Chapter 3706: Spears That Would One Day Make The Realms Tremble!Chapter 3706: Spears That Would One Day Make The Realms Tremble!
The legs lay neatly arranged on one side, each one carefully separated and refined, their joints removed and their forms smoothed into straight, usable segments. On the other side lay the abdomen, no longer a single structure but divided into numerous fist sized pieces.
These fragments carried the same dense spatial energy, waiting to be shaped and repurposed. The components were now ready and the next phase could begin.
Assembly.
At first glance, it seemed like it would be simpler than what they had already accomplished. The hardest part, after all, had been separating and preparing the materials. Now they only needed to put them together.
That assumption did not last long.
Lin Mu stepped forward and picked up the first of the longer legs. He began by arranging them in descending order, selecting pieces that would fit within one another based on their thickness and length. One by one, he attempted to insert them, testing how they aligned.
The fit was imperfect and there were significant gaps.
He extended his Spatial Perception, examining the interior structure. The space between the inserted segments varied in size, some areas tighter than others, but overall, there was more than enough room to accommodate additional material.
"That will not be an issue," he said.
The elders nodded.
They had anticipated as much.
Lin Mu removed the inserted legs and reached for one of the abdomen fragments. He held it in his hand, feeling the dense spatial energy within it, and then activated Meld.
The process was slow, far slower than anything he had done before. The fragment resisted his influence, its structure remaining rigid despite his attempts to reshape it. Lin Mu focused, adjusting his approach, coaxing it rather than forcing.
An hour passed.
Then another.
Finally, the fragment began to respond.
It softened.
Not in the sense of becoming liquid, but in the way that glass is considered a liquid over long periods of time. It retained its form, yet it could be influenced, stretched, and guided under sustained pressure.
Lin Mu exhaled softly.
"This will work."
With careful movements, he guided the softened fragment into the hollow interior of the first leg. The process was painstakingly slow. The material flowed reluctantly, moving only as fast as his control allowed.
Hours passed.
The fragment spread within the leg, filling the internal space. Once it was in place, Lin Mu maintained the Meld skill and picked up the next segment. Aligning it carefully, he began to insert it into the first.
Resistance met him immediately.
The abdomen material shifted under pressure, but it did not yield easily. Lin Mu had to apply significant force, pushing the segments together while simultaneously guiding the internal material to distribute evenly. Without his body cultivation and Gravity Dao Embryo applying additional force he might not have been able to do this.
Not to mention, the process demanded complete concentration. A single mistake could disrupt the balance, creating uneven distribution that would compromise the structure. As such a single segment took an entire week.
After seven days of continuous effort they could finally rest for a brief moment. And when it was finally complete, Lin Mu stepped back, his breathing steady but his mind fully engaged.
"Again," he said after he felt rested enough.
The process repeated.
Insert.
Fill.
Guide.
Compress.
Stabilize.
Each step required time and each step demanded precision as days turned into weeks once more.
Then into a full month.
At the end of it, the first spear stood before them.
It was not yet refined in its final form, but its structure was complete. The segments had been successfully combined into a single, continuous weapon. Its length was imposing, its surface smooth, and its presence carried a subtle distortion that hinted at the power contained within it.
Lin Mu rested for a single day.
That was all he allowed himself.
Then they began again.
The second spear followed the same process. By now, they had gained experience, their coordination smoother and their execution more efficient. Even so, the work remained demanding, and it took another month before the second spear reached the same stage as the first.
Both stood side by side.
They were incomplete, yet already extraordinary.
Now came the final shaping.
Lin Mu examined the remaining abdomen fragments. There were only a few left, but they were more than sufficient for what he had in mind.
He began with the handle.
Using Meld, he softened the material and shaped it around the shaft of the spear. He created subtle bulges at intervals, ensuring that his grip would remain secure even under intense movement. He added grooves along the surface, each one carefully formed to provide better control and stability.
The process required finesse and every adjustment had to be precise.
Once the handle was complete, he moved to the base of the spear. There, he formed a cap, reinforcing the end and shaping it into a spiked tip. This addition served both as a counterbalance and as an additional point of attack, allowing the spear to be used effectively from either end.
He repeated the same process for the second spear, ensuring that both weapons shared the same structure and balance. And when he was finished, he stepped back. The elders gathered around, their eyes fixed upon the results.
Two spears stood before them.
They were not adorned with runes.
They carried no external enhancements.
Yet their presence alone was enough to make the Dao Forge hum faintly, as if acknowledging their existence.
The surface of each spear gleamed with a subtle sheen, reflecting light in a way that hinted at the spatial energy contained within. Their form was elegant, their balance perfect, and their potential immeasurable.
Lin Mu reached out and picked one up.
’Feels right... Complete.’ He thought.
The second remained beside it, awaiting the hand it was meant for.
And in that moment, within the depths of the Dao Forge, two weapons had been born.
Weapons that would one day make even the realms themselves tremble.
