After Neo finished his shower, he sat alone in the throne room. The stone walls felt colder than usual. He stared at the empty seat across from him and kept turning the same question over in his mind.
How the hell did that dark lord jump straight to ultimate level?
No warning. No buildup. One day the bastard was gone, the next he was back stronger than ever and leading an army straight at the Nyx tribe. Neo rubbed his temples. Something about it still did not sit right.
Then the system window flared open in front of his eyes.
**Quest: Kill the dark mage Zor**
The man is running around the dark forest, digging up graves and reviving legendary monsters. He is the one who brought Sebastian back.
**Failure:** Your death, plus the death of everyone you care about.
**Reward:** Drill Movement skill level increased.
8,000,000 mana stones.
You will also draw the attention of the legendary mage Lilith. Once you pass her trial, she may offer you her dual cultivation manual.
**Warning:** Completing this quest only raises the chance of meeting Lilith and earning the right to attempt her trial. Fail the trial and you walk away empty-handed.
Neo’s eyes widened. Lilith. The name hit him like a slap. Dark mage. Goddess. Demon queen. The system had called her all three at different times. He pressed a hand to his forehead.
"Lust demon with too many jobs," he muttered. "Figures."
He sat up straighter. The quest never named her as the one behind Sebastian. It named Zor. A different dark mage. Maybe a rival. Maybe someone working against her. Either way, the trail pointed one direction.
The deepest part of the dark forest.
That place was packed with old skeletons and forgotten graves. Perfect ground for a dark mage who needed bodies. Anyone who died that far in was usually high-level, which made them even better material. Neo had seen the pattern before. Every skeleton Zor raised carried the same mark on the back of the skull—three spears crossed over each other.
He had enough to work with.
Neo stood and walked out to where the girls were waiting. Luna, Sakura, Alvina, and the others looked up when he entered.
"I’m heading out," he said. "The real one behind the dark lord and the attack on the tribe is a dark mage named Zor. I’m going after him."
Luna’s brows drew together. "We’re coming with you."
Sakura stepped forward at the same time. "Daddy, take us."
Neo shook his head. "Only two. I keep the numbers low so I can still protect everyone if things go wrong."
He looked at each of them in turn. He wanted to treat the whole harem the same—fair, equal, no favorites. That was the rule he forced on himself. At the same time he knew he had been light on attention with some of them. Taking two who had waited longer felt right. It also let him keep the group small enough to move fast and, if he was honest, small enough for the kind of night he already planned once the fight was over.
His own desires sat heavy in his chest. He wanted kindness and equality with every woman who belonged to him. He wanted to pull the real strength out of each of them and help close the old wounds they still carried. He wanted them to choose him back, not just stay because he was strong. Yet the same fears never left him. He over-thought every conversation. He needed control. He was terrified of losing who he was. And the worst fear of all—he might not be enough to protect the love he was building.
He pushed the thoughts down and spoke again.
"Luna."
Her shoulders dropped in clear relief. She had watched Alvina take the center too many times. Hearing her own name first settled something inside her.
"Sakura."
Sakura’s face lit up. She bounced once on her toes. Going alone would have been better, but the picture of Neo pushing her face into the mattress while Luna watched made heat pool low in her stomach. She was glad Luna was the other one. Luna stayed calm when things got messy. That mattered.
No one argued. Neo nodded once.
They packed light and loaded the carriage. Neo climbed in with the two women and set the destination for the deeper stretches of the dark forest. The vehicle moved fast. Through the window he watched the trees thicken and the ground turn rough. Every few hundred meters he saw open graves—fresh dirt piled beside empty holes.
He ordered the carriage to stop.
Neo stepped down, walked to the nearest skull, and flipped it over. Three spears crossed on the bone. His pulse picked up.
"We’re on the right path," he said. He climbed back in and looked at the two women. "We keep going this way."
He sat quiet for a moment, replaying the graves he had just checked. The dig pattern ran north. Zor was moving that direction. Neo reached for the control board, locked in the northern deepest zone, and the carriage shifted course.
An hour later the vehicle slowed and settled. Neo, Luna, and Sakura climbed out. The carriage folded itself and vanished the way it always did. They followed the trail of open graves on foot. The dirt grew fresher. Then Neo heard it—the scrape of a shovel and the soft thud of soil being tossed aside.
He raised a hand.
"Wait here. I need to see if it’s him before we move."
Both women nodded. He slipped forward alone, using the trees for cover, until he could see the clearing.
An old man stood over an open grave, face twisted and ugly, muttering to himself.
"This is the last one. After this I leave."
Neo pulled up the status window.
**Zor – Peak High-Level Tribesman – Dark Mage**
He waited. He did not rush just because the man was one stage lower. When the guards around Zor dropped to their lowest point, Neo charged a spear of light, leapt, and drove it at the old man’s back.
Zor spun with a grin.
"You fell for it, kid."
From the open grave a dark knight rose, sword already swinging. The blade punched into Neo’s shoulder. Pain flared white-hot. Neo dropped to one knee.
Zor looked down at him with cold eyes.
"Scheming at your age. You waited twenty minutes. I might have taken you as a disciple if I didn’t have bigger work."
Neo forced a pained look onto his face.
"Please... don’t kill me."
Zor laughed, pulled a dagger, and stepped closer.
"You impressed me enough that I’ll do it myself."
Neo drove through the pain and slammed a fist into the old man’s chest. Zor staggered back with a shout.
"Goddamn you, kid!"
Neo grinned through gritted teeth.
"You fell for the second one."
He launched himself at the dark knight. One clean strike, then another. The skeleton collapsed into bone and dust. Neo walked toward Zor, spear still in hand.
"What are you, and why are you here?"
Zor clutched the wound in his chest and laughed.
"Just a man looking for immortality. This forest is the perfect place to test it."
Neo struck again. Before the spear could land, Zor pulled a scroll, tore it open, and vanished into a portal. He reappeared behind Neo and stabbed at his back, then disappeared once more.
Zor’s voice echoed from the trees.
"You know what this is? My own scroll. I can spam teleportation without burning a new one each time. That’s why the mage tower tried to kill me. Said I would ruin too many businesses and powerful people."
Neo stopped moving for half a second. The man had a story, but Neo did not care. The system said kill him. Listening would only pile more weight onto the load he already carried ruling three tribes. He already had enough.
His own wants pressed in again. Kindness and equality for the harem. Real strength for every woman under him. Healing the old scars they still carried. Being chosen by them, not just obeyed. Yet the same cracks stayed open—over-analyzing every look, needing control, fearing he would lose himself, and the constant dread that he might never be enough to protect what he was building.
He forced the thoughts aside and held his breath. He waited until the mana in the air shifted, until he felt the exact spot where a new portal started to form. The moment the space tightened, Neo opened his eyes and thrust.
The spear took Zor’s head clean off. It spun through the air and hit the dirt with a wet sound. The body dropped a second later.
The system window flashed.
**Quest complete. Rewards waiting in inventory.**
Neo wiped blood from his face and muttered, "Too many crazy bastards in this forest."
Luna and Sakura stepped out of the bushes. They had watched the whole fight. They had stayed quiet so they would not break his focus.
Neo looked at both of them. The adrenaline still burned under his skin. He needed to burn it off.
He reached into his shorts, pulled out his twelve-inch cock—already hard—and let it hang heavy in the open air. He gave it one slow sway and looked straight at them.
"Come here and get naked."
Their breathing turned hot and shallow. They started stripping.
