Chapter 219: Chapter 219: All at Once, or One by One
Wang Chenning shook off Lin Anning’s hand and strode toward the car.
Lin Anning’s provocation had stoked his anger. He was going to teach this tomboy a lesson tonight, once and for all, so she wouldn’t bother him again.
Lin Anning’s ride was a Porsche 911 sports car.
After getting in the car, she stomped on the gas, sending the car flying. She weaved left and right through the streets, tearing up the road.
The traffic was already sparse at this hour, and Lin Anning was an excellent driver, pushing the car over a hundred kilometers per hour on the city streets.
"Watch it!" Wang Chenning cursed after a few close calls. "I don’t care if you want to get yourself killed, but don’t drag innocent bystanders down with you!"
Lin Anning ignored him and kept driving recklessly, frequently slamming on the brakes before gunning the engine, taking corners at sharp angles, and occasionally fishtailing or drifting.
Wang Chenning knew, of course, that she was trying to make him carsick to humiliate him.
He certainly wasn’t going to let her succeed. He sat in the passenger seat, steady as a rock.
He even threw a few taunts her way now and then.
"Damn, the seatbelt can’t even make a dent. You’re not even an A-cup, are you?"
"Tch, taking corners that wide, you almost hit someone. Your reaction time is really something. Did you have polio as a kid?"
"You’re practically leaning on top of me. Your core flexibility is crap. You getting a spare tire or what?"
"And I just noticed today, your ass is so small too. Your only good feature is your long legs, don’t go and ruin that!"
Wang Chenning’s constant nagging from the side almost made Lin Anning explode with rage.
When she reached a red light, she slammed on the brakes, stopping abruptly. "Shut your filthy mouth!" she cursed, exasperated. "Even a woman isn’t as naggy as you!"
As she spoke, she tugged at her clothes, trying to cover her chest.
But to her surprise, Wang Chenning suddenly unbuckled her seatbelt, then unbuckled his own.
Before Lin Anning could react, he had hoisted her up.
He slid into the driver’s seat underneath her, leaving her squashed on his lap and gasping for air.
A moment later, he lifted her as easily as a kitten and dropped her into the passenger seat.
Just as Wang Chenning finished buckling her seatbelt for her, the light turned green.
The moment the light changed, Wang Chenning slammed his foot on the gas. WITH A ROAR, the sports car shot forward like an arrow from a bow.
The road ahead was clear, so Wang Chenning pushed the speed to over one hundred and sixty, then eased off slightly. He weaved through the traffic with incredible agility, yet without affecting any of the other cars.
When approaching a crosswalk without a traffic light, he would slow down from a good distance away and stop to let pedestrians cross.
He only drove at high speeds when the road was empty.
Overall, though, his driving was still aggressive, and he was deliberately trying to mess with Lin Anning. In less than twenty minutes, she couldn’t take it anymore and screamed for him to stop.
After Wang Chenning pulled the car over, Lin Anning threw open her door, scrambled out, and crouched by the side of the road, dry heaving.
When she returned to the car after a bout of retching, looking completely defeated, Wang Chenning chuckled. "Try to show off in front of a master and you only end up humiliating yourself. I’m genuinely concerned for your IQ. Tell me where we’re going, or I’m heading home to sleep."
Lin Anning gave him an address, then leaned back in her seat, resting her head in her hand and staring blankly.
Wang Chenning stopped slamming the brakes and the accelerator, driving smoothly toward the location Lin Anning had mentioned.
The car had just entered the abandoned factory district that Zhao Xiao’an had mentioned when a row of headlights flashed on. A group of burly men started walking toward them.
"Well now, quite a crowd!" Wang Chenning hopped out of the car, a mocking look on his face as he watched the men surround them. He even started counting, "One, two, three... Are there twelve of you?"
Then he turned to Lin Anning, who had followed him out of the car. "So, how do you want to play this? All at once, or should they take turns?"
Lin Anning leaned lazily against the car door and waved a hand at the thugs. "You guys play with him for a bit. Just don’t kill him."
"Alright!" Wang Chenning quickly agreed. "I guarantee no one will die!"
Before the thugs could even make a move, Wang Chenning charged forward. A spinning kick followed by a side kick sent two of them toppling to the ground.
"This kid’s got skills! He’s fast, everyone be careful!"
Someone shouted, and the others quickly backed away, keeping a distance of about five meters from Wang Chenning.
The two men Wang Chenning had kicked down quickly got back up. All twelve of them formed a circle, slowly closing in on him.
Wang Chenning showed no signs of panic. He didn’t make a move, just stood there calmly with his arms crossed.
"Get him!" When the thugs were about three meters away, one of them yelled, and they all rushed forward at once.
Wang Chenning silently praised their strategy but met their charge without a hint of fear.
He struck with unexpected speed. A front kick followed immediately by a spinning kick sent the same two men he’d knocked down earlier flying four or five meters away.
They screamed as they collapsed limply to the ground, unable to get up, completely out of the fight.
The others didn’t spare a glance for the two men Wang Chenning had sent flying; they all attacked him together.
Wang Chenning was much faster than them. After kicking two more men away, he slid a short distance, slipping right out of their encirclement.
As the thugs tried to surround him again, Wang Chenning kicked several rocks up from the ground, sending them flying straight at the men.
Three of the thugs were hit in the face by the rocks, and blood began to pour. The stones Wang Chenning had kicked broke one man’s nose, knocked out five or six of another’s teeth, and fractured the orbital bone of a third, nearly blinding him.
This sudden turn of events made the remaining thugs hesitate.
Seizing the moment of their hesitation, Wang Chenning attacked again with a series of rapid kicks, sending another three thugs flying.
He didn’t hold back, and his kicks were powerful. Two unlucky thugs had their arms broken, rendering them unable to fight. He caught a third man with a kick like a heavy slap to the face, sending him flying into a companion and knocking them both down.
Wang Chenning gave them no chance to recover. He leaped forward and delivered a devastating elbow strike to the man who had been knocked over.
The thug took the blow to his abdomen and passed out instantly.
As Wang Chenning rose, he stomped a heavy kick onto the man he’d just sent flying, pinning him to the ground and taking him out of the fight for good.
At that moment, the remaining thugs all drew their weapons.
Each of them brandished a baseball bat as they charged at Wang Chenning!
