The Narrator
Have you ever wondered...
How a single child could change the fate of an entire world?
Then listen carefully.
For this is not the tale of a hero blessed by destiny...
It is the story of a child...
Abandoned by destiny itself.
---
Far beyond the reach of ordinary men stood the towering mountains of the Kingdom of Showd, the ancient homeland of the Dwarves.
Massive stone peaks pierced the endless sea of clouds, their snow-covered summits glowing beneath the first light of dawn. Cold mountain winds whistled through the cliffs, carrying the distant echoes of hammers striking anvils deep within the dwarven kingdom.
From the heart of those sacred mountains...
A crystal-clear river was born.
Its waters shimmered beneath the morning sun like flowing glass, sparkling with countless rays of light as it rushed over smooth stones. Every ripple carried the blessings of the ancient mountains, beginning an endless journey across the continent.
The gentle murmur of the river echoed through valleys and forests alike...
A sound that had never ceased for thousands of years.
The river flowed through the proud Kingdom of Spades, where magnificent cities flourished along its banks.
Grand bridges stretched across the water.
Merchant ships sailed peacefully with the current.
Children laughed along the riverbanks while travelers rested beneath its shade.
To the people...
The river was life itself.
But...
Its peaceful journey did not last forever.
Beyond the kingdom's borders...
There existed a place where even sunlight feared to linger.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The...
Death Forest.
Ancient trees clawed toward the heavens like the hands of forgotten giants.
Their twisted branches blocked the sky, leaving the forest trapped beneath an endless twilight.
Black mist drifted silently between the roots.
Every gust of wind carried strange whispers.
The air itself felt unnaturally heavy...
As though countless unseen eyes watched every living thing that entered.
Somewhere in the darkness...
A beast growled.
Leaves rustled.
Branches snapped.
Then silence returned once again.
Countless monsters...
Savage magical beasts...
And creatures whose names had vanished from history...
Called this cursed forest their home.
As the river forced its way through the endless darkness...
It absorbed the corruption of the forest.
Its once crystal-clear water slowly darkened.
The sparkling surface became dull.
The current carried traces of the forest's ancient curse.
Not poisonous...
But no longer fit for human life.
Yet...
Hope always finds a place to bloom.
Beyond the Death Forest stood a small village.
Simple wooden houses rested beside the river.
Smoke rose peacefully from their chimneys.
Children laughed as they ran through the muddy paths.
The warm ringing of bells echoed softly through the quiet air.
It was a peaceful place known as...
Restart Village.
For generations...
Its people had protected an ancient tradition.
Using sacred purification rituals passed down through countless generations...
They cleansed the corrupted river and restored it to its original purity.
Golden light gently spread across the water whenever the ritual was performed.
The darkness dissolved little by little...
Until the river shone once again like liquid crystal.
Only after passing through Restart Village did the river continue its journey...
Flowing toward the Holy Kingdom...
Then the majestic Kingdom of Heart...
Before reaching countless other kingdoms, towns, and villages across the continent.
Millions unknowingly depended upon the people of this humble village.
It was because the river was given a new beginning there...
That the village earned the name...
Restart Village.
...
But destiny...
Rarely announces its arrival with light.
---
One stormy night...
Dark clouds swallowed the moon whole.
The sky trembled beneath endless thunder.
Cold rain poured relentlessly upon the Kingdom of Spades, drumming against rooftops, cliffs, and riverbanks.
Tap...
Tap...
TAP...
Soon...
The gentle rain became a roaring storm.
The river surged with terrifying force.
Wild waves crashed against the rocks.
The current howled like a furious beast.
Thunder shattered the silence.
BOOOOM!!
For a single heartbeat...
A bolt of lightning split the heavens apart.
Its blinding white light illuminated the darkness...
Before the night swallowed everything once again.
Then...
A lone shadow emerged near the raging riverbank.
Its face remained completely hidden beneath a dark cloak.
Not a single feature could be seen.
Rainwater slid from the edge of the hood.
The figure stood silently against the violent storm...
As though untouched by the freezing wind.
Cradled carefully within both arms...
Was a small cloth bundle.
Without hesitation...
The mysterious figure slowly knelt beside the overflowing river.
Inside the bundle...
Was a newborn baby.
Wrapped tightly in worn white cloth.
The tiny child's face was peaceful.
Despite the roaring storm...
Despite the freezing rain...
Despite the terrifying river...
The baby did not cry.
The tiny infant simply slept peacefully...
Completely unaware...
That the world itself had already rejected its existence.
The cloaked figure remained motionless.
Not a word.
Not a farewell.
Not even a final glance.
Only silence...
Broken by the endless sound of rain...
And the furious roar of the river.
Then...
With one gentle push...
The cloth bundle drifted onto the raging current.
The river immediately carried the newborn away.
Farther...
And farther...
The tiny bundle disappeared into the endless darkness.
For a brief moment...
Another flash of lightning illuminated the river.
The child could still be seen floating through the storm.
Then...
Darkness consumed everything once again.
The mysterious figure never moved.
It simply watched...
Until both the child...
And the river...
Vanished into the night.
Moments later...
The shadow itself turned around...
And slowly disappeared into the pouring rain...
Leaving behind no footprints.
No name.
No trace.
Only silence.
The river continued to flow...
As if nothing had ever happened.
But fate...
Had already begun writing the very first page...
Of a legend...
That would one day shake the entire world.
