Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Space Jump

"BLECH!" The sound of Andre’s retching echoed throughout the *Morning Sky*.

’I’ve already been through this three times, and I still can’t handle the fourth one.’

Andre gagged himself repeatedly, but the sensations of weightlessness, floating, and dizziness from the Space Jump across the World Group were still excruciating.

Even with his current physique, he could barely withstand it.

If the Expedition Array hadn’t mitigated the initial shock and the Star Realm Battleship hadn’t dampened the rest, he feared he would have died from the experience.

’One last jump... ugh!’

After dry-heaving for what felt like an eternity, Andre collapsed onto the floor. He stared up at the metallic ceiling, his body twitching uncontrollably.

After these four Space Jumps, Andre finally understood why they were given three years of rest during the voyage.

That three-year period was purely for the Wizards to recover.

Without that recovery time, a considerable number of Wizards would likely have died from the sensations the Space Jumps induced.

After all, upon becoming Official Wizards, their physical fortitude increased dramatically, and their bodies even started to become semi-ethereal.

The resilience of such a constitution was already considered extremely high.

Yet a few Space Jumps were enough to kill them, which spoke volumes about the intensity of the process.

Andre let out a breath, closed his eyes, and sank into a deep sleep right there on the floor.

When he awoke, a month had passed.

Sleep, it turned out, was the fastest way to eliminate the discomfort caused by a Space Jump.

’Has it been a month already? My recovery is much faster than before.’

Andre stood up and nodded in satisfaction after Wei Xing informed him of how long he had slept.

Andre was satisfied because after the first Space Jump, he had been out cold for a full year aboard the *Morning Sky*. After the second, he was out for four months, and after the third, two and a half.

Now, however, he had only been unconscious for a month. After a few more jumps, he should be able to adapt completely.

’At this rate, I’ll probably be up in less than half a month after the fifth jump.’

Andre got up from the floor, summoned the System, and looked at his current stats.

’I can barely keep my Bloodline Power sealed anymore,’

Andre sighed helplessly as he looked at the stats displayed on the System panel.

Driven by his Bloodline Power, his body had reached the tipping point for a Level 1 Wizard. He could break through to become a Level 2 Wizard at any moment.

’Once I break through to become a Level 2 Wizard, my Bloodline Power will be completely depleted. The only way to replenish it would be to enhance my Bloodline again, just like before, and constantly drink Potions to boost my Bloodline Power.’

Andre’s skyrocketing physical stats were giving him a major headache.

Although becoming a Level 2 Body Refining Wizard was, in itself, a good thing...

...one thing couldn’t be ignored: an overly powerful body could easily cause his Path of Truth to deviate.

This very phenomenon had occurred many times throughout the history of the Wizard World.

As a result, many corrective forms of Witchcraft had been developed in the Wizard World.

’But correction takes time. I’ll just have to hold on a little longer.’

Andre chugged a Potion, forcing his body into a weakened state. He then cast another layer of Sealing Witchcraft on himself, suppressing the Bloodline Power surging within him.

By now, Andre had already placed twelve layers of Sealing Witchcraft on himself.

If not for the constraints of these twelve layers of Sealing Witchcraft, his body would have long since broken through, prematurely turning him into a Level 2 Body Refining Wizard.

’Nine years have passed in the blink of an eye. So much can happen in nine years.’

Andre glanced out at the pitch-black Star Realm, then took out a book and began to flip through it.

By this point, the first step of his Chaos Truth Ladder had almost completely solidified; only its very edges retained a faint, illusory quality.

The moment that illusory quality vanished would be the moment Andre became a Level 2 Wizard.

’In these nine years, quite a few Level 1 Wizards must have already advanced to Level 2.’

’Nine years ago, I had only just become a Level 1 Wizard, and now I’m on the verge of becoming a Level 2 Wizard.’

His thoughts turned to Qiu Ze’Er and Karina, acquaintances from the Main Institute. They were Level 1 Wizards, too.

’The Expedition Array is too vast; there’s no way to contact them.’

Thinking of Qiu Ze’Er and the others, Andre raised his head and glanced outside.

All the Star Realm Battleships were floating silently in the Star Realm, using their Void Furnaces to replenish their energy reserves.

’Time to keep accumulating Truth!’ After one last glance, Andre returned his focus to his book.

Time passed quickly, especially amidst such a monotonous existence.

At first, the monotony was unbearable; it felt as if one’s very soul was withering away.

But once you endured the monotony for long enough, it ceased to feel monotonous at all.

By that point, you’d already lost all track of the days.

"Everyone, prepare!" As Cohen’s voice rang out, all the Wizards returned to the Central Control Rooms of their respective battleships, awaiting the fifth Space Jump.

With a flash of incandescent white light, the fleet vanished.

When the white light faded, Andre’s eyes rolled back in his head as bile rose in his throat.

Just before the Space Jump, he had downed a bottle of Spirit Potion to restore his Spiritual Power.

He never expected the final Space Jump to commence the very instant he drank the Potion.

"You have one month to recover. After that, we will draw lots, assign targets, and commence combat operations."

Cohen’s voice echoed through every Star Realm Battleship.

Andre nodded, then ran to the lavatory and began vomiting uncontrollably, heaving up all the bile in his stomach.

But even then, the wretched feeling persisted.

He kept retching, but there was nothing left to bring up.
