There was an incident once. In a tribe where most of its men were dead, the women are promiscuous.

One might think all men would go for it. But some men just want to live their life peacefully.

And the people of the Steppe kenos those that mate with many....lose their souls and heart.

They could no longer have sacredness in their hearts and their desire is the only thing that is left in their minds. Such creature is lowly than animals

And then of course they are some men that likes it. But just because they likes it, doesn’t mean their wives likes it

the women of the Steppe are not meek and timid like the people of Yan

It is fine for their men to wed a few women even a dozen women. But it is different for him to go and sleep with any wenches

What happens then was these wives simply find that tribe and kills every women that dare sleep with their husband

The women tribe then learn their lesson. Just because the men agreed, doesn’t mean the wives of these men agree.

The story of Steppe is filled with stories of scorned wives and lethal women that rides tigers and wolves into battle

Some of it is exaggeration....and some of it is a reminder.

So, the women groom their children especially men to become the place where they release their pent up desires.

When they were young, they do not understand.

But when they ride their horses and met warriors from other tribes and learns the culture of the Steppe they know then, that just as men could do unspeakable thing to women, the methods of the women is sometimes even more devious.

One of the young men feel angry.

And yes, while the women managed to fool these men, children, young and even conditioned them to feel fear, when these men fought in battle, they learn something that their mothers and the women in their tribe to deny

That they were stronger than them

The reason why the women wanted them soft is simply because they wanted the men to become a toy. And not the lion that they know these men could be

The men living under these women thought they were sheep

Then they found out, they are not sheep but a lion. And one of them returns home and simply slaughtered the real sheep

These stories are rare but it does happen

Since then, most tribes would married many women if they could afford giving them shelter and give them love and children

It is out of necessity and practicality

All of those that followed Aeryon that night is now living the high life.

The only reason not all of them become Noyan is simply because while their merit is high, their abilities could not measure.

After all, if one look at Aeryon highest command, other than Belarion and Mayeux, most of the other hires are not from inside the tribe.

Aeryon, this young kid....shows everyone, that while he is a young wolf, he could tear the throat of every old wolf there is near him

No one would dare treat him like a common young kid. This is the revered leader of the Brolgadhr

Even these arrogant warriors do not have the capital to act arrogant in front of him. In some cases, acting arrogant would get the appreciation of their lord.

But one must also possess the wisdom to know when to act arrogant and when to act humble.
