Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons
Chapter 1205 - Taming the Old World - Elemental Dragons - 2Chapter 1205: Chapter 1205 - Taming the Old World - Elemental Dragons - 2
Engaging five Diamond-rank dragons simultaneously under these conditions was not merely a tactical nightmare. It was almost an impossibility.
The colossal beasts had erupted from the fractured bedrock, the exact same reinforced earth that Julius and the Vanguard’s earth users had sealed, and that Ren’s most formidable strike had just shattered as a secondary effect. They burst through the smoking fissures one after another, shaking off the ash, each one radiating the suffocating, unmistakable aura of a stolen elemental core furiously beating in its chest.
Five sovereign dragons. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Wood.
The five elements that Selthia had systematically hunted down and successfully harvested across the vast expanse of Yino. They were now all resurrected, incarnated into hyper-mutated draconic vessels deliberately pushed to the absolute terrifying pinnacle of the Diamond rank.
They had been waiting as biomass reinforcements in the subterranean dark just as the second wave had, hidden in absolute secrecy by the special beasts powers, while the divine punishment like fire on the surface successfully devoured one hundred percent of the mutants but also one hundred percent of the Vanguard’s attention.
And the defenders were somewhat spent.
Every single dual-fusion had been severed to save mana. The primordial energy of the ancient dragons, which had kept them standing through the slaughter, was scraped down to less than half capacity in the best-case scenarios.
Ren was collapsed in the ground, completely hollowed out, fighting a desperate internal war against the sweet hug of his next coma to stand-up again, while his small mushroom friend was also hovering on the absolute brink of unconsciousness.
The veteran commanders were mostly at less than half energy. This was the absolute worst possible moment they could have ever faced a second, grueling siege. And this second war had just arrived boasting at least two and a half times the raw power of the first.
♢♢♢♢
The Vanguard attacked anyway.
Because surrender was inherently not an option on their board. Ren’s inner circle of friends, the elite academy instructors, the Qilin princes, every single one who still possessed the stamina to stand upright threw themselves blindly at the emerging dragons. They desperately tried to intercept the behemoths before they could establish a formation, ruthlessly exploiting the fleeting, chaotic window of ’vulnerability’ between the beasts erupting from the earth and finding their footing.
They executed the blitz flawlessly.
But it was absolutely not enough to prevent their darkest, most terrifying fear from materializing: the dragons had immediately lunged for the massive, scattered ancient artifacts.
Because that was the true core of the nightmare.
Engaging a single, Diamond-rank mutant dragon was already a borderline suicidal endeavor given their current exhaustion.
Engaging five of them was likely a death sentence.
And a Diamond-rank dragon flawlessly synchronized with two of Selthia’s special parasitic beasts had proven nearly invincible even when the Vanguard was fighting under vastly superior conditions...
A brand-new guardian Diamond dragon, let alone five of them, wielding the indestructible ancient artifacts as armor and weaponry was an entirely different, unfathomable tier of cosmic horror.
The Vanguard had correctly identified the main threat. They had desperately attempted to deny the dragons the artifacts.
But the ancient mechanics were simply too massive.
It was a staggering logistical nightmare that almost no one had accurately calculated in the heat of the moment.
Storing a huge indestructible, ancient relic inside a shadow space or the dimensional stomach of a contracted beast was not the same as storing a bag or a supply crate. Every single severed appendage was roughly the size of a multi-story building. Only an astronomically vast dimensional pocket, something on the exact terrifying scale of Ren’s one, could accommodate that kind of colossal hyper-dense mass. And out of all the surviving elites currently standing in the front, only two possessed spatial dimensions remotely capable of handling some of the load.
Julius, utilizing the spatial capacity of his no equal to Gold 3 Earth Wolverine, a capacity he had painstakingly expanded using the grueling 1000-day method and further duplicated through his flawless elemental synergy with the royal Qilin. And Luna, whose unique shadow dimension had aggressively, exceptionally mutated thanks to her intimate tether to Ren and the inherently bigger spatial nature of her special shadow wolf.
They were the absolute only two Tamers on the board capable of denying an artifact to the dragons.
But their spatial dimensions were completely pathetic compared to the vast, hollow abyss of Ren’s Jade Wolverine, which boasted ten times their capacity. They each only managed to snatch and successfully store a single piece.
The "tail", the fragment that had previously functioned as the two legs of the original mechanical dragon, was the only piece left vulnerable, simply because it had been severed and blown the furthest away from the epicenter of the draconic emergence. Luna and Julius had launched themselves toward it just in the nick of time, each swallowing one of the massive legs into their respective shadow spaces right before the snapping jaws or claws of a dragon could claim it.
Two massive artifact legs, successfully stolen from the enemy.
But in the grand scheme of the battlefield, it was a pathetically small tactical victory.
It was microscopic compared to the unfathomable nightmare that was currently rising from the crater.
♢♢♢♢
The five dragons did not fight as individual entities... They fused.
They merged, their colossal draconic bodies sickeningly intertwining, their stolen elemental cores aggressively synchronizing into a single, sovereign biological entity.
They mutated into a colossal Hydra.
Five distinct heads, each radiating the terrifying, absolute sovereignty of a different element, anchored to a single, monolithic chassis. And the six ancient artifacts they had successfully recovered were instantly, violently woven into the new biological structure.
The relics no longer bore the pitch-black, suffocating rot of the corruption; they were now a gleaming, pristine metallic color, glowing with a soft, ethereal purple light vastly lighter and cleaner than the sick darkness of the past.
The aura radiating from the mutated behemoth had shifted.
The sheer density of the beast’s exterior plating was now terrifyingly close to true adamantium, rivaling the exact structural integrity of Ren’s monolithic creation. The adamantium tower, the architectural masterpiece that had successfully weathered the relentless siege of the first mechanical dragon, was now staring down an entity whose aura matched or likely even surpassed its own strongest material.
The colossal beast, utilizing the six ancient artifacts as indestructible, metallic lower extremities, immediately began to move.
And by something that may be called luck, depending on who was asked, for the exhausted Tamers scattered across the ground, the Hydra did not instantly turn its wrath upon them.
It completely ignored the Vanguard... It marched straight for Ren’s tower.
But now it would not hold for too long again.
