the same question. "Who’s the craziest fisherwoman here?"

They all laughed at once, the same answer rolling off every tongue.

"May the Shark."

"Where can I find her?"

They pointed to the far corner of the docks. A small boat sat alone there, half in shadow. Neo walked toward it and then stopped dead. His throat worked once as he took her in.

She was a shark girl. Thick, heavy ass, wide fertile hips that looked made to grip, and the biggest tits he had ever seen straining against her top. Shark teeth flashed when she laughed at something only she found funny. A long shark tail curled behind her, the kind of tail a man could hold tight while driving into her from behind. Red eyes, dark hair, skimpy fishing clothes and shorts stretched so tight over her body they looked ready to split.

Neo walked up to the edge of her boat. "I want to be your assistant."

May laughed, low and rough. "You’ll work for free. I can’t afford to pay anyone."

"Fine," Neo said. "As long as you take me to the deep part of the Golden River, I’ll work."

Her red eyes lit up with a dangerous shine. She moved fast, grabbed his collar, and lifted him clean off the dock with one hand. "Kid, do you know why no one goes to the depths even though the fish are thickest there?"

Neo shook his head.

She laughed again, the sound sharp. "Because the river itself is unpredictable. It will try to sink you. I don’t see a single reason I should go in."

Neo grinned. He looked her over carefully and felt the strength rolling off her. Seventeen stars. A real powerhouse working a simple fishing boat.

"You’re strong," he said. "Why stay a simple fisherwoman here?"

Her fingers twitched. Something dark moved behind her eyes, an old memory she clearly hated. She set him down hard. "I take it back. You don’t work for me. Not even for free."

"Let me prove myself," Neo said. He grabbed her wrist.

May stared into his eyes for a long second, then sighed. "How are you going to prove anything?"

Neo held on and teleported them both. The docks vanished. They stood in the bushes outside Sid Town, the city noise cut off behind the trees.

May’s face never changed. "You transported us this precisely. Not bad." She looked him up and down. "How about we blow off some steam and enjoy our bodies instead?"

Neo pulled his clothes off without a word. He stood naked in front of her, twelve inches of thick cock hanging heavy between his legs. May’s eyes went wide. She let out a long breath. She needed a hard fuck and she needed it soon, but she refused to get mounted by any weakling.

She met his gaze again. "Let’s fight first. If you beat me, I’ll get on all fours like a dog and take that long sword of yours."

Neo nodded and settled into a stance. May dropped into her own. Then she vanished.

She reappeared right beside him and drove a kick into his side that launched him through the air. He crashed through branches and hit the ground hard. May was already running, shark-signal movement blurring her body as she closed the distance and lunged. Neo twisted, barely slipped the first two punches, but the third smashed into his face and snapped his head back.

Blood filled his mouth. He activated his speed skill and tore through the trees, feet pounding. May kept pace without effort. She caught him, kicked him square in the gut, and sent him flying again. He smashed through one tree, then another, wood exploding around him. He hit the ground, rolled, and forced himself up, wiping blood from his chin.

She was already on him. A storm of fast kicks hammered his ribs, his arms, his thighs. Neo caught one thick thigh mid-kick, twisted, and slammed her into a tree hard enough to split the trunk in half. He didn’t wait. He ran, pushing his speed to the limit, because every exchange showed him the same ugly truth—her kicks only got stronger the longer the fight lasted.

He sucked in a deep breath and turned to face her again. They locked into a brutal exchange of punches and kicks. Neo’s body collected cuts and bruises with every second. Blood ran down his chest and arms. He realized the shark girl grew stronger the more of his blood she saw. He hit her with everything he had, fists cracking against her solid frame, but she only hit harder in return. The more he bled, the stronger she became.

Neo scanned his own body for damage, trying to track every injury, but May gave him no time. She kept pressing, kept landing new blows, kept tearing fresh wounds open across his skin.
