Triple X System

Chapter 390: Elite Blood Puppet

It wasn’t a grunt puppet, and it didn’t possess the crude, bolted-on armor of the detector golem. The figure was slender, dressed in an immaculate, dark velvet coat lined with silver runes that matched the Ninth Cycle order. Its face was pale, features sharp and aristocratic, but its eyes were completely devoid of life—twin pools of solid crimson that held a cold, calculated intelligence that made Kyle’s killing intent instinctively flare. The system text forced its way into his central view, the letters bleeding an ominous, deep purple hue.[TARGET INSPECTION: VLADIMIR’S FACILITY ELITE — ORDER JUSTICAR]Lineage: True High-Undead / Elite Blood Knight.Level: 58Key Attributes: Strength: 360, Agility: 380, Durability: 350, Will: 290.Kyle’s breath locked in his throat as he processed the numbers. Level 58. An Agility stat of 380 and a Strength stat of 360—attributes that completely dwarfed his own level 50 parameters. The elite defenses of the fortress had officially materialized on the board, and the path to Yua was locked right behind them.

The silence that settled over the massive refinery chamber was heavier than the metallic smog choking the air.

High up on the grated steel platform, Kyle didn’t break eye contact with the Order Justicar standing on the lower floor. His gaze tracked the slight, effortless shift in the Elite’s posture. At Level 58, with an Agility stat of 380, the creature moved with a terrifying, liquid grace that made it look less like an undead construct and more like a localized distortion in space.

"Kyle..." Elara whispered, her hand instinctively tightening on his leather shoulder strap. The micro-bursts of kinetic energy around her cloak were completely gone, flattened by the sheer atmospheric pressure radiating from the Elite below. "Look at the silver runes on his lapel. That’s a high-tier blood knight. His Will attribute is 290. Your Eyes of Truth won’t be able to force a trance on him, and my basic light mudras will barely scratch that velvet coating."

"I see the numbers, witch," Kyle replied, his voice dropping into a dark, incredibly quiet timber.

He quickly scanned his resource matrix.

[Host HP: 610/1000]

[Demon Energy: 1200/2500]

[Shadow Energy: 0/1000 (Recovery Recoil: 45 seconds remaining)]

He was entering a fight against a literal speed demon with zero shadow capabilities for the next three-quarters of a minute. If he tried to play a defensive war of attrition, the Justicar’s 360 Strength would eventually cave his skull in through his invisible devil scales. He had to bridge the gap with pure, high-stakes physical mechanics and whatever demonic energy he had left.

Down on the lower walkway, the Order Justicar slowly tilted its head, its twin pools of solid crimson eyes locking directly onto Kyle’s demonic signature. It didn’t let out a primitive, metallic screech like the grunts, nor did it grunt like the golem. When it spoke, its voice was a smooth, chillingly aristocratic whisper that echoed perfectly through the massive bronze vats.

"Insolent stray," the Justicar murmured, drawing a slender, blackened rapier from beneath its velvet coat. The metal of the blade hummed with a violent, dark purple frequency that made the ambient dark energy of the room warp around the hilt. "You crawl through the drainage pipes like a maggot, carrying the stench of our stolen essence. You dare tread upon the soil of the Ninth Cycle? Your blood will make an excellent stabilizer for the next batch."

"You talk too much for a corpse," Kyle spat back, his killing intent ticking up to 25.

Before the last word could even bounce off the bronze walls, the Order Justicar vanished.

There was no blurred streak of motion, no warning indicator. With an Agility of 380, it simply ceased to exist on the lower floor and reappeared directly in front of Kyle’s face on the upper platform. The blackened rapier thrust forward in a flawless, high-velocity trajectory aimed straight for Kyle’s left eye socket.

Kyle’s advanced Kirlin Eyes passive trait—granting his futuristic eyesight a 15% boost—was the only reason his brain processed the incoming strike. Driven by raw, survival-driven adrenaline, he jerked his head sharply to the right.

The blackened blade grazed his cheek, the dark purple frequency of the metal slicing cleanly through his invisible devil scales and drawing a thin line of black, smoking blood.

**[HP: 610/1000 ---> 560/1000]**

"Fast, aren’t you?" the Justicar whispered, its face inches from Kyle’s as it instantly twisted the hilt to execute a brutal, descending slash.

Kyle didn’t try to retreat. Leveraging the 15% physical defense bonus of his permanently infused right leg, he hoisted his Abyssal Talon limb upward, blocking the descending rapier with his shin casing.

*CLANG!*

The impact generated a high-pitched, metallic shriek that shattered the glass gauges of the nearby copper pipelines. The sheer kinetic weight of the Justicar’s 360 Strength slammed against Kyle’s frame, pushing his boots back against the grated steel platform until the metal supports groaned.

"Elara, drop down!" Kyle roared through his grit teeth.

Elara didn’t hesitate. Recognizing that she was a liability on the narrow platform, she flipped herself over the steel railing, utilizing her inverted kinetic friction mudra to slide safely down a massive vertical copper pipe toward the lower refinery floor.

The moment she cleared the zone, the Order Justicar let out a cold, amused chuckle. "A sacrificial gesture. How thoroughly theatrical."

The Elite fluidly shifted its weight, utilizing its superior speed to execute a rapid-fire succession of five consecutive thrusts, each targeting a different vital core across Kyle’s torso.

Kyle was entirely on the defensive, forced to utilize his *Light Combat Skill* basic combat modifiers to parry and block with his abyssal leg. Every single strike that deflected off his talon limb sent a searing jolt of agony through his muscle fibers. The rapier ignoring a portion of his baseline protection due to its dark frequency alignment.

**[HP: 560/1000 ---> 420/1000]**

**[WARNING: HOST IS SUSTAINING SYSTEMATIC PHYSICAL TRAUMA. RECOIL TIME REMAINING FOR SHADOW RECOVERY: 15 SECONDS.]**

*Ten more seconds,* Kyle thought, his vision flashing red at the edges as he barely parried a thrust aimed at his throat. *I just need ten more seconds to get my shadow pool back.*

Down on the lower floor, Elara hit the walkway right next to Yua’s third elemental marker. Her sharp eyes darted across the massive bronze vats, her mind working through the tactical geometry of the chamber. She couldn’t hit the Justicar directly—he was moving too fast for her linear light rays to lock onto his position. She had to alter the environment.

"Kyle! The primary automated catalyst valves right above you!" Elara screamed, pointing toward a cluster of heavy brass pipes feeding into the top of the central bronze vat. "Smash the brackets! The pressurized runoff will flood his vector!"

The Order Justicar’s crimson eyes narrowed slightly as it heard her voice. "Annoying witch," it murmured, preparing to leap off the platform to silence her first.

"You’re not going anywhere," Kyle snarled.

He didn’t care about saving his Demon Energy anymore. He poured 400 points of his remaining 1200 reserves directly into both of his palms. *’Dark Flames!’*

The light-eating black hellfire of the first great demon exploded into his hands, dropping the ambient temperature of the upper platform to a freezing, absolute low. He didn’t target the Justicar. Instead, he slammed both flaming palms straight into the reinforced iron support brackets of the primary pressurized catalyst valves directly above their heads.

*CRACK!*

The high-tier unholy fire violently consumed the dark necro-magic reinforcing the metal brackets, causing the heavy brass pipeline to catastrophically split open. A massive, high-pressure geyser of boiling, unrefined blood-essence and acidic chemical solvents blasted outward, completely flooding the upper platform in a blinding, scalding curtain of crimson liquid.

The Order Justicar’s pristine velvet coat was instantly drenched in the acidic runoff, the positive polarity elements of the unrefined catalyst violently reacting with its high-undead lineage. The Elite let out a sharp, aristocratic grunt of genuine irritation, its liquid agility momentarily faltering as it scrambled backward to evade the worst of the chemical spray.

At that exact microsecond, a golden notification flashed at the corner of Kyle’s vision.

**[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: SHADOW RECOVERY RECOIL EXPIRED.]**

**[SHADOW ENERGY POOL RESTORED TO INITIAL BASELINE: 250/1000]**

"My turn, you noble bastard," Kyle hissed through the scalding red steam.

He didn’t waste a single millisecond. He activated his *Light Combat Skill*, triggering his final *Flash Kill* charge to close the distance through the blinding fog. He vanished from sight, reappearing mid-air directly behind the staggered Justicar.

He expended 100 points of his newly restored Shadow Energy. "Shadow Bind!"

Thick, concentrated strings of shadow warped from the dark corners of the upper roof structure, lashing out to wrap tightly around the Justicar’s velvet-coated arms and legs. Because the Elite’s agility was momentarily compromised by the chemical runoff, the shadow cords successfully locked his limbs into position, anchoring his 350 Durability to the iron platform.

"Insolent worm! You think these petty strings can hold a Lord’s Justicar?!" the Elite roared, its aristocratic composure completely shattering as its 360 Strength began to violently flex, causing the shadow strings to fray and snap one by one.

"They don’t need to hold you for long," Kyle replied, his face completely pale from exhaustion but his eyes burning like twin dark stars.

He gathered every single ounce of his remaining 800 points of Demon Energy into his right leg, combining it with the 15% shadow affinity damage modifier and the passive 25% physical defense ignore from his *Abyssal Talon Manifest*.

He took a short, explosive step forward, executing a terminal, spinning axe kick aimed directly at the center of the Justicar’s chest.

"Dark Flames: Divergence!" Kyle bellowed.

The unholy black hellfire exploded from his boot in a compressed, spiraling torrent of raw destruction. The 25% defense ignore ripped straight through the Justicar’s silver-runed velvet coat, while the Divergence Flames detonated inside its central blood core matrix.
