Eren’s brain stopped working with a screeching halt. Even a hard reboot won’t work now.

He sat frozen beneath the voluptuous MILF, his palm resting on her hip suddenly feeling like it was glued to a divine landmine.

Across the sofa, Norelia’s round glasses slightly slid down her nose. The petite professor’s jaw slackened, her red eyes widening until they were about to burst right out of their sockets.

"Your... what?" Norelia squeaked, the words choking in her throat before her volume violently spiked into a screech. "Your first daughter?!"

Carolynn, entirely oblivious to the impending explosion, let out a fond, melodic hum as she adjusted her posture in Eren’s lap, resting her chin on his collarbone.

"Well, yes, sweetie," Carolynn explained casually. "Long before I took you in, back during the height of the nether realm’s sovereign dynasties, I adopted and raised a girl. I was just a fresh, innocent little girl of barely fifty years, my distant royal relatives met an unfortunate end."

"The succession laws forced me to adopt their orphan. Technically speaking, she inherited my direct royal mantle—the legitimate Crown Princess of the demon Realms."

"And where the hell has this royal crown princess been for years?!"

Norelia practically yelled, throwing her hands in the air as she shot up from the cushions. "Why am I only hearing about an older sister right now, when I was already twenty-four?!"

"Oh, don’t get so worked up, Norelia, it’s very tragic," Carolynn sighed theatrically, resting the back of her hand against her brow.

"The conservative high council and the elder demon lords utterly despised her. They vehemently denied her lineage, refused to recognize her royal bloodline rights, and claimed she was an illegitimate abomination unfit for the throne."

"Eventually, the political factions alienated her completely... Me and Lillia had a rather falling out right before the United Humanity War reached its peak."

"A falling out?!" Norelia snapped, her face turning bright red with vein-popping frustration. She stomped over to the sofa, pointing an accusatory finger dead-center between Carolynn’s eyes.

"You secretive old hag! You raised me as a living weapon under excuses, let me run away to be a depressed librarian for years, and you conveniently forgot to mention you had a whole other prototype daughter running the continent?!"

"She wasn’t a prototype, she was just very stubborn!" Carolynn pouted, puffing out her cheeks and burying her face deeper into Eren’s chest to shield herself from Norelia’s wrath. "Eren, tell your little professor to stop bullying her poor, fragile mama!"

Eren stared blankly at the ceiling, utterly detached from the fight currently happening.

The original game’s lore writers definitely smoke cheap things. Because not a single text box, lore item, or hidden questline in his past life had ever mentioned the Demon Queen housing an abandoned, exiled royal daughter. Hell, they didn’t even mention Norelia being her adopted daughter except for Norelia finishing off the berserk demon queen.

Then, the name finally clicked in his head.

’Wait a damn minute...’ Eren’s eyes narrowed.

In the game’s original route, after Seraphina’s mother suffered a horrific execution tied to distribution trials of The Substance, Seraphina swore bloody vengeance against the kingdom. And the figure who had pulled the grieving princess into the demon army was a woman named Lillia.

"Alright, time-out, both of you," Eren groaned, raising a hand to lightly tap the top of Carolynn’s fiery orange head before glancing over at the fuming brunette. "We have enough conspiracies threatening this kingdom, not your family fights."

He turned toward the petite professor. "Though, for the record, I’m siding with Norelia on this one. Keeping a secret about her adopted sister is deadbeat parenting."

"Hmph. Exactly," Norelia huffed, crossing her arms with a self-satisfied pout as she finally dropped back onto the sofa cushions, though she still glared at her adopted mother.

Eren let out a low chuckle, looking down at the pouting succubus squished against his ribs. "Tell me, Vice Principal... exactly how many daughters have you managed to alienate with your parenting techniques over the last three centuries?"

"What am I supposed to do when every single child I adopt turns into a rebellious brat?" Carolynn grumbled defensively, turning her face away with an exaggerated pout.

"Setting aside family therapy for five minutes," Eren steered the conversation back on track, his blue eyes sharpening. "Why would Lillia suddenly revive your banned bio-weapon now? If she was alienated by the high council, what’s her motive for flooding the human realm’s underground?"

Carolynn’s gaze softened, a concern dimming her face. "Even though our parting was bitter... Lillia was never inherently cruel. She was fiercely proud, desperate for validation, and terribly stubborn, but she wasn’t mindless. I cannot fathom her unleashing that poison."

"Oh, please," Norelia chimed in, a petty, vindictive glint in her red eyes. "Every piece of evidence points straight to your precious daughter. Maybe your estranged demon princess is just rotten to the core."

"We can’t jump to conclusions just yet, Professor," Eren intervened. "A motive without context is just bad guesswork. We need actionable intel."

Carolynn sighed heavily.

"I suppose... the only way to unravel this mess is to face the ghost myself," Carolynn murmured, her voice laced with quiet dread. "I need to contact her directly."

Eren looked at her, his fingers gently tracing the soft curve of her jaw to lift her gaze. "Are you really willing to reopen that wound? You haven’t spoken to her in centuries, Carolynn. Doing this just to chase down my lead..."

Carolynn offered him a soft, bittersweet smile, her warm palm coming up to rest over his hand with tender fondness.

"I’m doing it for you, my darling boy... and for the truth," Carolynn whispered. "If my past sins have crawled out of the dark to threaten you and Norelia, I won’t hide behind my guilt anymore. It’s time I finally checked on my daughter."

"Bravo. Truly a moving display of maternal redemption, Mama," Norelia drawled with dry sarcasm.

Getting off the sofa, the petite professor straightened and turned toward Eren, tapping her foot with clear authority.

"Eren, get your lazy ass off that couch. We’re leaving," Norelia commanded, crossing her arms over her flat chest. "You owe me a dinner in my quarters tonight as proper compensation for the psychological trauma of discovering my estranged heritage."

Eren chuckled, about to push the voluptuous burden off his thighs and stand—when two silky arms clamped down around his chest like steel shackles.

"Now, wait just a moment, pretty boy," Carolynn called out.

Tightening her grip around Eren’s waist, the orange-haired succubus squished her generous cleavage against his ribs, tilting her head back to look at her adopted daughter.

"Why leave so abruptly when my quarters are so spacious?" Carolynn offered with an innocent hum. Her eyes sparkled with mischievous warmth. "You two should simply stay the night here with me. I’ll personally cook a lavish feast for all three of us."

Norelia froze mid-step.

Her jaw slackened slightly, a blush rapidly crawling up her neck to the very tips of her ears.

"You... you shameless, old hag!"
