Wanyan Second Master looked at Wanyan Hongfeng in confusion, his face full of doubt, unsure of what Wanyan Hongfeng was trying to say.
"To get the Sun Shooting Bow without entering the mountain, how's that possible?" asked Wanyan Second Master curiously.
Wanyan Hongfeng waved his hand and said, "You don't need to worry about this matter. First, take care of those other things for me. Also, regarding Minger's situation, don't hold it against him; he's just a child!"
Upon hearing this, Wanyan Second Master felt a bit displeased. Damn it, this is still a child? He's already twenty or thirty years old, how long is he going to be considered a child? Spoiling your grandson doesn't mean you can disregard your brother's honor, does it?
Of course, Wanyan Second Master couldn't say these words out loud, only cursing silently in his heart, feeling a bit resentful towards Wanyan Hongfeng. Wanyan Hongfeng's intelligence was undoubtedly admired by everyone in the Wanyan Family. However, this favoritism really left a sour taste. But, no matter how displeased he was, there was nothing he could do about it.

Mount Wendao wasn't too far from Medicine King Mountain. Ye Qing drove over and reached Medicine King Mountain in less than a day.
Returning to Medicine King Mountain, Ye Qing couldn't help but feel a wave of emotion. The last time he came here was when the Medicine King Mountain had just reopened. It was also the time when the heritage of Divine Doctor An Shiping re-emerged, seeking someone to inherit his legacy. In the end, none of the people who went up the mountain received the inheritance of Divine Doctor An Shiping. Instead, Lin Tianyou died there, which left an eternal knot in Ye Qing's heart.
During this period, every time Ye Qing thought of Lin Tianyou, he couldn't help but blame himself. If it weren't for him, Lin Tianyou would not have come to Medicine King Mountain, nor died there. Among all of Ye Qing's friends, Lin Tianyou was one of the few he truly admired. But why do good people never live long? Lin Tianyou, a divine doctor who saved countless lives, ended up dying on Medicine King Mountain. This made Ye Qing lament the injustice of the Heavenly Dao.
Returning to Medicine King Mountain, Ye Qing couldn't help but think of Lin Tianyou, and also recall the sorrow of the Lin family caused by his death. The Lin family's people were still mired in grief over Lin Tianyou's passing. Even now, when seeing the Lin family, Ye Qing was filled with guilt, unsure of how to face them.
Everything at Medicine King Mountain seemed as usual. Returning to the village he once stayed in, Ye Qing felt nostalgic. He didn't stay in the village but found a secluded spot in a nearby town to temporarily reside. With two days left until the fifteenth, Ye Qing was unsure whom he was supposed to meet or where to meet, so he decided to wait here and see what happens on the fifteenth.
During his day in town, Ye Qing kept a low profile and seldom went out, ordering takeout instead of dining out. When receiving the food, he would have them leave it at the door while he slid money through the gap under the door, ensuring that no one saw him, fearing that he might be discovered. With the Wanyan family issuing a worldwide manhunt for him, he couldn't afford any carelessness.
The next day at noon, Ye Qing, as usual, took his lunch delivery. After a simple meal, he returned to his bedside, planning to rest before heading to Medicine King Mountain later. Evening would mark the fifteenth, the time to pick someone up. Ye Qing had no idea where he should meet, so he decided to go straight to Medicine King Mountain.
Not long after lying down, Ye Qing felt something strange; the energy in his body began to stir slightly. This was something he hadn't experienced in a long time. What was happening?
While Ye Qing was puzzled, there was also a cool sensation coming from the Mu Ling in his pocket, rushing into his body. This made Ye Qing suspect he might have been poisoned.
Ye Qing's current physical condition was practically immune to all poisons; no poison could affect him. Any form of Buddhist and Taoist magic power within him could resist toxins. Naturally, if poison entered his body, his inner strength would react.
As for Mu Ling, it could detoxify all poisons in the world. Once Ye Qing came into contact with toxins, Mu Ling would automatically detoxify him. When Mu Ling reacted, Ye Qing realized he must have been poisoned. His body's energy was undoubtedly responding to the poison as well.
How could he have been poisoned?
Ye Qing knew that a poison potent enough to activate both his inner strength and Mu Ling couldn't be a simple one. This indicated that someone had purposely administered a deadly poison targeting him.
Ye Qing immediately glanced at the food box in the trash can. Could it be that someone had poisoned the food?
While he wasn't sure how the poison was administered, Ye Qing was acutely aware that any poison which could provoke his inner strength and require Mu Ling's detoxification was certainly not ordinary. It meant there was a poisoning expert specifically aiming to harm him, showing that his location had been compromised and someone was preparing to assault him.
Realizing this, Ye Qing quickly sat up. The poison within him had no effect and was neutralized in no time, leaving Ye Qing unharmed. Whether due to his tripartite internal energies or Mu Ling, the detox was effortless. The pressing concern for Ye Qing was the poison's origin. With his current abilities, should he confront the poisoner, he'd be utterly outmatched!
Ye Qing knew he couldn't linger in the room. He quietly opened the window to look outside.
Outside was the hotel's backyard, not very large, with three parked cars, including one that belonged to Ye Qing.
From Ye Qing's vantage, he could clearly see the entirety of the backyard. It was a secluded area, with no people around, hence very quiet.
After careful observation, Ye Qing noted there was no one around the backyard perimeter, which reassured him slightly. Thankfully, the backyard was unguarded, providing him a potential escape route.
The front exit was certainly out of the question, as anyone poisoning him was likely stationed there, watching. Should Ye Qing attempt to leave that way, attackers would surely confront him, making escape impossible.
He understood why the backyard was unmonitored. The room's windows could not be fully opened—only about a half-foot gap was possible. This was a security design. Hence, a window jump was not feasible. The would-be assailants assumed he couldn't leave via the backyard, leaving it unguarded.
But this couldn't stop Ye Qing. He found some pre-purchased duct tape in the room and used it to cover the entire window glass. Then, he took a small hammer, wrapped it in a blanket, and struck the glass hard.
Despite the glass being impact-resistant, Ye Qing's full strength managed to shatter it. The hammer was muffled by the blanket, so the sound wasn't loud. The broken glass, secured by duct tape, didn't shatter noisily. The entire process was silent and efficient.
Once the glass was broken, Ye Qing quickly crawled out the window, descending along the side of the pipes.
Throughout the escape, no one noticed as Ye Qing discreetly approached one of the cars. He dared not use his own vehicle, instead picking another car to break into, start, and drive away from the yard, heading straight for Medicine King Mountain without delay.
Meanwhile, inside the hotel, in the room opposite Ye Qing's, three individuals were monitoring his room's entrance. Among them, one looked like a delivery worker; he was the one who had brought the food to Ye Qing.
"How about now? Any changes?" a tall man asked in a low voice.
"What's the rush? The food just went in; even if he ate immediately, the poison still needs time to act!" a short man replied, "Once the poison kicks in, we'll rush in, and capturing that Ye fellow will be a breeze. We don't need to compensate him as a beyond peerless master. Let the Wanyan Family give us a fortune; we'd be set for life!"
If anyone overheard, they'd surely laugh. These three were little more than petty crooks, chasing Ye Qing for money—a pursuit likely to amuse anyone aware of their motives.
Yet they were unfazed, accustomed to their roles as small-time thieves. Their skill wasn't formidable. Though all had achieved Internal Energy Release, they hadn't reached top levels. Compared to today's beyond peerless masters, they were mere small fry.
For this reason, they knew they couldn't best Ye Qing alone, thus resorting to poison. Ironically, they underestimated him, unaware of his powerlessness. Had they known, they'd have confronted him directly, instead of relying on poison.
This lack of knowledge inadvertently gave Ye Qing an opportunity to flee before they realized.
The trio continued patiently waiting, approximately thirty minutes passing, until the short man turned to the delivery worker-looking guy and said, "Go knock on the door, see what's happening!"
The delivery worker quickly rose, took a deep breath, opened the room door, and approached Ye Qing's, lightly knocking. "Sir, I'm the delivery man. There was a mistake with the money you gave me!"
