Chapter 117: Chapter 117: First Harvest

’Four years. Four years of living in fear, of being watched closely for four years.’

’Six body-cleansing experiments, twenty-three Barrier-breaking Witchcraft spells, one hundred seventy-four Potions, three hundred twenty-seven Demon Pattern Books... and at this moment, I’ve finally succeeded!’

Andre lay back in the wooden tub, letting the Recovery Potion heal the wounds on his body while he gasped for air.

In his five years at the academy, he was always alone. He had no friends and went on none of the life-or-death adventures his peers did. All he had was constant, unwavering caution.

To keep the great families from getting to him, he was extremely cautious every time he emerged from the Wizard Inheritance Hall.

’So, my ancestor’s name was Angelson, and he left behind six Secret Realms in total.’

As Andre looked through the bloodline inheritance in his mind, he suddenly shot upright, sending a huge splash of water out of the wooden tub.

’It turns out the Secret Realm here in the Black and White Forest is the same one the great families discovered. It’s an extremely rare double Secret Realm.’

Andre’s eyes widened as he continued to review the knowledge inherited through his Bloodline.

After confirming he wasn’t mistaken, Andre didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. If he’d known, he would have come years ago to open the Secret Realm and take everything inside.

’But why would my ancestor set up such an incredibly difficult double Secret Realm?’

’It’s a classic case of a thankless task. The resources needed to create one double Secret Realm would be enough to create three regular ones.’

Andre scratched his wet hair, unable to quite grasp what Angelson had been thinking.

After a moment’s thought, however, Andre shook his head.

’Right now, instead of guessing at Angelson’s motives for creating the Secret Realm, I should just open it, take everything inside, and leave the great families empty-handed.’

Additionally, the Snake Woman had brought back some bad news when she helped him steal the Secret Realm’s coordinates.

One of the Morning Star Great Wizards from the great families was scheduled to return to the Senbai Wizard World next year.

Once that Morning Star Great Wizard returned to the Senbai Wizard World, they would undoubtedly make a direct move to attack the Secret Realm.

’That leaves me only one year. A year should be enough to empty out both Secret Realms.’

Andre rose from the wooden tub. He took a blanket from his Storage Ring, wiped the medicinal liquid from his body, and got dressed. After downing a Healing Potion, he cast Earth and Stone Manipulation and set off for the Secret Realm.

Three hours later, Andre’s figure slowly emerged from underground.

After emerging, Andre scanned his surroundings. Confirming he was alone, he walked toward the large tree he had marked previously.

Five minutes later, Andre found the tree he had marked.

’If this were anywhere else, four years would have been enough to erase this mark.’

Andre traced the mark he had carved, nodding in satisfaction. He then followed the direction it pointed.

Fifteen minutes later, Andre arrived inside a cave.

In the deepest part of the cave was the nexus point connecting the Secret Realm to the Senbai Wizard World.

’Before I broke the Chain of Hatred, I would’ve had to figure out some kind of Witchcraft to force the Secret Realm open. But now... it’s so easy.’

Andre took a small knife from his Storage Ring and sliced his palm. Blood instantly welled from the cut.

"By bloodline, the cause. By divinity, the chain. By hatred, the root..."

Andre raised his hand, continuously chanting the Spell passed down through his Bloodline’s inherited knowledge.

As he chanted faster and faster, Andre’s voice grew louder, echoing throughout the cave.

Simultaneously, a great deal of Magic Power flowed into Andre’s blood, guided by the Spell.

Finally, the blood left his palm, transforming into individual golden droplets.

The droplets of blood flew into the air and formed a ring.

Once the ring formed, the droplets began to shift and change, finally transforming into a series of Divine Patterns.

The Divine Patterns then flew toward the rock wall.

A deafening sound rang out each time a Divine Pattern struck the rock wall.

When the final Divine Pattern landed on the wall, a silver-white light burst from the rock. It enveloped Andre for a moment, sweeping over him.

Then, the silver-white light pulled Andre into the Secret Realm.

’So this is the Secret Realm my ancestor left behind?’

After entering the Secret Realm, Andre blinked to adjust to the light. He saw that everything within the realm was a luminous silver-white.

In various places around the Secret Realm, there were tools, boxes, and chests.

’My ancestor’s treasure... I’ve finally gotten my hands on it.’

A wide smile spread across Andre’s face as he looked at the treasures before him.

But soon, Andre realized something was wrong. All of the Divine Power Tools in the Secret Realm were covered in a layer of dust.

’According to the knowledge from my Bloodline, my ancestor carefully selected all these tools. Even though they’re only meant for descendants at the Wizard Apprentice stage, they shouldn’t look like this!’

Andre walked over to the tools and picked one up.

The moment he picked it up, the tool crumbled into ash.

’Three thousand years have passed. No one has used these tools, and with the Magic Power in this Secret Realm being so weak, the Divine Patterns inside them lost their magical nourishment and collapsed. That’s why they’ve been reduced to these ashen husks.’

Andre picked up the tools one by one, examining each carefully. But without exception, the result was the same.

’If this is the case, then what was the point of my ancestor leaving these Secret Realms behind?’

’He must have considered this when he was creating them.’

Andre’s gaze fell upon the chests. He walked over and opened one.

’Now this is more like it. This is what a Secret Realm is supposed to have.’

A smile returned to Andre’s face as he looked at the chests with satisfaction. They were filled with all sorts of different metals.

Each type of metal was incredibly valuable in the Senbai Wizard World and other Wizard Worlds.

’Even though the Divine Power Tools were all ruined, these metals alone make it all worthwhile.’

Andre opened all the chests. Every single one was filled with various metals, their combined value easily exceeding ten million Medium Magic Stones.

But if he wanted to sell them for that price, there was one more thing Andre had to do.

He had to take the metals out, infuse them with Magic Power, and restore them to their former luster.

The metals had been sitting in the Secret Realm for three thousand years, and some of their internal Magic Power had dissipated.

Although a great deal of Magic Power still remained within them, infusing them with more was an essential step to unlock their full potential.

And this was a necessary step for restoring many a Wizard’s legacy.
