Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

Chapter 420 - 183: Are You Prepared to Welcome Death?

’Are they being meticulous, or do they just see me as that important?’

The thought was fleeting. He blinked away again, heading for the female Holy Professional dressed as a Priest at the ship’s bow.

Simultaneously, the illusory double he’d left behind cast a Charm Spell on the surrounding Holy Professionals. "Mens, Di."

The Holy Professionals knew exactly what kind of ability Wei’en’s spell possessed. "Shatter them!"

Before the charmed Holy Professionals could attack their allies, Huberto reacted swiftly, knocking them unconscious one by one. When his gaze fell upon Wei’en, a flicker of pity crossed his cold eyes.

’Pavla is not so easy to kill!’

Wei’en blinked in front of the Priest, pressed the muzzle of his sniper rifle to her head, and pulled the trigger.

BANG!

The bullet flew out, piercing the Priest’s head, but the expected death never came. It passed straight through the other side of her skull as if it hadn’t hit a target at all.

Huh?

"...Dawn, eternal!" The Priest, Pavla, stared directly at Wei’en. Her eyes had turned gold, and a pair of matching golden wings unfurled behind her. "Judgment!"

As if greatly inspired, the Dawn Saints behind her drew the longswords from their waists in perfect unison. They struck the blades against their raised shields and roared as one, "Judgment!"

In the next instant, a brilliant radiance erupted from their bodies, rising and converging to form a massive golden blade that hovered above their heads.

[As your Origin exceeds 500, you are immune to the erosion of the Spring of Dawn Faith. Evaluation: The Power of Faith is a power of the same source; the greater its quantity, the greater its might. Reward: Survival Points +10, Spirit Level +2, Toughness Level +2.]

’Spring of Faith?’

’I remember Melbel using an ability just like this back at Krimms Cathedral...’

Before Wei’en could even move, the Judgment Knight Huberto brandished his greatsword. A faint holy aura emanated from him, as if he were drawing in the scattered Power of Faith from the air.

The greatsword of golden light in mid-air mirrored his movements, slowly turning upright. Its tip pointed to the sky, and one of its edges was aimed directly at Wei’en.

Seeing this, Wei’en instinctively tried to use Blink to get away.

Huh?

[The Spring of Faith has expelled all surrounding Elemental Power. Your Blink (Death God) Magic has failed. Evaluation: Run! Special Reward: Survival Points +10, Blink (Death God) Experience +1.]

’No Elemental Power!?’

Wei’en’s expression changed. His mind raced as he activated his talent, Spiritual Conversion, converting his Spiritual Power into Toughness!

Pushing off his toes, he leaped away.

"Blade of Judgment!"

The instant he moved, Huberto swung his greatsword in a diagonal slash. His blade and the golden sword of light behind him moved as one, sending two massive, holy-imbued slashes cutting straight through the lookout post.

Wei’en barely dodged, the attack grazing past him. He could feel the astonishing power contained within the blades; if either had connected, he would have been cleaved in two instantly.

"Oh?"

Huberto’s brow furrowed as he followed Wei’en’s movements.

’Strange. How can a Wizard from the Ghost Soul School possess such formidable physical strength?’

’Even with his Magic restricted, a single strike wasn’t enough.’

’Peculiar... Anyone who warrants a Judgment Order from the Dawn Church is bound to have extraordinary wits and methods.’

’But, it’s not over yet—’

Huberto’s form wavered for a moment, then vanished like a fading shadow.

He reappeared at Wei’en’s side, swinging his greatsword down. "Judgment!"

Having just dodged the two slashes, Wei’en felt the pressure on him intensify, as if an invisible force had locked him in place.

’Here it comes again!’

"Ghost!"

"Wol, Gans, Tar!" (Bone Wall!)

Although the surrounding Elemental Power had been expelled, Undead Magic, fortunately, wasn’t elemental. It was related to runes and summoning.

Even so, Wei’en didn’t dare let his guard down. He knew the Bone Wall couldn’t withstand an attack from a Judgment Knight, so he immediately rolled toward the ship’s rail.

He knew he couldn’t keep fighting on this ship with its magic-suppressing field.

"Red Heart!"

"An Jie, Te, Jinsen!" (Boiling Blood!)

With his Toughness Level now converted to a staggering 10,000, Boiling Blood could push him into a burst state equivalent to a Toughness Level of 20,000.

Instantly, his body swelled grotesquely for a moment before shrinking back down. Blood coursed through him at an accelerated rate, causing veins to bulge all over his body. His skin turned a furious crimson, as if being roasted from the inside, giving him a ferocious appearance.

But Wei’en knew that in this state, his body was immensely powerful. He was stronger, faster, and his reflexes had become much more acute.

By combining his spiritual perception with his body’s five senses, he could faintly track Huberto’s movements.

The moment his roll ended, he sprang to his feet, leaped to dodge another strike, and then ran for the ship’s rail without pause.

"Hm? The enhancement system from the Blood Spirit School, the Boiling Blood Secret Technique?" Huberto’s eyes narrowed. He continued his pursuit without breaking stride and sneered, "Undead Magic, Elemental Magic, flesh enhancement, oh, and the Mechanical Puppets you used in Caster. Four sub-origins... If you were to die, I imagine those old fossils at the Ghost Soul School would be quite heartbroken, wouldn’t they?"

"Hmph! If you all die here, I’m sure the Dawn Church will be just as heartbroken!"

Wei’en shot back a retort while dodging. At the same time, he motioned for the ghost to continue casting Undead Magic at the other Holy Professionals.

"Ble, Franco, Ah Wa!"

"Deep, Roko, Men!"
