Half an hour later...

"So that’s about all the stuff you should know during your time here." Belva closed the pamphlet as she finished summarizing the content.

Despite the completion of her duty, all she saw was Ray nearly dozing off from time to time.

"Young Master Ray!" She raised her voice slightly.

"Huh?" Ray quickly jolted and looked around. "Oh, you’re done summarizing it? That was some good content. I’ll keep it in mind."

"You really kept it in mind?"

"Of course, I swear upon William’s manhood!"

"..."

Belva instantly knew the truth the moment he made such a swear.

’William again. What kind of grudge does he have against him? Not even Jake received such special treatment.’ She was starting to wonder if there was some history between the two.

However, whenever she recalled how idiotic William behaved versus the shrewd Ray, she found it hard to believe they had anything in common.

Maybe William’s foolishness simply annoyed Ray too much.

"So you didn’t actually memorize anything?" She glanced at the pamphlet and sighed.

"You worry too much, Belva." Ray placed his hand behind the back of his head and smirked. "If those pamphlets were actually useful, there wouldn’t have been a chance that you would become my maid, right?"

"..."

Had she not known any better, she might really think he was trying to get under her skin.

But that wasn’t the case.

He purposely brought up the topic to test whether her mentality was in the right mind or not.

Just that he would never admit it or show it as he cared.

And no, this wasn’t her delusional mind thinking or Stockholm syndrome.

Nevertheless, she understood that the concerns stemmed from the fact that she was still useful. A person of no use was destined to be discarded or ignored.

"By the way, is this really the academy that so many strive for? Aside from the flashy sky castle, everything is just bland." Ray commented.

He went to university in his old world, which was extremely big, so he wasn’t fascinated by the architectural designs.

"You have just registered and been assigned to a dorm. The welcoming ceremony won’t begin until the next day, when all students are expected to have memorized the pamphlet already." Belva explained and brought up the pamphlet again.

"Also, you haven’t even seen the real magical part of the academy yet. For now, it’s only like this because a large number of students were going to be transported here."

’What magical part? I’ve read that in the novel, and aside from the fact that William got his butt harassed, there was nothing else special.’ He thought to himself.

Now that he thought about it, the author Chasing Star really loved rage-baiting her readers. They would make their blood boil by having the protagonist suffer a mild form of bullying and treatment.

Seriously, Ray really wanted to get compensated for all those emotions he reacted to in the past on behalf of William.

"So that means we’re free all day, right?" Ray asked.

"By technicality, yes." Belva nodded but quickly added, "In theory, new students should be taking the time to explore the facility and look at the clubs and other rooms to get an understanding of their life in the academy."

"Okay, so I can sleep, right?"

"Yes, but don’t you want to explore the facility?"

"Not really."

Truth be told, Ray was completely uninterested in academic life.

Had it not been for Robert’s threat and the fact that he needed to be present to check the story’s progress, he wouldn’t have even bothered to come.

’Like seriously, who wants to attend classes when you’re done with school a long time ago?’ Ray was sure he wasn’t alone in this mindset.

"Young Master, please. Try to make an effort." Belva pleaded. "Not everyone is fortunate enough to get an opportunity to attend Cresetallan Academy. This place is supposed to be a life changer for many."

Ray took a deep breath and sighed.

’System, open my character and just show me the stats. I don’t care for those dumb debuffs and comments.’ Ray requested.

Unfortunately, the system clearly didn’t care about his request and displayed everything.

[Personal overview]

A rogue reader who couldn’t stand a perfect ending provoked the author to an unimaginable degree. Since he claimed to know it all, he shall live in the Lord of Magic world and experience the life of a villain extra.

Currently functions as:

A useless trash (Crestellan Student)

Adopted son of Robert Carrion

[Attributes]

Strength (Str): 3, Dexterity (Dex): 3, Constitution (Con): 2, Intelligence (Int): 5, Wisdom (Wis): 5, Charisma (Cha): 0

[Skills]

Abyssal Dominion Core, Feral Movement, Elemental Barrier, Rend, Necromancer

[Villain Store]

Villain Points: 270

Chance of Villain Wheel: 0

’Hah, my constitution sure is wonderful.’ Ray thought to himself. To those who aren’t game nerds and need an explanation, the constitution was a measure of stamina, health, and endurance.

Given his state, it was a miracle to have 2 points and not 1.

Strength measures physical power as if that wasn’t obvious, and dexterity measures agility, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination.

As for Intelligence and Wisdom, people often misunderstood the concept as the same thing, but Intelligence functioned more as memorization, deduction, and logic.

In contrast, Wisdom functioned in the space of intuition, perception, and willpower, which we all just claimed as the sixth sense.

’At least the system knows his crap that I’m a 5 in both.’ He sneered inwardly.

[The system also knows your charisma is 0. If a negative value was possible, it would have been imposed.]

"Shall we do some exploration, tour guide?" Ray feigned blindness at the system’s comment and stood up from the bed.

His Villain Points were a bit lacking, so it was time to farm some more.
