Under the Heart Demon's control, the Bloody Monk went mad; when no one was left to kill, he began to self-harm. Though under the Heart Demon's control at the time, he still remembered what happened. The Heart Demon had him dismantling the millennia-old Xiaolin Temple. Most of the temple was built with brick walls, and the Bloody Monk nearly demolished the entire place, injuring himself severely despite his incredible strength. Eventually, he even started ramming his head against everything around him, almost as if he intended to commit suicide.

At that time, the Bloody Monk could not contain his actions, though he recalls clearly, despite severe head injuries from all the ramming, he might have very well died crashing into something within Xiaolin Temple, though he could not stop himself. To this day, the Bloody Monk still bears scars on his head from that time.

When the Bloody Monk reached the peak of madness, nearly losing his life, a suddenly heard voice saved him.

"Amitabha!"

The source of the Buddhist phrase was unknown, but it was gentle as if a venerable monk was softly declaring a Buddhist texts. Yet to the Bloody Monk at the time, it was akin to thunder, pulling him out of his madness and drawing him back from the brink of death. Regaining awareness, the Bloody Monk was dumbfounded, immediately looking around, yet Xiaolin Temple was in ruins, filled with bloody corpses, with no one who could have uttered the phrase visible.

Although the voice pulled him from his madness, his mind was still somewhat hazy due to the severe control of the Heart Demon. Therefore, he did not find the situation as shocking, instead leaving Xiaolin Temple in a daze. Wandering the world thereafter, the Bloody Monk was sometimes clear-headed and sometimes confused, but he remembered that all those in Xiaolin Temple were killed by his hands. Hence, he publicly acknowledged Xiaolin Temple's massacre was his doing, which contributed to his notorious reputation.

Later, after learning Enlightenment Bodhi left by Patriarch Bodhidharma, the Bloody Monk gradually suppressed the Heart Demon and his mind began to clear. During that time, the Bloody Monk began pondering the events at Xiaolin Temple, contemplating who that person who saved him might be, and who had uttered that vital Buddhist phrase?

The Bloody Monk was very familiar with Xiaolin Temple and knew its inhabitants well. He thought it over and concluded that in the temple, the only one with such strength was his brother Shijia. But at the time, Shijia was not present at Xiaolin Temple, and the Bloody Monk knew Shijia well enough to be sure he wouldn't have stopped him. So, he immediately ruled out Shijia. However, besides Shijia, who else in Xiaolin Temple had such prowess?

Later, during a confrontation against Corpse Ghost Dragon in Shenchuan City, the Bloody Monk was controlled by the Heart Demon Powder from Corpse Ghost Dragon, triggering the Heart Demon anew, almost causing a disaster in Shenchuan City. Fortunately, Monk Wuhua arrived timely and called out a Buddhist phrase, awakening him. The situation was almost identical to what happened back in Xiaolin Temple, leaving the Bloody Monk stunned, suspecting Monk Wuhua might have been the one who saved him back then.

Initially, the Bloody Monk was unwilling to return to Xiaolin Temple, unable to face the place or the deeds he committed. However, after attempting to ascend beyond the pinnacle, he discovered something. Whenever he tried to meditate and perceive beyond the peak, he'd involuntarily recall that phrase of Buddhist chanting from Xiaolin Temple. Every time he sat quietly to think, it would thunder in his mind continuously, reminding him of the events back then. It seemed that Buddhist phrase had become the Bloody Monk's greatest Heart Demon, the biggest barrier to surpassing the pinnacle realm.

After suffering such a defeat in Shenchuan City, the Bloody Monk realized his need for greater power. Thus, he wanted to break through the acme quickly to reach beyond the pinnacle and contend with the Wanyan Family. But unless he overcame this Heart Demon, he'd never break free of the acme's shackles. Hence, his return to Xiaolin Temple was to find the person who once stopped and saved him, to eliminate the Heart Demon within, the persistent Buddhist phrase echoing in his mind!

Standing calmly at the mountain's foot for a moment, the Bloody Monk began to walk slowly along the path leading to Xiaolin Temple. Indeed, with his qinggong skills, he could easily have reached the temple on the mountaintop quickly, but he had no such rush. He hadn't returned to Xiaolin Temple for decades; he wished to see every tree and blade of grass again, to walk the path he had traversed countless times.

Walking along the mountain path took over three hours, and finally, the Bloody Monk reached the outside of Xiaolin Temple.

Nowadays, Xiaolin Temple lacked its past grandeur, reduced to ruins, more broken than when the Bloody Monk left. Looking at the desolate relic, the Bloody Monk sighed deeply; this was his legacy, the home he had destroyed with his own hands!

He stood by the gates of Xiaolin Temple for a long time before slowly approaching. The enormous plaque at the entrance lay broken on the ground, now only half remaining, much like when the Wolf Monk was here.

The Bloody Monk reached out to gently stroke the plaque, feeling a surge of mixed emotions within. Looking at it, memories of the past surged forth uncontrollably. Everything here was so familiar, stirring a flood of recollections.

While lightly stroking the plaque, his hand unintentionally touched a broken section. As soon as he touched it, his expression suddenly changed, immediately picking up the plaque to closely inspect the broken part!
