Chapter 3709: Power Of Collapse

Chapter 3709: Power Of Collapse

Lin Mu continued experimenting for a while longer, slowly increasing his movements. Soon the area around him was filled with countless fleeting cracks in space, each one appearing and disappearing like wounds carved into reality itself.

Eventually, Lin Mu stopped.

He wanted to test the raw destructive capability of the spear next.

His gaze swept across the drifting asteroid field until he found a suitable target.

An asteroid roughly one hundred meters wide floated silently nearly two kilometers away. Its surface was rough and uneven, composed mostly of dark metallic stone.

Lin Mu raised Collapse slowly.

Then he infused a stream of ordinary immortal Qi into the spear.

The reaction surprised him immediately.

SHUA

The moment the immortal Qi entered the spear, it transformed.

The ordinary energy became Spatial Qi naturally within the weapon itself.

Lin Mu blinked.

He inspected the process carefully through his connection with the spear and realized the transformation was automatic. Collapse itself converted all compatible energy into refined Spatial Qi.

"That is incredible..." one of the elders whispered.

Lin Mu became curious.

If the spear could convert ordinary immortal Qi into Spatial Qi, then perhaps he could draw it back out afterward and absorb it for cultivation.

That alone would be heaven defying.

Spatial Qi was difficult to cultivate naturally and far rarer than ordinary immortal Qi. If the spear could continuously refine it for him, the benefits would be absurd.

Lin Mu immediately tested the idea.

He attempted to draw the converted Spatial Qi back from the spear. But nothing happened, the energy remained firmly locked within the weapon.

He tried again with more force.

Still nothing.

"Tch~" Lin Mu clicked his tongue softly. "A shame," he muttered.

The elders looked confused.

Lin Mu explained his thoughts briefly, causing several of them to stare at him speechlessly.

"You wanted to use a spear capable of destroying worlds as a Spatial Qi converter?" the Fireforge elder asked incredulously.

Lin Mu shrugged lightly.

"It would have been useful."

The elders burst into laughter.

Only Lin Mu would think of something like that moments after creating one of the greatest weapons they had ever seen. Still, if the spear could do that, its value would increase immensely.

While Lin Mu could now refine Spatial Qi on his own, it still took a lot of effort and time to do so. Plus, it consumed a lot of Immortal Qi as well and it was not a one-to-one conversion ratio like it did with the Spear, right now.

If he could reabsorb this converted Spatial Qi, he could easily cultivate a lot faster. The Dwarf Elders were unaware of his thoughts and kept on laughing for a whole minute. But once the laughter subsided, Lin Mu focused again.

He lowered his stance slightly before drawing his arm back.

Then he hurled Collapse forward.

BOOM!

The instant the spear left his hand, space itself exploded outward behind it.

The elders could barely follow its movement.

One moment the spear was beside Lin Mu.

The next moment it had already pierced through the asteroid.

There was no resistance whatsoever.

The asteroid split cleanly apart before the spear continued onward, flying another ten kilometers through space like a streak of silver light.

Only then did it finally stop under Lin Mu’s control. If he had not stopped it, the spear would have probably traveled endlessly due to its momentum unless stopped. Watching this, the dwarven elders stared at the destroyed asteroid in silence.

A perfectly circular hole passed through its center.

There were no shattered fragments from impact.

No explosive destruction.

The spear had simply erased everything along its path.

Lin Mu himself was equally stunned.

The power exceeded his expectations greatly.

He then extended his hand, intending to recall the spear.

But what happened next shocked everyone present.

SHUA

Collapse vanished!

There was no flight trajectory.

No movement.

It simply disappeared.

A moment later it reappeared directly within Lin Mu’s hand. Seeing this, the elders’ eyes widened. Lin Mu stared at the spear blankly as well.

"Did..." the Mountain Dwarf elder began slowly, "...did it just teleport?"

Lin Mu could only nod uncertainly. He had not consciously activated Blink. The spear itself had somehow responded to his intention automatically.

His mind raced immediately.

An idea surfaced.

Without hesitation, Lin Mu activated Blink while holding Collapse.

SHUA

The result stunned him.

Normally his Blink covered only a limited distance in a single use. Yet this time the surrounding space folded far more deeply around him. In an instant, Lin Mu appeared beside the destroyed asteroid nearly two kilometers away.

The elders all turned toward him sharply.

Lin Mu’s eyes widened slightly.

"That distance..." he muttered.

He could feel the difference clearly.

The spear had amplified the effect of Blink itself.

Excitement rose within him.

He immediately tested it again.

This time he pushed harder, trying to travel as far as his immortal sense could reach.

Space twisted violently around him.

Then he vanished once more.

When Lin Mu reappeared, he found himself nearly ten kilometers away.

That was the maximum range of his immortal sense.

He stared into the distance thoughtfully while gripping Collapse tightly.

This was not merely amplification. The spear was directly resonating with his spatial abilities and it was strengthening them fundamentally. Lin Mu quickly checked the Qi consumption afterward.

His expression became thoughtful.

The total Qi cost was not actually reduced. In terms of expenditure, the spear simply allowed him to condense multiple Blink usages into one larger movement.

Still, that alone was extraordinary.

A single long range spatial jump during combat could completely change the flow of battle.

Especially for someone like him.

The dwarven elders finally flew toward him, their expressions filled with disbelief and excitement.

The Rune Dwarf elder spoke first.

"This weapon..." he said slowly, "...it has already surpassed our expectations."

Lin Mu looked at Collapse again.

The spear remained quiet within his hand, yet he could feel the terrifying power hidden inside it.

And this...

Was only the beginning of what it could do.
