"But then..."

Mist King’s expression became both helpless and amused.

"...you completely ignored every custom. You didn’t speak to their father. You didn’t speak to the elders. You didn’t even wait for the engagement ceremony. You simply let your temper take over and created a spectacle in front of everyone."

The Sand King let out a long sigh.

"I wasn’t angry because the marriages had been arranged. I was angry because you turned what should have been a proud day for both our families into the biggest joke of the year."

The younger daughter immediately covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.

"It wasn’t just our two packs," she said with a teasing grin. "Every neighboring pack heard the story. They all laughed at Father and Grandfather for raising such an impatient future Alpha."

The elder daughter lowered her head again, her face turning bright red with embarrassment.

Only then did Vikram fully understand why his grandfather had beaten him in public that day.

It had been because, through his own impulsiveness, he had humiliated both kings and made them the laughingstock of the Southern Argenti Forest.

Vikram remained silent for a long moment before letting out a helpless laugh.

"So that’s what really happened..."

The Mist King smiled.

"Exactly..I wanted you to discover the answer yourself. If I had simply told you back then, you wouldn’t have understood. You had to leave... to learn what it truly means to bear responsibility."

Vikram nodded slowly..Only now did he realize how childish he had been in the past. He had believed strength alone was enough to become a king. But true leaders didn’t solve every problem through anger or violence.

Sometimes... they simply endured.

Seeing Vikram’s expression, the Mist King smiled with satisfaction.

"It seems your journey wasn’t in vain."

The Sand King chuckled from the side before taking a sip from his wooden cup.

"I told you months ago that the boy would figure it out eventually."

The Mist King laughed. "And you were right."

The two old kings exchanged amused glances, making Vikram feel even more embarrassed.

He rubbed the back of his head helplessly.."...You two planned all of this, didn’t you?"

The Sand King burst into hearty laughter. "We’re old... not foolish. If two stubborn old wolves can settle their differences... then surely one reckless pup could eventually grow up."

Even the Mist King couldn’t suppress a smile.

The Sand King suddenly set his cup down.

The smile on his face slowly widened.

"Now then... if all misunderstandings have finally been cleared..."

He looked toward the Mist King.

"...there’s still one unfinished matter between our two packs."

The Mist King nodded knowingly.

"There is."

Vikram blinked. "What unfinished matter?"

The two old kings exchanged another glance before simultaneously looking toward him. "The wedding."

The single word stunned Vikram. He turned instinctively toward the two young women standing beside the Sand King.

Both daughters immediately lowered their heads. A faint blush spread across their beautiful faces. The elder daughter tried to remain composed, but the tips of her ears had already turned crimson.

The younger daughter was even worse. She refused to meet Vikram’s eyes altogether, nervously twisting the edge of her sleeve with both hands.

Seeing their reactions... Vikram couldn’t help smiling.

There was no longer any reason to delay.

The Mist King struck the floor once with the butt of his staff.

"Then let it be announced."

His powerful voice echoed throughout the hall.

"Three days from now... the Mist Pack shall celebrate the union between Vikram and the daughters of the Sand King."

---

The news spread through the Mist Pack faster than wildfire.

By sunset, every household in the village had already heard the announcement. Cheers erupted throughout the settlement. The long-awaited marriage between the future Alpha of the Mist Pack and the princesses of the Sand Pack had finally become reality.

Messengers were immediately dispatched to every allied pack. Within days, warriors, elders, and guests from every corner of the Southern Argenti Forest began arriving. The usually quiet village transformed into a sea of celebration.

Massive bonfires were built throughout the settlement. Fresh game filled the roasting pits. Barrels of fruit wine were rolled into the village square. Children ran excitedly through the streets while elderly werewolves smiled knowingly, remembering weddings from generations past.

The entire Mist Pack radiated an atmosphere of joy.

---

On the morning of the ceremony, the village gathered before the Sacred Flame, the eternal fire said to have burned since the founding of the Southern Argenti werewolves.

Both kings stood at its side. The elders formed a great circle around the flame, chanting blessings in the ancient werewolf tongue.

Vikram stepped forward first. Dressed in ceremonial armor woven from silver wolf fur and black leather, he carried himself with the confidence expected of the future king.

Moments later, the two daughters of the Sand King emerged.

A collective gasp swept through the gathered crowd.

Unlike human brides, the princesses wore elegant ceremonial garments crafted from white beast fur embroidered with silver thread. Delicate ornaments carved from spirit jade rested upon their hair, while necklaces fashioned from polished beast fangs symbolized courage, loyalty, and the blessing of the Moon Goddess.

Even Vikram found himself momentarily speechless.

The younger princess noticed immediately. A mischievous smile appeared on her lips. The elder princess quietly elbowed her sister before lowering her gaze once more, trying to hide her embarrassment.

The ceremony itself followed the oldest traditions of the Southern Argenti werewolves.

Standing before the Sacred Flame, Vikram clasped each bride’s hand in turn and solemnly swore to protect them, stand beside them through every battle, and never abandon them while life remained within him.

In return, both sisters vowed to share his burdens, safeguard the honor of their family, and remain by his side whether he became king... or fell in battle.

As the final vow was completed... The Sacred Flame suddenly flared several meters into the sky.

The elders smiled. "The ancestors have accepted the union."

Thunderous cheers erupted throughout the village.

The Mist King threw back his head and laughed louder than anyone. The Sand King wasn’t far behind. The two old rivals embraced one another like brothers before raising large cups of fruit wine.

"To the next generation! To the future of the Mist Pack!"

Thousands of warriors echoed the toast.

The celebration lasted from sunrise until the stars filled the night sky. Music, laughter, and dancing continued around countless bonfires scattered throughout the village.

---

Late that evening, as the festivities gradually began to settle, Vikram finally found a moment alone with his two new wives.

The younger princess folded her arms, puffing out her cheeks as she looked at him.

"So..." She tilted her head with a playful grin.

"Tonight... I want to be first."

The elder sister’s face instantly turned bright red.

"Sister!"

She whispered urgently.

"Don’t say things like that!"

The younger princess merely laughed, completely unfazed.

"What? We’re both married to him now. I’m just saying what I’m thinking."

She looked back at Vikram expectantly.

"So?"

Vikram looked at her mischievous smile before glancing at her flustered elder sister. Unable to hold back a chuckle, he nodded.

"Alright. I’ll grant your request."

The younger princess immediately celebrated her victory with a triumphant smile.

"I knew you’d agree."

Meanwhile, the elder sister covered her burning face, wishing the ground would swallow her whole as laughter echoed around them.

---

The celebrations within the Mist Pack lasted for an entire week.

Warriors from every allied pack remained behind, filling the village with laughter, drinking contests, sparring matches, and grand feasts that continued late into each night. For the first time in many years, the Southern Argenti Forest experienced a rare moment of peace.

When the final guests eventually departed, the village gradually returned to its normal rhythm.

---

Far to the west... Beyond countless mountains and rivers... Another banner fluttered proudly above a massive fortress.

Unlike the villages of the eastern alliance, this place had been built for war. Watchtowers lined the towering wooden walls. Thousands of armored werewolves trained relentlessly within the fortress, their synchronized battle cries echoing across the surrounding plains.

Standing atop the highest tower was a young figure with jet-black hair and piercing golden eyes.

Their sharp gaze overlooked the vast territory beneath their rule.

Dozens of banners bearing different pack emblems now flew beneath a single black standard. Each represented a defeated or conquered pack.

"My King."

A scout landed lightly upon the tower before kneeling respectfully.

"The latest reports from the east have arrived."

Without turning around, the young ruler replied,

"Speak."

"The eastern alliance continues to expand. Their leader has already united nearly one-third of the Southern Argenti Forest."

For the first time, the young ruler’s expression changed.

"Oh?"

They slowly turned around.

"And this ruler’s name?"

"Vikram. The Silver Alpha of the Mist Pack."

The scout hesitated before continuing.

"They say he defeated countless evolved zombies... rescues endangered packs... and has gained the loyalty of every territory under his banner."

The young ruler remained silent.

After a long moment...

A faint smile slowly appeared on their face.

"So... there really is someone capable of matching my pace."

They walked toward the edge of the tower. Below them stretched an endless sea of warriors. Every one of them had followed this ruler through countless battles. Every one of them believed they would become the sole ruler of the Southern Argenti Forest.

Drawing a black greatsword from their back, they rested it against their shoulder.

"I was beginning to think this forest had already become boring."

Their smile widened.

"But it seems... fate has prepared a worthy rival."

They lifted the sword and pointed it toward the eastern horizon.

"The Southern Argenti Forest... needs only one king."

The gathered warriors immediately raised their weapons.

"Long live the King!"

"Long live the King!"

"Long live the King!"

The thunderous roar shook the fortress.

---

Several days later... The same report arrived in the east.

Inside the council hall, Vikram quietly studied the newly updated map spread across the table.

A scout pointed toward the western region.

"My King. Over the past several months, a single ruler has united nearly one-third of the western territories. They have defeated every Alpha who challenged them. Most packs have already sworn loyalty to them."

Another elder frowned.

"It seems their ambition rivals our own."

Vikram remained silent.

His eyes stayed fixed on the map.

Between the eastern alliance... and the western kingdom... only one vast region remained unconquered.

The Central Territory.

A land occupied by countless independent packs, dangerous mutant beasts, and the largest concentration of zombies in the entire Southern Argenti Forest.

Whoever claimed that land... would stand above every other ruler in the south.

Vikram slowly rolled up the map.

"So..." He looked toward the western horizon.

"Our paths are finally about to cross."
