Chapter 141: Chapter 141: All for Nothing
As Tate increased his Magic Power output, ripples spread across the surface of the Divine Array.
Seeing this, an excited expression flashed across Tate’s face as he continued to increase his Magic Power output.
This was the most powerful Witchcraft he had cast in the Senbai Wizard World.
As Tate continued to pour in more Magic Power, the light grew increasingly brilliant, and the Witchcraft’s might even began to fracture the surrounding space.
"What!" Upon hearing the sound of space tearing, Tate’s expression turned grim as he quickly reined in his Magic Power.
In his attempt to break the Divine Array left by Angeles, he hadn’t used Morning Star Witchcraft, instead opting for the Level 3 Witchcraft, Radiant Impact.
This was because the current Senbai Wizard World could barely withstand the power of Morning Star Witchcraft.
If he lost control, the Senbai Wizard World would suffer another devastating blow, and the world itself could collapse again.
He himself would be fine, but if Kraken and the others were unlucky, a breach in the world barrier would hurl them directly into the Star Realm.
A Morning Star Great Wizard possessed the Ability to survive in the Star Realm, but the others did not. Once in the Star Realm, Kraken and the others would be killed by its deadly radiation.
Afterward, the Magic Power in their bodies would dissipate, attracting cosmic dust from the Star Realm and turning them into its asteroids.
This was the origin of so many of the clumps of earth and rock in the Star Realm.
But Tate had never imagined that simply amplifying the power of the Witchcraft, Halo Impact, with his Morning Star Golem would be enough to create cracks in the Senbai World’s barrier.
This gave Tate a new appreciation for just how fragile the Senbai World currently was.
"Ancestor, will it work?" Kraken asked, closing his eyes as he walked to Tate’s side.
"It doesn’t matter. It just means using a different method. Even if I have to restrain my Power, it won’t take more than a few days to open it."
Tate looked at the Divine Array before them, gave a cold laugh, and offered his answer.
「Three days later.」 The Divine Array could hold no longer, dissolving into countless golden particles before Tate and Kraken’s eyes.
"It’s finally open! Haha!"
A smile spread across Kraken’s face as he watched the Divine Pattern fade away.
But what appeared before them next left them utterly stunned.
"Where are the treasures? Where’s the Secret Realm? How can there be nothing here?"
After the Divine Array vanished, it revealed nothing but a barren, empty plot of land.
On this barren, empty plot of land, there was nothing at all.
"Don’t be hasty. Angelson would use a Divine Array to guard a Secret Realm, but why wouldn’t he place a second layer of concealment over it?" In contrast to the anxious Kraken, Tate was perfectly calm. He immediately began casting Witchcraft, preparing to locate the hidden Secret Realm.
But no matter how he searched, he couldn’t detect any fluctuations from a Secret Realm.
"How is that possible!" Kraken’s eyes went wide as he continuously cast all sorts of detection Witchcraft, sweeping them over the area.
But no matter how he scanned, he found nothing.
"Could it be that the Secret Realm isn’t here? Did Angelson build it somewhere else? Is this just a Blinding Technique he set up, or what?"
Kraken was on the verge of madness. He had dreamed of this Secret Realm for so long, only for it to turn out to be a wild goose chase.
Tate stared at the empty ground, momentarily at a loss for words.
"Ancestor, where do you think the Secret Realm went?"
In response to Kraken’s question, Tate just shook his head helplessly.
’You’re asking me? Who am I supposed to ask? Am I supposed to go ask the dead Angelson where his Secret Realm is?’
"Could that kid have gotten it?"
Kraken came to a realization, his focus shifting back to Andre.
"Who? Andre... the new blood from the Wizard recruitment two cycles ago."
Tate saw Kraken’s teeth-gritting expression and knew who he was talking about.
"Yes, him! Ancestor, how do you know about Andre?"
It dawned on Kraken, and he looked at Tate with a trace of confusion.
"Impossible!" Tate heard Kraken and immediately refuted the idea on Andre’s behalf.
"I heard the same thing from Krell on my way back."
"He’s Radak’s disciple, correct?"
Hearing this, Kraken subconsciously nodded.
"Then there’s no mistake. If Andre really did obtain Angelson’s Divine Blood from Secret Realm No. 1, he would have surely given it to Radak to help him identify what that drop of Divine Blood was."
"And Radak would certainly be able to identify it. Once he did, what would he do? He would go to his master."
"With his master’s power, why would this Divine Array still be here?"
"Let’s take a step back. Let’s say Andre didn’t give the Divine Blood to Radak for identification. Could the aura of Divine Blood really be hidden from Radak?"
Faced with Tate’s words, Kraken had to admit it sounded very reasonable.
’But something still felt off. Why was his ancestor speaking up for a guy like Andre?’
"Radak’s master is set to break through and become a Red Sun Great Wizard in a few decades. If Angelson truly left something behind, do you think Radak’s master wouldn’t take it to increase his own chances of success?"
Seeing that Kraken still didn’t understand, Tate spelled it out for him.
Only then did Kraken understand what Tate meant.
"It seems the Divine Blood really isn’t with Andre."
Kraken was extremely frustrated. He and his partners from several other families had come here and stumbled upon this Divine Array by chance.
But he never expected that after opening the Divine Array, it would all be for nothing.
"Don’t be too disheartened. This just proves that Angelson did indeed leave a Secret Realm behind in his lifetime. You’ve merely encountered a Blinding Technique."
"With the combined strength of our families, we can still search for it within the Senbai World."
"Didn’t the family create all those Witchcraft Tools that can sense the aura of Angelson’s Divine Power? Now, we just need to have our clansmen search for it throughout the Senbai World."
Tate said comfortingly, seeing the desolate look on Kraken’s face.
Upon hearing this, Kraken gradually composed himself.
Given his personality, he wouldn’t normally act this way, but his hopes had been so high that the sudden crash was a bit much for him to accept at once.
"Also, change the family’s attitude toward Andre."
Seeing that Kraken had recovered, Tate looked at him and said.
"Why?" Before Kraken could finish, Tate cut him off.
"He’s already a Master Alchemist. I just received a message from Krell. A few days ago, he forged several Witchcraft Artifacts for himself. A talent like that... it’s better not to make an enemy of him."
"Andre forged Witchcraft Artifacts for himself? Where did he get the materials?"
Hearing this, Kraken became agitated again.
Tate looked at Kraken as if he were an idiot.
"He’s a Master Alchemist. Where do you think his materials came from?"
Tate felt a wave of exhaustion. ’Having a junior in the family like Kraken,’ he thought, ’is truly a misfortune for the clan.’
