Many minutes went by, and Ray was just watching Belva eat her meal in an orderly manner.

"Ah, who can eat like that and not be mad?" Ray couldn’t stand her small bites and her table manners.

Food was supposed to be enjoyable and devoured with joy.

Only the pretentious high society people would take their time eating food and avoid using their hands.

In the old Stone Age, humans used their hands to eat, and not a knife or fork.

Imagine forgetting their predecessors!

Now that was what one should call unfilial.

Just eat freely and stop being restrained by the so-called etiquette and formality.

"I can’t be that carefree anymore, Young Master." Belva finished her piece of vegetables and explained. "My status is technically worse than that of a commoner. To be able to enjoy this food is already considered a luxury."

SLAM!

At this moment, Ray suddenly slammed his palm on the table.

"Say that again?" He questioned coldly.

Belva’s body jolted slightly. She was startled and confused as to why he was suddenly angry.

She didn’t say anything bad about him, right?

"I’m sorry." She quickly lowered her head and apologized, even though she didn’t know what she had done wrong.

"Where was that feisty woman prior to me joining the household at?"

Ray rolled his eyes and leaned closer to her.

"Aren’t you tired of this maid roleplay for so long? Like I’ve said, I don’t give a damn about status here and status there. As long as you remain loyal to me, I don’t even care if you go on a rampage. That’s my bias toward my own people." He whispered softly.

The first person he ever met when being thrown into an unfamiliar world was Belva.

He didn’t even get any special cheat at that time until a little bit later on. And even then, his cheating wouldn’t be useful until he took the first step.

To simplify, the cheat he got was a splash attack that literally does no damage.

It wasn’t until he used a loophole method to finally gain some decent skills.

"I—uh..." Belva was caught off guard and didn’t know how to respond to that.

"Hello, you’re the only one who could keep up with my antics. It would be hard for me to find another assistant to replace you. And I really cannot stand the fake roleplay act. Do it when you want to mess with your enemies." He cleared his throat and went back to lean on his arm.

"Is this considered a pep talk or an order?" She asked amusingly.

"Whatever you decide. But if you want to continue this exhausting life, then so be it. Don’t come crying to me later or have an explosive episode from all the pent-up emotion."

"..."

Belva paused and glanced at her food.

Forget it, what’s the point of faking it anymore?

She was also a former student here before, and the professors knew of her behavior.

Without hesitation, she tossed away the crappy etiquette and began to enjoy the food as she pleased.

"That’s right, who the hell cares so much about other people’s opinions?" Ray lazily turned to her when he noticed a loud munching sound.

He remained unaware that there was an invisible orb that recorded the entire scene.

The orb was highly manufactured by a powerful mage, so not even his newly acquired passive skill, perception, could detect it.

"Looks like she’s doing fine." Margaret was at her office and watched the scene unfold. At the table was the former dusty trophy, which had been cleaned to a sparkling light.

Originally, she planned on meeting her after the talks with Cowell. But she didn’t know where Belva had gone, so she activated her orb recording device.

The orb was never intended to spy on others, but was used for herself in the research experiment. A real professional would always record their lab experiment and review the footage once everything was done to check if there was anything that needed correction or improvement.

She didn’t expect to witness the scene of Belva’s so-called Young Master’s matches with the famous second-year student, George Windall.

"George rarely had any acquaintances with whom he could chat and laugh so often. They just met, and he even gave his cherished magic chessboard and promised a gift to him. How unusual." Margaret couldn’t understand what Ray did or what his charm was that could make friends with George.

She had thought maybe Ray wasn’t as bad, but that didn’t last long either.

"He actually corrupted my student into putting laxatives on another student’s food. This Raymond definitely needs to go." She gnashed her teeth and felt like he was a dangerous villain.

He was terrible at chess, but he was even more despicable to resort to crooked means to win a game.

Such a disgusting and zero-sportsmanship student didn’t deserve to study in the Crestellan Academy.

"I cannot let this continue." Margaret stood up and donned her robe. She had planned on waiting until tomorrow’s official ceremony to welcome the first year, but not anymore.

Now that she had learned of the dangerous environment Belva was in, she couldn’t afford to wait any longer.

She had waited far too long!

She snapped her fingers and instantly cast a formation beneath her foot.

Soon, she vanished from her office.

Swoosh!

...

Cafeteria

In the blink of an eye, Margaret appeared behind Ray and Belva’s table. Her appearance instantly caused the other second-year students to be shocked.

Margaret didn’t even say much to them and simply used her eyes to signal them to get the hell out of it.

These second-year students had all been traumatized by her already. Thus, they all got up and left without hesitating.

Who would want to stick around and catch her fury?

Sorry, but they had all learned enough lessons in their first year.

"Eh, why did they all run away as if a zombie apocalypse had arrived?" Ray overheard the loud commotion and was about to doze off again.
