Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?

Chapter 1710 - 1014: There’s a Second Stage? (2)

"What tremendous strength."

Just as he made a sarcastic remark, he dodged the Yellow Dragon’s breath with a swift side-step and hurled a Thunder Spear towards the enemy’s head.

"Pa!"

The thunder ignited fireworks on the Yellow Dragon’s head. The creature’s head snapped back upon impact, scattering shattered scales all around.

However, Leon was not satisfied with the effect of this strike.

"I clearly put force into hitting its head; how come I didn’t even blind one of its eyes?"

Just now, that Thunder Spear only shattered the scales near the opponent’s head. Was my damage too low? I didn’t focus much on Intelligence during my last upgrade, but the power of miracles shouldn’t drop to this degree, so...

These two giant dragons are simply too tough!

The two rampaging dragons stirred up chaos once again. Dragon Flames intertwined with debris being hurled around, while the White Dragon pursued relentlessly. The level of danger here was enough for a BOSS room in other areas.

Leon attempted to attack, confirming with both ranged and melee assaults how tough these two giant dragons were; a familiar sense surged within him.

Are monsters themselves too tough?

Isn’t this Sain Dungeon forcing him to find weak points to strike?

As for the weak points of these two dragons...

He blocked a ballista sent flying towards him, shaking his numb wrist before gripping the hammer handle tightly again, his eyes scanning over the parts on the White Dragon crawling with Human’s Pus—left wing, side of the abdomen, back, while similar spots filled with Human’s Pus appeared all over the Yellow Dragon, which never came down.

It seems that to kill them, he must blast all those tumors. Sain Dungeon won’t leave players with unsolvable enemies. Given that these spots are deliberately exposed between scales, they must be weak points.

Like some malignant tumor, the writhing Human’s Pus seemed to invite Leon to pierce them, which would surely relieve stress.

"Very well, let’s begin!"

He once again clutched the Sun Holy Bell, a complete Giant Thunder Spear took shape in his palm. His right arm pulled back, twisting his waist, positioning himself in a perfect throwing stance as the White Dragon’s mouth filled with flaming light—a precursor to an imminent Dragon Breath.

The Giant Thunder Spear shot out first, etching a straight trajectory through the air, piercing precisely into the writhing Human’s Pus on the White Dragon’s left wing!

The encounter of electricity with the viscous black liquid emitted a piercing screech. The Human’s Pus violently contracted under the Thunder Spear’s impact and then exploded in all directions. At this point, the White Dragon let out a shriek of pain, its entire body convulsing, causing the Dragon Breath to veer off course, scorching the nearby wall red.

The White Dragon snapped back from its tremor immediately, its attacks becoming even more frenzied, though its body still trembled, it splashed the Dragon Breath towards Leon like water, one stream barely leaving space before another. Leon utilized Hound Step continuously, flickering amidst the ruins, the ever-immobile Yellow Dragon joining the fray, yet its inability to move rendered it largely ineffective.

Clutching the Sun Holy Bell with his left hand, he continuously hurled Thunder Spears amidst his evasions. The electricity rained down on the White Dragon like a shower, breaking its scales despite the low power of the rapid Thunder Spears, yet their quantity prevailed, causing the giant dragon to roar repeatedly, its attacks growing increasingly manic and erratic.

The White Dragon realized it couldn’t let him keep shooting. It folded its wings, its massive body rushing forward like a mountain, borrowing the motion template of a Female Fire Dragon, even mimicking the short pre-motion.

Leon initiated Hound Step the moment before it collided with him, dodging sideways out of its path, but as the White Dragon passed beside him, it suddenly turned, spraying Dragon Breath right at his landing spot.

With no time for Hound Step to cool down, he smashed the Bordeaux Hammer into the ground, forcibly diverting this not-so-powerful Dragon Breath!

The Thunder Spear, from almost point-blank range, stabbed into the Human’s Pus on the enemy’s side abdomen, blasting the black tumor open, showering him in foul-smelling goo.

"Aoo—"

The White Dragon emitted a piercing wail.

At this moment, the tempo of battle entirely shifted as the White Dragon’s body shook continuously, its movement speed noticeably decreasing; even the seamless turn after a charge slowed considerably, appearing on its last legs. Leon ceased merely evading, beginning to close the gap and violently smash the hammer onto the White Dragon’s body.

Despite the White Dragon’s frantic thrashing, he didn’t retract the hammer, but utilized the rebound force from its head, spinning in a circle, executing an attack in the Lion Slash stance on the same location, flipping onto the White Dragon’s back by leveraging his momentum.

The White Dragon sensed the weight on its back, starting to thrash wildly, slapping its back with its remaining wing and whipping its tail at any reachable location, yet all in vain.

"Die, you."

The hammer mercilessly shattered the last bundle of Human’s Pus. The black tumor ruptured, emitting the most heart-wrenching howl yet from the White Dragon.

As the shriek abruptly ceased, the ground beneath Leon’s feet vanished suddenly; he found himself falling to the ground because the White Dragon’s body was dissipating into ash.

"So blowing up the Human’s Pus kills it outright."

I thought it might grant a big stagger.

Leon scratched his head, then set his sights on the last Yellow Dragon.

Now shriveled, seemingly indistinguishable from inorganic matter, the Yellow Dragon shivered under his gaze.

It opened its gaping maw towards Leon, bright light flaring in its throat, looking set to incinerate the entire square, yet as the flames erupted, Leon was already gone.

"Yo."

Upon reappearing, he was directly above the Yellow Dragon, smashing down with the hammer to blast the first bundle of Human’s Pus on its head.

"Aaaah—"

The Yellow Dragon emitted a distinctly different cry from the White Dragon’s; to the hunter Leon’s ears, it was music, but the next moment, the Yellow Dragon’s whole body convulsed violently.

Perceiving something amiss, he leapt back, landing just meters from the tightly shut gate.

And then, he watched as the Yellow Dragon’s entire body exploded, its scales erupting into fragments on the ground.

A Human’s Pus exceeding thirty meters in length, width, and height emerged.

It whirled its tendrils maniacally, resembling a black goat born of an Ancient God.

"Whoa..."

Leon, beholding this impressive sight, couldn’t help but take out an Image Stone to record it.

"So there’s a second phase too."

This Yellow Dragon, seemingly half-paralyzed, was likely laying low to pick off a pig pretending to be a tiger. Such a gargantuan Human’s Pus could easily dominate the White Dragon from earlier.

He glanced back at the gate, nodded immediately.

"Sorry, I’m out of here!"

The intensity of these two giant dragons must’ve been understated; surpassing even the likes of the Deep Bishop Group boss monsters. He wasn’t keen on continuing this battle.

Turn and run now, the transformed Yellow Dragon’s Human’s Pus likely won’t pursue relentlessly; once inside the building, I’d be safe!

With this thought, he turned and pushed the gate open just a crack, slipping inside, listening to the frenzied impact of Human’s Pus against the door behind him.

Yet beyond was not the building’s interior he envisioned, unfolding instead was a broad bridge leading to the true main city beyond.

How wide was this bridge? It could house three Omen Demon battle arenas.

"So vast, so expansive; could it be..."

Upon seeing this bridge, an uneasy thought crossed Leon’s mind.

The next second, a massive red butterfly descended from above.

[Pilgrimage Butterfly]

A towering figure, visibly unsettling Leon’s pupils, leapt down from this seemingly root-constructed butterfly—

[Dragon Hunter Armor]

"Boom!"

The gate behind was suddenly forced open, admitting an ultra-massive Human’s Pus worthy of Orion battles!

Once it squeezed in, the white mist signifying the boss monster’s area finally gathered at the gate, blocking Leon’s exit.

"Wait, what?"

Leon couldn’t help gasping; no one else bore greater pressure than him right now.

"Is there really a boss gauntlet?"
