Chapter 2004: Chapter 2003: Hellfire Demon
Li Feng watched the Barbaric Bull engulfed in flames, the Phoenix Flame Mark already beginning to integrate into its bloodline. Now, it was up to these Barbaric Bulls to endure the transformation of the Phoenix Flame.
As the Barbaric Bull’s body began to crack like a tortoise shell, it seemed as if it could explode at any moment. Li Feng remained calm, though a bit anxious inside; success and failure were a matter of moments.
Roar.
Suddenly, the aura of one Barbaric Bull changed abruptly, as if the devouring Phoenix Flame was instantly absorbed into its body.
If the Phoenix Fire was an invader before, at this moment, the Phoenix Fire that enshrouded the Barbaric Bull had already merged with it.
Li Feng’s gaze fell on the Barbaric Bull that had absorbed the Phoenix Flame into its body. After being scorched by the fire, it looked like a piece of charred coal.
The surrounding Demon Clan members watched the Barbaric Bull Warrior turned into charcoal, swallowing hard one after the other.
This was like roasting a whole cow for disagreeing.
It’s done.
Li Feng’s lips curled up slightly as his sharp ears caught the sound of a heartbeat coming from the charred body in front of him, thump, thump...
The heartbeat was slow, like a dormant volcano coming back to life. As it beat, the charred skin began to crack, with flames igniting from the fissures.
Roar.
A roar erupted from the Barbaric Bull whose heartbeat restored and power returned to its body; a burst of energy erupted as the sky-high flames broke through the charred skin, revealing a robust body that seemed newly reborn.
Li Feng looked at the reborn Barbaric Bull, examining it up and down. This Barbaric Bull was vastly different from before, with its body covered in fiery patterns like molten lava streaming through volcanic cracks. The flowing molten lava fire inside those skin fissures made it look like a demon emerging from hell.
As one Barbaric Bull completely integrated, more Barbaric Bulls began to complete their integration, one by one wrapped in fiery patterns that seemed to have evolved into a new species.
Moreover, as the integration completed, the aura of these elite Barbaric Bulls became comparable to the rank of a Demon Clan commander at the Chiliarch level.
"Hmm, very good."
"You can take your Demon General and leave now. I’ll keep this grain. Tell your Commander Niu that if there’s extra grain, I won’t mind a fair trade."
"Let him send someone to discuss the price with me."
Li Feng turned around abruptly: "Collect the grain, see the guests out."
After he finished speaking, Li Feng floated away.
Lei Ba and others chuckled, immediately ordering people to collect the grain carts, while the accompanying Barbaric Bull Warriors exchanged bewildered glances.
The Barbaric Bull War General leading them was still stuck head-first in the ground, and with no orders, they had no desire to fight.
Their emotions were extremely mixed at this moment: a sense of narrowly escaping death, blessing in disguise, and joy in newfound strength.
They could already feel the changes in their bodies, which were undeniably more powerful than before, an unprecedented feeling.
"First, lift General Niu Er up."
A few Barbaric Bull Warriors exchanged a glance, hurriedly moving forward to pull Niu Er, who was stuck upside down, out of the ground, as embarrassing as possible.
"Damn it, to think he’d belittle me like this. I’ll remember this grudge," Niu Er glared viciously at the disordered camp.
"What’s going on with you?"
Niu Er sensed the unusualness of his subordinates nearby; the scorching aura they emitted made him feel uncomfortable.
"We don’t know either."
Not knowing, these bastards were acting humble after gaining benefits. Their aura was no weaker than his now.
Dammit.
Niu Er looked at the grain carts that had been taken away, knowing that the people he brought weren’t enough for revenge. He could only leave with his subordinates indignantly.
Right camp.
Commander Niu personally presided there. Niu Er didn’t tidy up his disheveled appearance; he intended to complain, and the marks on his face were the evidence.
"Commander Niu."
Niu Er lifted the tent curtain, entered, and knelt with a sorrowful expression: "Subordinate was incompetent and embarrassed you, Commander."
Niu Gengtian looked at his trusted aide. Niu Er’s strength was ordinary, but he had been Niu Gengtian’s childhood friend. Despite his mediocre power, the initial Demon General strength he received was due to special training.
Though Niu Er’s strength was average, his loyalty was unquestionable, so as a trusted aide, loyalty was prioritized.
"What happened?"
Niu Er immediately exaggerated his embarrassing encounter with Li Feng: "Commander Niu, that young man from the Fire Phoenix Clan was exceedingly arrogant and treated you with no respect."
Niu Gengtian glanced at Niu Er’s disheveled state but keenly noted the key points in Niu Er’s words. He suddenly stood up, walked around the table, and passed by Niu Er.
Could it be that Commander Niu is angry and wants to avenge him? Niu Er, seeing this, crawled and scrambled to follow.
Niu Gengtian walked out of the tent, only to see the obviously changed Barbaric Bull trusted aides outside the tent.
These Barbaric Bull trusted aides were from his tribe. Although more elite than ordinary Barbaric Bull Warriors, they were limited, like the likes of Niu Er.
"Commander Niu."
Niu Gengtian walked up to one of the Barbaric Bull Warriors, touching the flame patterns on the other’s body: "Let me see your burst."
"Yes, Commander."
Immediately, the Barbaric Bull Warrior let out a low roar as his bloodline power activated. The demonic power coursed through, and although returning to normal, his skin with flame patterns surged.
This was the innate talent of the Barbaric Bull Clan, Copper Wall Iron Barrier forming an Earth Element armor, granting immense defense power.
But unlike ordinary Copper Wall Iron Barrier, when the Barbaric Bull Warrior exploded, the Earth Element armor formed Molten Rock Cracks, and flames rose.
Instantly transforming from wearing ordinary battle armor to wearing Molten Rock Battle Armor, his appearance ascended several tiers.
Niu Gengtian felt the fiery heat wave.
"Come, punch me."
"Subordinate wouldn’t dare."
This Barbaric Bull Warrior dared not lay a hand on Niu Gengtian. Instead, a nearby War General suggested: "Commander Niu, to test their strength, no need for you to do it yourself. Let me do it."
Niu Gengtian pondered for a moment; it indeed wasn’t suitable for him. However, he didn’t let the War General take action.
"Niu Er, you do it."
"Oh, okay."
Niu Er eagerly stepped forward, then looked at his "flashy" subordinate opposite: "Heh, when you strike, make sure to use all your strength, or see how I deal with you calves."
Niu Er felt an overwhelming sense of superiority over these Barbaric Bull Warriors. After all, he was the strongest and their superior.
Although these calves now seemed different, you’re still beneath me.
"Yes, Commander."
Aiming at Niu Gengtian, they dared not move, but with Niu Er, these trusted aides felt less pressure. Moreover, Niu Er always used his strength to suppress them as if they weren’t relatives from the same tribe as Commander Niu.
