The King Arrives
Narrator
"Sometimes..."
"A battle is won not by the strongest army..."
"But by the moment when fear changes sides."
"And sometimes..."
"When the person everyone believed was only a child..."
"Finally stands above those who threatened his family..."
"Even silence begins to feel like a command."
The rain had almost completely stopped.
Only a thin mist remained over Restart Village.
Water dripped from the rooftops.
Drip...
Drip...
Drip...
The muddy streets were scattered with broken weapons.
Broken shields.
Dropped swords.
And defeated bandits.
But the greatest change had not happened in the village streets.
It had happened in the eyes of the people.
They were no longer looking at Lazim.
They were looking at V.
The boy stood in the middle of the village.
His white hair moved gently in the cold wind.
His crimson eyes had slowly lost their violent glow.
Yet the pressure around him remained.
The defeated bandits could barely move.
Some were holding their injured arms.
Others had dropped their weapons completely.
Nobody dared to approach him.
Lazim stood several steps away.
His breathing had become uneven.
For the first time since arriving in Restart Village...
He looked genuinely afraid.
Sweat slowly rolled down his forehead.
He looked around.
His men were defeated.
His soldiers were scattered.
The villagers were beginning to recover their courage.
And in the center of everything...
stood V.
Lazim swallowed.
"What..."
"What exactly are you?"
V did not answer.
He simply looked at him.
Then something strange happened.
The shadow beneath V's feet began to move.
Slowly.
Almost unnaturally.
The darkness stretched across the muddy ground.
It expanded behind him.
The villagers watched in complete silence.
The shadow became deeper.
Darker.
Then—
SHIIIIING...
A crimson light appeared inside it.
Something began rising from the darkness.
At first...
It looked like the edge of an enormous structure.
Then another part emerged.
Black.
Crimson.
Covered in strange ancient patterns.
Slowly...
A throne rose from V's shadow.
It was an old royal throne.
Its entire body was black.
Thin crimson lines ran across its surface like veins.
A faint red aura surrounded it.
The throne finally stopped behind V.
The villagers stared.
Nobody spoke.
Even the wind seemed to become quieter.

V didn't turn around.
He didn't even look at the throne.
As if he had already known it was there.
He simply stepped backward...
And sat down.
One leg crossed over the other.
His elbow rested casually against the armrest.
His hand supported his jaw.
He looked completely relaxed.
Almost bored.
The image was terrifying.
A nine-year-old boy...
Sitting upon a dark crimson throne...
Surrounded by defeated enemies.
It didn't look like a child had defeated an army.
It looked like a king had finished judging his enemies.
Lazim's face went pale.
His lips trembled.
"No..."
He took one step backward.
"This..."
His eyes remained fixed on the throne.
"This isn't possible."
V slowly closed his eyes.
He had no interest in explaining anything.
No interest in threatening anyone.
He had simply become tired.
The crimson aura around him slowly weakened.
His breathing became slower.
His head tilted slightly.
Then...
V fell asleep.
Silence.
Complete silence.
One of the villagers whispered:
"Is he..."
"Asleep?"
Nobody answered.
Another villager stared at the throne.
"After defeating all of them..."
"He's actually sleeping?"
A nervous laugh escaped someone.
Then another.
Soon...
The tension began to break.
The villagers looked at one another.
Their fear slowly transformed into disbelief.
And then...
They picked up their weapons.
One farmer lifted his wooden spear.
Another picked up a sword.
A hunter grabbed his bow.
The defeated bandits suddenly realized what was happening.
"W-Wait!"
"Don't!"
"Stay back!"
But the villagers were no longer afraid.
The tables had turned.
Within moments...
The villagers surrounded the remaining bandits.
Weapons pointed toward them from every direction.
Lazim looked around helplessly.
His men had lost.
His plan had collapsed.
And the person who had destroyed everything...
was sleeping.
The Family Returns
Brald had been watching V the entire time.
Something about the throne bothered him.
Not because it frightened him.
But because it felt familiar.
A strange sensation passed through his body.
Brald's eyes narrowed.
"What is this feeling...?"
Then his gaze moved toward Lily.
Lily understood immediately.
Brald gave her a small gesture.
Take him inside.
Lily nodded.
She walked toward V.
T followed closely behind her.
"V..."
Lily gently touched his shoulder.
V opened one eye.
His crimson gaze met hers.
The terrifying presence around him disappeared almost instantly.
His expression softened.
"Mom..."
Lily smiled.
"Come on."
"You need to rest."
V looked around once.
The villagers were safe.
The bandits were surrounded.
Brald was standing.
Lily was beside him.
T was safe.
That was enough.
V slowly stood.
The crimson throne behind him began fading.
Its red aura disappeared.
The black structure slowly sank back into his shadow.
Until...
There was nothing left.
Only V's ordinary shadow remained.
Lily placed an arm around him.
T held his other hand.
"Come on, brother."
V yawned.
"Okay..."
The three of them walked toward their house.
Behind them...
The villagers watched silently.
The boy who had just looked like a terrifying king...
was now walking home between his mother and little sister.
It was almost impossible to believe they were the same person.
Inside the house...
Lily carefully placed V onto his bed.
His eyes were already closing.
T sat beside him.
She gently held his hand.
"Brother..."
V barely opened his eyes.
"I'm here."
T smiled.
Lily sat on the other side.
She slowly brushed V's wet hair away from his forehead.
For a few moments...
Nobody spoke.
Outside...
The village was slowly returning to life.
Villagers tied up the defeated bandits.
Others checked the wounded.
Someone began repairing a broken door.
Someone else gathered the scattered weapons.
A few children cautiously looked from behind their parents.
And then...
A strange sound echoed from the village.
Laughter.
Small at first.
Then louder.
The village had survived.
But nobody knew...
that another force was already approaching.
Far beyond the village...
A large army was moving through the mountains.
One thousand soldiers.
Their armor reflected the pale morning light.
Horses moved across the mountain road.
The sound of thousands of footsteps and hooves echoed through the valleys.
At the front...
rode the King of the Holy Kingdom.
Beside him...
rode Maelis Vorne.
And slightly behind...
was Alistair.
The Shadow Hunter.
Alistair looked toward the distant horizon.
Restart Village was getting closer.
His expression remained calm.
But his eyes carried urgency.
The King noticed.
"You are worried."
Alistair looked toward him.
"I am."
"About the village?"
"About what we may find when we arrive."
The King remained silent.
The mountains slowly opened before them.
Then...
A familiar figure appeared on the highest ridge ahead.
Alistair suddenly pulled the reins.
The King raised his hand.
The entire army stopped.
Horses breathed heavily.
Armor shifted.
The wind passed through the mountains.
Then a voice echoed from above.
"Lazim..."
"Stop."
Everyone looked upward.
On top of the mountain...
stood Alistair.
No.
Not alone.
The King of the Holy Kingdom stood beside him.
Behind them...
one thousand soldiers waited.
The villagers stared upward.
Lazim's face lost what little color remained.
"No..."
His voice was barely audible.
"How..."
The King looked down upon the village.
His eyes moved across the captured bandits.
Then toward Lazim.
His expression became cold.
"Take them."
He raised his hand.
"One hundred soldiers."
"Move."
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The soldiers immediately advanced.
Their formation was perfect.
The remaining bandits tried to resist.
But they were exhausted.
Surrounded.
Outnumbered.
Within moments...
they were completely restrained.
Chains were placed around their wrists.
Weapons were confiscated.
The villagers watched in silence.
Then Alistair dismounted.
His black horse touched the muddy ground.
THUD.
He walked forward.
Brald stepped out from the crowd.
For a moment...
the two men simply looked at each other.
Then Alistair smiled.
Brald walked toward him.
And the two old friends embraced.
Brald's voice was quiet.
"Your plan worked."
Alistair smiled.
"It had to."
Brald stepped back.
"Lily and T..."
His eyes moved toward the house.
"They were never kidnapped."
Alistair nodded.
"I know."
Brald let out a quiet breath.
"We only needed to make everyone believe they were."
Alistair looked toward the villagers.
"It gave them something else to fear."
Brald nodded.
"And while everyone searched for Lily and T..."
"The pressure on the contract disappeared for a while."
"Exactly."
A faint smile appeared on Alistair's face.
"It bought us time."
Brald looked at him.
"Thank you."
Alistair shook his head.
"You don't need to thank me."
He placed a hand on Brald's shoulder.
"You trusted me with the plan."
"And you protected the village."
For a moment...
neither man spoke.
The sound of chains being fastened could be heard behind them.
Then Lazim was brought forward.
His hands were bound.
His face was filled with anger and fear.
A royal soldier stepped toward the King.
"Your Majesty."
"Lazim has been captured."
The King looked at him.
"Take him into royal custody."
The soldiers moved.
But before they could take Lazim away...
Brald stepped forward.
"Your Majesty."
The King turned.
Brald bowed.
"I have one request."
The King waited.
"Allow me to question him first."
A brief silence followed.
Lazim's eyes moved toward Brald.
For the first time...
he understood something.
The man he had tried to break...
was now standing before a king.
And this time...
Lazim was the one without power.
Brald looked directly into his eyes.
"I have questions."
"Many of them."
The King studied Brald for several seconds.
Then he gave a small nod.
"Very well."
"But after that..."
His gaze became cold.
"Lazim will answer to the Holy Kingdom."
Brald bowed.
"Understood, Your Majesty."
The wind passed through Restart Village.
The clouds slowly began to separate.
A thin ray of sunlight fell upon the muddy streets.
For the first time that day...
the darkness began to retreat.
But inside the White family house...
V continued sleeping peacefully.
Unaware that his brief awakening had changed the atmosphere of the entire village.
And unaware...
that the arrival of the Holy King would soon bring another truth to the surface.
Narrator
"A throne can be made of gold..."
"Or it can rise from a shadow."
"But a true ruler is not decided by the throne beneath him."
"It is decided..."
"By what he chooses to protect."
"And while kings arrived with armies..."
"One exhausted child slept peacefully..."
"Because, for the first time that day..."
"His family was safe."
