Chapter 201: Chapter 201: Research Notes
’This is Qiu Ze’Er’s direction?’
Andre looked in the direction the leaf was pointing, completely baffled.
As Andre pondered this, the leaf suddenly shattered, turning to dust and landing at his feet.
’Is it trying to warn me?’
Andre frowned and looked in Qiu Ze’Er’s direction.
Meanwhile, aboard Qiu Ze’Er’s battleship, after venting all his rage, Qiu Ze’Er tried once again to contact Andre’s Morning Sky.
"Andre!" Qiu Ze’Er tried repeatedly, but there was still no response.
"What happened?!" Qiu Ze’Er’s brow was furrowed, his eyes bloodshot.
’Could Andre have found out?’
The thought flashed through Qiu Ze’Er’s mind, but he immediately dismissed it.
He knew Andre possessed nothing that could defend against Destiny Witchcraft.
Besides, the conditions for activating the Fate Pocket Watch were incredibly simple. As long as Andre agreed to his terms, the fate exchange inscribed on it would swap the luck between the two of them.
The entire process was undetectable. Even if Andre noticed his luck worsen, he would just assume it was a normal, cyclical fluctuation.
’What in the world is going on?’
Just as Qiu Ze’Er was racking his brain, a projection suddenly materialized inside the Morning Sky.
But it wasn’t Qiu Ze’Er’s projection. It was Red-haired Klein’s.
"Andre, return to the War Mother Ship!"
"Grandmaster, has something happened?"
Andre asked, puzzled by Red-haired Klein’s words.
"I have a task for you." Red-haired Klein nodded, and his projection vanished.
’What could be so important that Grandmaster has to tell me himself?’
Andre scratched his head, muttering to himself.
Just then, he noticed the communication request from Qiu Ze’Er.
Andre accepted the request, and Qiu Ze’Er’s projection instantly appeared before him.
When Qiu Ze’Er saw that Andre had accepted the call, he instantly wiped the look off his face, replacing it with a smile.
"Qiu Ze’Er, something’s come up. I have to leave for a while."
Just as Qiu Ze’Er was about to make his request again, Andre’s words cut him off.
"What happened?" Qiu Ze’Er blinked, asking instinctively.
"My Grandmaster needs me, so I have to return to the War Mother Ship. We’ll talk about your debt later."
After saying that, Andre closed the comms. He then had Wei Xing input the coordinates for the War Mother Ship and activate the Space Transmission to teleport there directly.
A moment later, a faint, silver-white passageway materialized before the Morning Sky, courtesy of the Sky-Splitting Blade.
Under Wei Xing’s control, the Morning Sky then entered the passage, vanishing before a stunned Qiu Ze’Er.
Qiu Ze’Er watched the Morning Sky disappear, his mouth agape. He wanted to say something, but no words came out.
At the same time, a wave of fear washed over him!
’Could Andre’s Grandmaster have discovered what I did?’
’If his Grandmaster found out, this is bad. I have to run. Now.’
’But if he really did find out, would someone with his personality just let me get away with scheming against Andre?’
’It’s only for a month, but a lot can happen in that time.’
For a moment, Qiu Ze’Er’s mind was a tangled mess of panic.
In the end, however, he boarded his Star Realm Battleship and fled, beginning a life of drifting toward parts unknown.
Meanwhile, on Andre’s end, the space passageway opened, and the Morning Sky emerged before the War Mother Ship.
Tractor chains then extended from the War Mother Ship, pulling the Morning Sky inside.
Andre then used a Teleportation Array to arrive in the Central Control Room.
"Grandmaster, you wanted to see me?"
Andre looked at Red-haired Klein, confused.
"You mentioned before that you’ve researched the Bloodline of this world’s Multi-Body Race. Do you have detailed data?"
Red-haired Klein asked, looking at Andre.
Andre nodded and took out his notes.
"All of these?" Red-haired Klein’s eyes widened as he looked at the pile of notes Andre produced.
"Ah, no, not these. These notes contain data I’ve compiled on this world’s Magic Plants."
"These are the notes on the Multi-Body Race."
Andre looked at the notebooks Klein was pointing at, shook his head, then took out a different set of notes detailing the various branches of the Multi-Body Race and handed them to him.
"This is still quite a lot!" Red-haired Klein glanced at Andre.
"I’ve run experiments on every branch. The notes for each branch fill about two to four notebooks."
Andre explained to Red-haired Klein.
"Two to four notebooks for every branch... that’s quite a workload."
Red-haired Klein nodded and began to flip through Andre’s notes.
"Do you have any specimens for comparison?"
After reading for a moment, Red-haired Klein looked up at Andre and made another request.
Andre nodded and produced the corpses of the various Multi-Body Race branches he had hunted.
He then took out the extracted Bloodline Power and laid it all out before Red-haired Klein.
"There are this many?" A flicker of surprise crossed Red-haired Klein’s eyes as he looked at the specimens and the Bloodlines Andre had extracted.
There were seven or eight types of Bloodline Power alone, and over twenty corpse specimens.
"Seal this Bloodline Power away so we can study the specimens," Red-haired Klein said to the person beside him.
He then gestured toward that person and said to Andre, "You two should get acquainted."
"Hello, I’m Landra, head of the Decomposition Chamber on this War Mother Ship."
The woman looked at Andre and nodded.
Andre looked at the woman named Landra and nodded in return.
"I’m Andre. You could say I’m the captain of the First Expedition Squad."
"Captain... you... how long have you been an Official Wizard?"
Landra hadn’t even spoken, but Red-haired Klein was already staring at Andre in astonishment.
"Grandmaster, it’s been almost 30 years since I became an Official Wizard. Besides, I’m a Level 2 Wizard now."
Andre said helplessly, looking at his Grandmaster.
Andre didn’t know if it was because Red-haired Klein was an avatar, but he had a tendency to be extremely serious one moment and completely flippant the next.
’What kind of Grandmaster doubts a disciple from his own lineage?’
Red-haired Klein was the first he’d ever met.
