Chapter 46: Chapter 46- The Royal Phantom

Chapter 46- The Royal Phantom

"Move! Move! Don’t look back!"

At the gates of the amusement park, all the people rushed out while the guards and staff tried to organize them and guide them. Even though there were many gates, the number of people trying to exit made it harder to contain them and keep things flowing as intended. However, after several minutes of brutal crowd control, things started moving again as every person finally exited the premises.

At the same time, helicopters arrived at the area along with countless police cars and reporter vans. Everyone heard the breaking news of the attack and didn’t waste a second. The police immediately invaded the area, trying to contain the place and putting up barricades to stop people from getting back in.

"Everyone! Stay back, nobody is allowed to pass the barricade!" A police officer yelled through his microphone.

"My son, sir!! Please, my son is still inside!" A woman yelled as she tried to pass the line of cops guarding the area.

"Please calm down, ma’am. We will do our best to save your son. You must remain there and be patient." He said calmly with a reassuring tone. Meanwhile, the woman broke down into tears as she muttered her son’s name.

"Sir!"

At the same time, a police officer arrived.

"What the hell is happening inside exactly?"

"It’s a terrorist attack, sir. A group of unknown individuals invaded the place with guns and are in the process of killing civilians. We don’t know who they are or their goal yet."

"Terrorists." The man’s expression darkened. ’This city had never had such an incident before. Who the hell are these people?’

"I want you all to make sure every exit is completely guarded. I don’t want them to find a single way out. Then, we will enter the park and take them down."

"Yes, sir!!"

With that, the man turned around, ready to give more orders when suddenly. Everyone turned around as they heard a noise. Then, out of nowhere, they saw a fleet of cars, all white and shiny with symbols on both sides, arrive at the scene.

There were easily 40 of them.

"Look, it’s..."

"The Royal Knights..."

"What are they doing here?!"

"Oh my god... The Royal Knights are here!"

The moment the officer saw the cars, his eyes widened. He knew how utterly confusing it was to see them here. The Royal Knights were the protectors of the Royal Family and its interests; that includes the city borders and any massive threat that could attack it.

However, anything related to the order of business in the city was in the police’s hands. They were responsible for the crimes happening within the city.

"If the Knights are here... Does that mean..."

Before the man could even reach a conclusion, dozens of men and women walked out, all clad in formal Royal attire that exuded their status. Each one of them was an awakened with a lot of expertise and prowess.

The serious looks on their faces made them even more dazzling and intimidating to look at. The pressure everyone felt was palpable as they cut their path through the crowd.

At the very front of them was the person who stole everyone’s eyes. It was a woman, in her late 20s, clad in the same attire, and yet her beauty made everyone’s jaw drop.

She had distinct black hair and black eyes with a perfect face. Her eyes were sharp and deadly, with no emotions in them, and her body would put models to shame. Every curve was perfect, and even though her attire wasn’t revealing, the sexual appeal it gave made every man freeze in his place.

Even the officer could only stare in awe.

"No way..."

"Is that..."

"Surely not..."

"The Royal Phantom!!!"

"It’s the Royal Phantom!!!"

"Oh my god! Miss Yelena!!!"

The entire place erupted in cheers when they saw that woman. She was a celebrity and someone every person in the nation knew. One of the Admirals of the Royal Knights and one of the strongest soldiers they had.

’Yelena... Kravik...’

It didn’t register in his mind that this person was there until she stopped in front of him. When he realized that, he looked up. She was a head taller than him. She stared at him coldly, pressing him down with her presence alone.

"We will take things from here, officer. Take your men out. This is a matter we are responsible for." Yelena said.

"... Ma’am... Why are..."

"Spread and kill them all. If you could catch one of them alive, do. We need to know what happened exactly." Yelena said as she signaled for her men. Instantly, like flashes, they disappeared out of sight at immense speeds, entering the park from every entrance.

She then looked at the officer.

"Focus on keeping people out. We cannot afford more casualties." She said before she walked past him and vanished out of sight.

"Yelena Kravik arrived at the scene... Who... Who is in this park?"

Yelena Kravik wasn’t some nobody. She was one of the most important people in the world, and a very direct servant of the Royal Family. This is by no means a problem she or any other admiral of her status would care about.

That only meant one thing... A person in that park was of such status that Yelena needed to come personally to save them.

’Who could it be?’

*Inside the park*

"Hah... Hah... Hah..." Venera wiped the sweat off her face as she checked her gun. She only had a few more bullets, and God knows how many more attackers were left. Meanwhile, her mind was rushing with thoughts as she checked the time every few seconds.

’The bomb... would be exploding in the next minute or two...’ Venera clenched her teeth as she looked around her. The smell of blood had run so deep into every alley that she could not escape it. It was horrible and nauseating.

"Rize... You better not die." She muttered as she took a turn around the corner, only to see another target in front of her. She stopped and hid quickly.

Then, she aimed her gun at them while remaining silent. Meanwhile, the attacker kept looking left and right in a hurry. He had probably received the info that someone was taking them down one by one, and he wanted to remain vigilant.

Venera tried to calm her nerves and aim carefully. When she felt like she had a good sight... She sucked a deep breath and then...

*Bang*

She pulled the trigger. At that instant, the man suddenly moved out of the way as if he had reacted to something. The bullet missed the target and hit the wall.

’No!’

The man heard the noise as he turned around and started shooting without hesitation. Venera quickly hid behind the wall as the bullets hit the brick, shattering it near her face. One of the shards sliced her cheek as she backed up.

"Dammit..." She cursed as she grabbed her gun and started running.

Meanwhile, the man rushed after her.

*BANG*

Bullets flew all around Venera as she leaped out of sight and rolled on her stomach. She pressed herself against another wall as she checked her bullets again.

’I don’t have the luxury of using them all.’ She said. ’There are still many more around. I need to get him down without bullets...’

Peeking from around the wall, she saw the man aiming his gun at her before he shot again.

’This is such a headache.’
