Chapter 446 - 445- Old Friend (2)

A slight smile tugged at the corners of Grey’s gloomy expression. The Minotaur before him was a huge creature standing over ten meters tall. Its entire body was covered in cracks, with dark veins running across its flesh.

Two enormous horns protruded from its head, curling upward menacingly. In its hands was a broken, blood-colored axe that reeked of blood.

It gave off an intimidating pressure that only experts at the peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm could emit.

But instead of feeling afraid, Grey’s smile only widened.

A distant memory resurfaced in his mind.

More than two years ago, when Grey had first awakened, he had been in a battered and severely wounded state. If he had not discovered the purple crystal and fused it into his body, he would surely have died.

Yet the reason for his grievous injuries had been that Minotaur-like creature within the Corroded Zone.

At the time, Grey had only been at the Second Level of the Qi Accumulation Realm. He had been completely incapable of fighting against such a terrifying creature. Thus, despite his unwillingness, Grey had been forced to abandon his attempt to hunt and kill the creature that had nearly led to his death.

However, seeing a being similar to that Minotaur standing before him now, Grey couldn’t help but reveal a hollow smile.

His killing intent was suddenly aroused.

An intense desire to kill this creature surged through his body.

The Minotaur also sensed Grey’s bloodlust.

It released a low roar before charging toward him. Its enormous body moved with surprising speed, and powerful air currents were created with every step it took.

The Minotaur raised its bloody axe and swung it toward Grey.

But Grey was not slow either. He also charged forward.

Without using any techniques or spells, Grey simply threw a punch.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion erupted and he was sent skidding backward several feet, while the Minotaur remained completely unmoved.

That single strike had let Grey know that in terms of brute physical strength, the Minotaur was far above him.

It immediately raised its axe and slashed downward. The enormous weapon was nearly as tall as Grey himself as it descended toward him with terrifying momentum.

The Minotaur covered the distance Grey had been pushed back in an instant, catching up to him before the bloody axe came cleaving down.

Grey’s eyes narrowed and he threw another punch.

Boom!

A powerful air cannon shot forward and slammed into the Minotaur. Its flesh and blood visibly collapsed under the tremendous force, yet the attack did little to damage its massive physique.

The Minotaur continued forward without slowing down and once again swung its axe at Grey.

Seeing that his punches were having almost no effect and that he was at a disadvantage in terms of physical strength, Grey immediately relied on his superior speed.

His body shifted sideways, narrowly dodging the falling blade. The axe missed him by only a few inches.

Even so, several strands of Grey’s hair were sliced off and fluttered toward the ground.

Grey’s eyes narrowed into slits.

His body suddenly moved in a zigzag pattern as he circled around the Minotaur.

As he moved, Grey continuously released poison powder from his hand. The poison powder scattered through the air, slowly surrounding the Minotaur.

Yet Grey didn’t stop. He continued moving until he finally closed the distance between them.

Then, he raised his hand. And a single fireball shot forward.

Boom!

The explosion engulfed the Minotaur.

However, when the flames dispersed, Grey’s expression remained unchanged.

The fireball had done almost nothing. Aside from slightly scorching its skin, it had failed to cause any meaningful damage.

If it were another person, seeing their attacks rendered nearly useless would likely have caused them to consider retreating.

But Grey had no such thoughts.

Instead, with every passing second, he became increasingly certain that he could kill the Minotaur.

Although its physical strength far surpassed his own, Grey had yet to reveal his full abilities.

He was still holding back.

"Purple sword..."

Grey’s voice was calm. The moment his words fell, a huge purple sword suddenly appeared behind him.

An invisible figure with a blurry face stood behind the sword, gripping its hilt.

The enormous purple sword suddenly descended.

At the same time, Grey’s hands rapidly formed a series of hand signs.

His pupils suddenly flashed with purple light. A purple phantom emerged from his body.

The phantom possessed the same general shape as Grey, but its hair was considerably longer, completely covering its face. Its arms were also abnormally long, extending far beyond what was normal for a human.

Its hands almost touched the ground.

The instant the purple sword slashed downward, the purple phantom swayed.

It attacked at the same time.

The purple sword descended with terrifying momentum, releasing a blinding purple light that shot toward the Minotaur.

At almost the exact same moment, the purple phantom appeared before the Minotaur and assumed a strange stance, preparing to punch.

Grey’s body also turned into a blur as he charged forward.

The purple sword light arrived first. In an instant, it descended toward the hulking Minotaur.

However, the Minotaur reacted quickly and raised its bloody axe above its head, blocking the domineering purple sword light.

Boom!

The collision produced a deafening explosion.

The Minotaur’s arms trembled beneath the tremendous force, but it stubbornly held its ground.

Its attention was completely focused on blocking the sword light. That was when the purple phantom appeared. Its fist shot forward.

Bang!

The Minotaur’s flesh caved inward. Another punch followed.

Bang!

Another portion of its flesh collapsed. The purple phantom unleashed a barrage of punches, each one landing with frightening precision.

With every strike, muffled explosions rang out as the Minotaur’s enormous body was repeatedly battered.

And then Grey’s attack followed.

He appeared beside the Minotaur like a ghost, a small dagger already held tightly in his hand.

His eyes were cold.

His killing intent was almost tangible. The dagger pierced directly into the Minotaur’s body. Barely a fractjon of a second had passed when Grey violently pulled the blade sideways before stabbing it back into the creature’s flesh.

Puff!

Blood sprayed through the air and splattered in all directions. Including falling on his body. Another bloody hole appeared, but Grey didn’t stop.

He repeatedly stabbed and slashed, each strike becoming increasingly ruthless. His movements were precise and merciless.

Another hole appeared. Then another... and then another.

The Minotaur roared furiously as it struggled to defend itself against the three simultaneous attacks.

Above it, the enormous purple sword shadow continued pressing downward. Before it, the strange purple phantom relentlessly unleashed its fists.

And from the side, Grey’s dagger repeatedly pierced through its flesh. This was Grey’s pincer attack against the Minotaur.

The creature had superior physical strength, but at this moment, it was completely suppressed.

And Grey had only just begun to reveal his true strength.
